Showed up on time. Did great work. Pleasant, sense of humor, everything works fine now. Will use again.
Came out to provide service as AHS assigned for garbage disposal and possible pipe leaks. The plumber refused to put on shoes cover and walked on the carpet. They threw a fit and tons of excuses on the phone call when seeing 1 star review from AHS that we left. Sort of threatening me that they will put in unfortunate reason of the service so AHS can deny coverage. Terrible customer service and ethics
After looking at the previous reviews, I was nervous when my home warranty assigned Service One to my job. However, Dan was great - called in less than an hour after I entered my claim, had someone at my house in about 3 hours. They submitted everything, and Dan sent Rob out next day to replace my water heater. It was quick, and they were both professional.
Polly B.It took weeks to get my water heater replaced and he told me that I owed $1000 on top of what the warranty paid, but when I called the warranty they said it was covered in full and I owed nothing. Even after the water heater was installed, I had to have him back because the pipe was leaking. Even the smallest issue took two visits to solve, probably because it can be charged to the home warranty twice. Once I asked if he could complete the repair at that visit if I paid cash for the part and he magically found one in his truck. I didn't renew the home warranty since this was who they chose to send out.
Greta Z.One star is way too many for this company. If I could give them zero or negative stars, I would. How long should a person be without hot water? A few hours? Maybe a few days at most? When I got home from work on 03/23/23, I noticed my water heater was leaking A LOT so I submitted a service request with HSA Home Warranty that evening. They assigned my case to Service One Plumbing. I've now been without hot water for over a week and a half. I ended up having to fire Service One because Dan was very unprofessional and uncommunicative. Is it really too much to ask to keep me in the loop on what's going on with MY water heater? If his guy isn't coming, say so. Don't tell me it's a possible ""maybe"", knowing full well he isn't coming. My life has basically been on hold due to Service One's lack of professionalism. Apparently, Dan or his guy also lied to HSA Home Warranty, telling them that they came out to my house to inspect the problem on 03/24/23. NO, THEY DID NOT! Dan told me to send pictures so he didn't have to come to my house. That's very unprofessional! He didn't tell me to drain the tank so I ended up with a 40 gallon indoor pool in my garage. Several of my personal items in the garage were ruined due to water damage. My advice... run as fast as you can and as far away as you can from Service One Plumbing. They only care about doing what's best for them, not the customer. They should be called Service None.
Anthony P.Contacted the Home warranty company to have (3) shut-off valves replaced. They sent Service One Plumbing. Plumber came, recommended the valve change. Two weeks went by, nothing...texted and called Service One Plumbing to arrange an appointment. Appointment made and confirmed. On the day of the appointment, Service One was a ""no call-no show."" Called the Home Warranty Company to advise them of the situation. They had in their records the problem was fixed. I informed them that it was not and that I had text messages from Service One confirming appointments and text on the day of service asking where they were. Finally, They sent a plumber out. He called and said he would arrive around 5:15pm. He showed up at 6:30pm. He began his work by shutting off the water at the street. He did not shut it off all the way. He cut the pipe and water began collecting in the basement. We had to put buckets to catch the water. This plumber had to call a friend to bring the replacement shut off valves because he did not have them??? As of the writing of this review it is 9:06pm on the day of repair and he has NOT finished replacing a single valve!!! If I could give Service One a ZERO, I would! I even made a written complaint to BBB. DO NOT USE Service one Plumbing EVER!!!!!!!
We had a small puddle of water on the floor where our gas hot water heater and furnace was side by side. We called our home warranty insurance and they sent out Service One Plumbing. He was only here for less then 15 minutes, flashed his light and took a picture of the model # and said well looks like the water and gas lines may have to be reconfigured to fit the 50 gallon tank (I only had a 40 gallon, if he had replaced it with a bigger unit it might not have been covered), an over flow tank installed and you have to move the washer dryer out of the room before he was able to do the job. All of that may not covered on the home warranty to get your hot water heater up to 2022 codes. I asked how much and he quoted $900.00 to $1200.00. I am on older woman who can't move the dryer much less a washer. My woman's instincts told me that was not right. I then went and got on my hands and knees with a flashlight and inspected it completely. Turns out the hot water tank was just fine. No leaks at all. It was the furnace next to it that was the culprit. I would not recommend using Service One Plumbing ever, not even for a runny nose much less a plumbing problem.
I opened a service request with my home warranty company for a leaking shower pipe/drain that was leaking into my finished basement and the claim was assigned to Service One Plumbing. I received a call from Dan scheduling to come out on 9/6 between 1:00-5:00 p.m. I was surprised he'd schedule on Labor Day but confirmed verbally that was the date and time with him. He did not show up for my appointment and made no attempt to call me or message me that he would not be here. I called him the next day on 9/7 and his voicemail said to send him a text message. I sent him a text asking what happened with the appointment and letting him know I'd like to reschedule. 10 days later I have heard nothing from him and I have had my warranty company reassign the claim to a reputable plumber. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing work done as the don't show for appointments and then avoid contact with customers when they mess up.
Had an appointment today with Dan? Called 3 times sent 3 messages no call no show. Unless you have an emergency you could have let me
Know
The home warranty company pointed me towards Serivce One for 2 of the properties I own when the hot water heater went out. The first time was a disaster of a time and the second was just as bad. One of the rudest, least helpful, and unprofessional guys ever.
He showed up late, he made excuses, couldnt give me a price, and didnt know what anything costs.
I would never use them and recommend that no one ever deals with the owner Dan
