Melisa G.We purchased a heat pump furnace and asked to have ducts cleaned. This was 12/2015. We paid in excess of 11,000.00 because we wanted good return for our $$ and wanted to have cleaner air and lower our heating cost. It has taken over 20 service calls in over a year, still has not lowered our cost, the air is more dusty and dirty than ever, we have even had the owner out here who promised me it would be fixed - only to have to call out another technician after the work he did because there was a hole in the brass coil - it runs super loud, and cannot tell you how disappointed I am with the owner who promised to call me back, gave me his personal cell number and never returns my calls. He did give me an additional 2 yrs on my service agreement (how big of you). Had I not paid for the thing in advance - I would be asking for my money back, new furnace or taking him to small claims court.
I'm super impressed with a few technicians - Eric, Jose are awesome.
Update:::
Service Plus came out and replaced my furnace. Chris Cunningham did a complete 180. 3years later and my furnace has saved me a bunch of money. Service Plus paid for another company to clean my vents. Chris Cunningham and I have become great friends and I've even purchased additional furnaces for other properties I manage. Very happy with the service! Terry the receptionist is awesome as well.
No Response! Their website has a personal invitation from the president - Chris Cunningham - to answer questions, etc. I sent an initial email and waited 24 hours for a response. I sent a second email the next day with once again, no response on the third day. I had some questions about my system and wanted to schedule a service call. I was referred to Service Plus from a real estate company; obviously I'm going elsewhere and have recommended the real estate company to do the same.
Sam S.I love service plus and have used them in two houses and my office for at least 6 years and for many different issues. I have been told honestly when I really needed something or when it was just a good idea to make our system last longer or if he thought a system would last another year with a quick fix vs replacing it now. They have done plumbing work as well as all hvac and I wouldn't trust another company. Before them, I was ""sold many times"". You are in a bit of a rock and a hard place when your heat or air isn't working and I appreciate their honestly and help when I am stuck.
Would not recommend this company. Stay away. Had a leak in a boiler which they came out and estimated $440 to repair and replace the expansion tank. The technician also inspected the rest of the system and did not notice anything wrong with it. Upon fixing the leak and replacing the expansion tank, the technician said I needed to replace the igniter. He quoted another $447 to complete this task. I looked up the part separately, and I could buy it independently for $150, and the technician indicated he could install it for another $150 if I bought it myself. This means that they mark up the product approximately 200%!! Considering it was the middle of winter with below freezing temps, I bit the bullet and had the technician replace the starter. Ten days after the repairs were made the boiler system stopped working again. The same technician came to inspect, and indicated that the exhaust damper needed to be replaced. Granted this is after he did a full inspection of the system 10 days earlier. The estimate for replacing this part was approximately $650 for a part that I could buy on my own for $82.65!!! I have reached out to another company who will install the part for $100 bringing my total down to $182.65 compared to the $650 quoted by Service Plus.
Krista W.This company was ok. I give them three stars because we didn't have to pay anything. We had water backing up into our basement due to a main line clog. The technician came out and did a much better job than the first company we hired the day before (Plumbing Paramedics). But because they couldn't get the main line cleared, they sent the camera guy the next morning and since there was water in the line the camara wouldn't work... luckily they had an unclog your line or it's free guarantee so I didn't have to pay anything. He said he could only get out 40 feet and suggested we spend $3,500 to dig a hole into the ground to see what the problem was.
Luckily I then remembered and I reached out to Plecker Plumbing, a company I love, and he referred me to Lew's Plumbing of Noblesville. Lews came out in about 2 to 3 hours and waterjeted my main line and fixed my problem in 1.5 hrs and offered some great advice for $400. I wish I would have called Lews first.
I believe the lesson in the main line drain issue, is that if it's ""we will unclear your line or it's free"" then they're probably going to try to upsell you and do a lot more work so that they can actually make money.
Amanda B.*update- this company is withholding a credit that was promised to me due to the fraudulent and poor quality of work described below, and attempting to silence my original review by trying to force me to sign a non-disclosure form and remove it. Know who you are working with, as the facts below are accurate and undisputed by Service Plus.
Kim K.Probably the Best customer service I've ever experienced with a company providing services for our home! All of the admin staff I spoke with over the phone, specifically Terry, were friendly and really on top of their game! And our technician, Michael, was incredibly knowledgeable and not pushy when it came to recommendations whatsoever. He spent extra time discussing with me how an HVAC system works, different features available that benefit our family's needs specifically, and showed me prices on everything I asked about. He even offered to come back and sit down with my husband and I, should we want to discuss anything further. Everything from the text prior to our appointment showing a photo of the technician that would be coming to our house, to the hand-written thank you card we received from Terry afterwards, proved that they care about doing business the best way possible!
MaoMao L.I tried this company a while ago and found their estimate was higher than other companies.
I gave them another opportunity today and requested an emergency fix on leaking pipe and was told someone would call me shortly with appointment time, but nobody called me back after several hours. When I called them back, I was told nobody works in office today.
They should not have advertised themselves as 24/7 if nobody can even schedule appointment on Sunday especially after they promised customer they would do it.
The representative was not friendly either when she knew what happened.
I will not try this company again.
We use their services for annual heating & cooling inspections, and this time we needed a new furnace & air handler. They got the work done the very next day, they were clear with pricing, and they got the job finished.
There are a couple concerns. They didn't get the job finished in 1 day, perhaps because they didn't estimate the job correctly (needed to widen our attic entry). They also didn't fill up the refrigerant in the new unit at first, so overnight the first night it didn't blow very cold. Also, the unit they installed is loud and at the bottom of the efficiency curve. I didn't ask about other more efficient or quieter models, I should have... but would have loved to have discussed options.
Overall, the experience was OK.
Service Plus checks our heating and AC unit twice a year, we are on the maintenance plan. March 20 of this year, tech performs a maintenance check and finds nothing wrong with the unit, no holes, no leaks and we are good on coolant. He says we are good to go for the spring and summer. At that time, he gives us a $50 off coupon for any future repairs. May 13, we hear a dripping noise coming from inside an interior wall. AC unit has been dripping water and there is now 2 inches of water at the bottom of the unit inside our home!! Tech comes out, looks at exterior AC unit and does not look at inside unit where the leak is. Tells us we are 2lb low on coolant and there may be a hole in a coil. Also says we haven't had a service call within the last 2 years and they don't service Bryant and we may need a whole new system because it is over 8 years old!! We bought our system 8 years ago from and had it installed by Service Plus!! I have a signed record of every maintenance call stuck to one of the sides of the interior unit! Charges us $75 for not looking at the leak!!
Exact same thing happened last year. The spring maintenance check was clean, tech hands us a $50 off coupon for future repair work and about 6 weeks later we find 2.5 inches of water at the bottom of unit At that time the tech came back and spent maybe 30 secs inside the interior unit and said it was an easy fix. This time the tech tells us it's going to cost over $250 to fix a leak that he did not even look at. I'm waiting for a call back from one of the supervisors. AC unit still leaking water inside our house.
