I have been a plumber in New Jersey my entire life, and I founded Service Professionals over 30 years ago with a clear mission:
To provide homeowners with reliable plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services while offering the best job opportunities to my team.
When I began, home contractors lacked a reputation for professionalism and reliability, and I committed to changing that. That level of Thumbs Up Professionalism is still our defining characteristic.
Kellie and I guarantee you will appreciate the skill of the professionals I dispatch to your home, the excellence of their work, and the service we deliver.

very good service in cleaning up an old heating unit.
Another month, another emergency plumbing job. This one started out as a leak from the kitchen sink and snowballed into something else altogether. Multiple lengths of pipe had to be accessed and repaired/replaced/power scrubbed, which gets worse when realizing where all that pipe snakes through. The dishwasher, exterior siding, basement ceiling, basement wall, and basement cement floor all had to be removed. Considering the house was built in 1939, I was overwhelmed by the scope of work required, but not shocked.
I was under a fair amount of time pressure, and Ron A. from Service Professionals was able to get all the work done in an amazingly short time. The leak was discovered on a Monday, he showed up within a couple hours to assess the situation, and everything was done by Friday afternoon. He kept me up to date along the way and sent numerous photos of the damaged pipe while I was at work. Every work day ended with a follow up phone call, and Ron patiently answered all my questions until I was satisfied.
I've dealt with plenty of home repair people; the last guy couldn't stop talking down to me as if I were his child and he was doing me some huge favor, in between drags of his cigarette. My experiences with Service Professionals have always been the opposite. Everything truly was done in a courteous and professional manner, from the receptionist to the technician that showed up in my home.
My last comment would be on pricing. In an emergency situation (which this was), there isn't enough time to get five estimates. Was it cheap? No. Did a ton of work have to be done? Yes. Could I have gotten everything done for less? I have no idea. Was it properly diagnosed and thoroughly addressed, all in a quick and professional manner? Absolutely.
I would use them again in a heartbeat, especially in an emergency. I like and trust this company. Enough said.
I had a faucet problem, water handle would keep turning and i could never know if the water was hot, cold or would turn on or off. I called these guys and they said the diagnosis is free and if i don;t use them it will cost $60. I agreed. The tech came to the house and did not touch it or tell me what was wrong. He spent 35 minutes going over his pitch book telling me why i should spend $457 for the faucet when i asked a simple question (what is the cost for parts and cost for labor). I was so frustrated i gave him the $60 and asked him to leave. Luckily, a plumber i know came and replaced a broken gasket which cost $6 and took him 10 minutes. i got the job done for $56 vs $457. Never call them unless you want to get ripped off
Judy S.This company installed my air conditioner in the fall of 2013. It has already stopped running twice. When it was sold to me, I was told they had 24/7 emergency service. However, if you actually call on a weekend or evening, you never get a call back from them until the next working day. This most recent breakdown, I called at midnight. When I got the call back finally at 7:30 in the morning, I was told the call came in after midnight and the technician was asleep. A technician arrived finally at 4:15 in the afternoon and assured me the problem was due to an over sensitive moisture sensor. By 10:15 that evening, the air conditioner was not working again and the pan under the unit was full of water. Two hours later, no response from a technician. I will be looking for a new service company tomorrow. Using Service Professionals is looking like a very expensive bad decision.
Cindy C.I was very happy with my experience with Ron, the service technician. We had our A/C systems checked and tuned up. He was professional, and very detailed. He took pictures to show us the issues that we had. He was never pushy, and was honest in letting us know that repairs would be costly, and it would be better just to replace our (very) old system.
While he was checking on the unit in the attic, he also let us know about other issues he noticed that did not have anything to do with the A/C.
We would definitely hire him again.
I am not sure how the repair home improvement services industry works anymore but I feel that to get a clear answer on about anything is like putting your finger through your eye and then swirling your brain around. I called the 877 number just to find out if I can get a service and a recharge and inquired what the cost would be... but getting a straight answer from this guy was unbelievable. Its like he was more interested in getting my info into a database and setting up an appointment right away before answering any relevant questions and then seemed ticked off when I was asked questions. First off I was not born yesterday and I do not fart diamonds so no way in hell am I going to agree to an open ended cost assessment. not happening. This is a digital age figure a way to give an accurate assesment of what needs to be done and give a cost for it. Why the games? I am going to pay you to come out here look around for less than 10 min and you charge me fine and then you can add several hundreds with no actual precise rate sheet WTH. Why is there not a rate sheet and why can't you give an approximate cost if someone knows what they need to have done. Also if you have limitations on your groupon offer you should probably express that on the groupon site and say something like arbitrarily deciding what is considered a checkup. Whatever.
Kyle W.Scott Bogda came right on time and knocked out my main line clog for $99 bucks. Some of the pricing I have seen from Service Professionals borders on excessive but this service I was very pleased with.
Scott was very helpful and presented some other projects I should consider undertaking, which I will. Great guy and great service
Giving them one star is even too much! They were the definition of unprofessional. I was given the time frame of 12-2 and the technician showed up at 4:10. He then immediately tried to sell me on upgrading without diagnosing the problem first. When it was determined that I needed three pounds of freon for our ac, he stated that it would cost me 650.00 for the freon plus 45.50 tax. In addition to that I needed to pay the service call for 95.00. A total of 790.50 for three pounds of freon.
At that point, I just paid for the service call and told him that I felt I was being scammed from the beginning. When a friend recommended me to someone else I was charged 200. for the three pounds of freon that I needed which also included the service call.
Since then I've also called two other ac repair companies just to get a feel for the going rate and learned that the average cost of freon goes for 55.00 a pound not 210.00 a pound as Service Professionals tried to rip me off for.
I regret not having read some of the reviews first!
Despite what other reviews say, these guys did right by me. I received same day service for my central air unit. I received a call 30 minutes ahead of time. Cory was very professional and explained everything very well. He didn't try to force any unnecessary services on me. It ended up being a very simple issue and I was only charged the service call fee. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Service Un-Professionals! Like many here, they tried to overcharge me for changing out my outside condenser and inside furnace. 10k? I had 2 other companies come in at around 6K, with the same equipment and service. These guys are a rip off. I'm glad I didn't go with them.
