I called on a Friday for a non emergency plumbing issue. I was scheduled for Monday afternoon. Chris, the plumber, called 15 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on the way. He was professional and polite. He explained to us what the problem was and offered several solutions with prices for each. He did a great job. We highly recommend Service Today. We used the Seaford office.

This company installed my last two HVAC systems. I just had a service call for a heat problem. They charged me $623 to replace a thermostat. I see the thermostat available for under $200. So over $400 to replace a thermostat. Beware Beware Beware call someone else

Worst company ever. They came to my house December 16th 2021 for service contract. The service man advised me I needed all new duct work and new ground cover in my crawl space. The cost would be $8960.00. I had 2 other heating companies come to my house a few days later and they both advised there was nothing wrong with my duct work and the ground cover only needed to be straightened out. This is not the first time I have been ripped off from Service Today. They make excuses for there employees. I have heard from another company that Service TI day has been sold so they really do not care for there customers. I sent them an email complaint on December 24th to request the other half of my service agreement money to be refunded to me and I have not heard anything from them. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. Do not ever use Service Today.

We have been using them for service as well as twice a year preventative maintenance. Sad to say they have gone down not only in their service but in their response back when their is a problem. Times maybe tough to find good technicians but I don't feel either tech from spring service nor the fall service were competent. Fall visit the tech installed replacement filter in humidifier and failed to align properly when reinstalled causing the condensation from the gas furnace to dump beside the unit and saturate the floor , metal return duct as well as the insulation around the duct work. I was Multiple calls, people running interference helping each level hide behind one another and not allowing to get to any upper management to hear problems. Don't feel like taking the time to share all the poor customer service I experienced. Just consider yourself warned and we will be looking for a company that hasn't grown so big that they forget how they got there.

These people will try to sell you unnecessary units. Call them if you want to get lying salespeople to come out instead of someone that wants to fix the problem.

Service Today HVAC unit transformed from a reliable company to a company that tries to rip off the customers. Very sad! No wonder there are so many bad reviews!
We invited Service Today HVAC to check on the AC unit of our rental property, and we were told by their technician that the unit is not working and that we have two options : to repair with the cost of up to $3000, or replace it for about $6000. We called another HVAC company only to find out that our AC unit did not have any problems and was working fine.
When we related this situation to Service Today customer service they were quite rude and not responsive.
We complexly lost our confidence in HVAC services of Service Today, and we asked them to cancel two service agreements that we recently signed with them. They canceled both of the agreements but they DID NOT REIMBURSE us....

Air conditioner was not operating at all. Called Service Today and was told it would be $149.00 to send repairman to troubleshoot. (extra $100.00 because after normal hours) Agreed and repairman arrived a short time later. Spent about 20 minutes troubleshooting and determined a starting capacitor for the fan motor was bad. Had one available and told me it would cost $274.00 to replace. It was hot and I agreed to have it replaced. The old one was already out and he just put the new one in and connected the slip on wires. Put all back together and unit started operating fine. Repairman was courteous and wearing mask. Looked up price of capacitor replaced the next day and it was averaging about $25-30 dollars on numerous sites. Called Service Today and inquired why it cost me $274.00 for the $30 dollar capacitor that had been replaced. I explained I had already paid $149.00 to determine problem and it had already been removed by the technician and hooking up the few wires should not cost that much. She explained to me that the $274.00 charge is what it would cost to come out and change the capacitor. So I guess there $49.00 fee only gets you the troubleshooting and if any other work is performed, then they start charging like they just came out to do that repair that was troubleshot.

After spending over $15,000.00 to have my HVAC system completely replaced including the second floor ducting, Service Today repaired a leak in the drainage pipe, and refused to repair the wall, floor, carpet, and carpet pad for water damage. It had been only 10 months from installation, and only six full weeks of operation. They blamed the cracked fitting on me, the homeowner, even though the fitting was located inside a wall cavity.

So much for their guarantee of total satisfaction.
