Service Tech Plumbing in Oregon is not a plumbing company I want to do business with in the future. I filed a claim for the replacement of a pressure regulator because my house water pressure was registering over 135 psi. The matter was relatively urgent. But Service Tech made the experience much worse.
Service Tech took 6 weeks to even look at the problem. After that, three times they went to the property before coordinating with the tenant or me, or the property management company, wasting more time.
Steve extracted a promise from me to pay for two hours of their time, which I did. But this is definitely a case of taking advantage of an owner who lives out of town and has a rental property. Steve had three phone numbers to call and arrived without an appointment so in my mind, he was looking for a way to pay for his own wasted time.
Service Tech's direct actions delayed this emergency project another 6 weeks.
It took almost 3 months for Service Tech to decide there was no pressure regulator at the site so insurance did not cover the project. Meanwhile, they billed for 2 hours @ $105 per hour.
Additionally, Service Tech, in finally rejecting the job, FALSLY reported that the pipes going from the house to the meter were so corroded they could not put in a pressure valve, and they referred me to a pipe company they knew.
Subsequently, I received service from Yeager's Plumbing 1022 NE Stephens St, Roseburg, OR 97470 within a week and for a reasonable price. They installed the pressure valve easily at the meter. They reported that the pipes going to the meter were in good shape and they had no problem.
Two other plumbers determined the pipes were fine as well.
Of the dozen people I've worked with on this project, all of the contractors have advised that Service Tech Plumbing has a very bad local reputation. I've experienced problems with them before and I will not do business with this company when I have future plumbing needs

We needed to have a back-flow preventer unit installed, along with some extra pipe laid to bypass a tree that had grown over our main pipe from our water meter at the street.

Steve from Service Tech was not only professional, but worked with us to help get the job done quickly. We couldn't believe how little the job cost was at the end (he didn't beef up the backflow unit cost in any way, etc.)

Do yourself a favor, get your job quoted out, but then call Steve at Service Tech. I guarantee you will go with him for the job (he's the lowest per hour labor cost) and you'll be very happy you did!

Dave, called ahead, let me know when he would be there, was very thorough, checked everything out and made me very comfortable with the prognosis. He could have said there were horrible things going on under the house but he didn't. He assured me everything looked good. He tracked the pipes all the way back, checked the meter, even checked the neighbors meter. The man was extremely thorough.
I highly recommend Service Tech. They know how to hire quality people!

Steve arrived as planned to fix three minor but annoying plumbing issues. He was very nice and efficient getting everything sorted out. He had the parts we needed in his truck so there were no delays and no need to schedule a time for him to come back. We will gladly contact Service Tech Plumbing in the future if we need any plumbing work done.

Strongly recommend these guys. They are fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. When I had a busted pipe and everyone else in town quoted at least a week even for emergent service, Steve from Service Tech found a way to make it out that afternoon. Have used them several times and am extremely pleased. They are my go-to plumbing service.
