Do Not purchase any warranty agreement with this company, because if the repair is costly they will Not repair or replace!! They will send contractors to your property, and they will dishonestly, intentionally misdiagnose the problem, in order to save SLWA money!! SLWA Fraudulently makes Millions of dollars annually off consumers!!

I paid SLWA 13 Years of premiums for exterior sewer and water line repair and replacement. Currently, my main basement drain backs up!! I contacted several reputable companies to run cameras, and they diagnosed that I need exterior sewer line replaced. Also, I did research and diagnosed, myself. My sewer line needs replaced (see attached pictures)!
SLWA REFUSES TO PAY, ALTHOUGH I PAID $2500 IN PREMIUMS FOR 2 PROPERTIES!!! SLWA sent 2 of their lying contractors who gave intentional misdiagnosis. I requested a Refund of my Premiums, SWLA refused!!

I live in an area with hard water. My disintegrating water line is throwing minerals and pebbles into my 1950s era house and damaging my appliances. The problem caused my bathroom shower and irrigation system to stop working. Service Line Warranties of America won't replace the water line -after almost 10 years of me paying them - until the line completely stops. This is a worthless expense. Wish I'd just saved for a line replacement instead of paying Service Line Warranties of America. It would have been cheaper. Big thumbs down.

This is a terrible company. Horrible. They used to be good, but since they were purchased by HomeServe they will do everything possible to delay and deny your claims. I hate them. Don't waste your money. You have been warned.

Concerning sewer line warranty coverage: First call for blockage = 4 day wait until someone would come out. Second call for blockage one year later = 2 day wait & technician did not clear blockage. Called private pay company to clear blockage.
All 3 said the pipes are compromised & have to be changed. The two from SLWA said that SLWA will not change them until the ground collapses. It can not collapse since it is under 4"" concrete driveway.

Final insult- They canceled my policy. I was told because I made two claims.
Summary: The insurance is to clear and repair broken line. Insurance refuses to repair broken line. Insurance makes one wait days for service (with no use of the sewer). Insurance cancels client if one dares use the service.

I received a mailer from SLWA Insurance Services claiming "" Your property at ----- Antioch, CA is not covered with Exterior Water Service Line Coverage or ......"". This is 100% false as out City provides optional coverage for a monthly fee. When the valve to the main water shutoff on the outside of my house went bad the City crew came and fixed it at no charge.
This is letter sent by SLWA is False Advertising and as sent through the US mail is mail fraud as well. I have tried calling the phone number on their mailer and cannot get a live person to speak with about the false statement in their letter.

First and last time I'm using this company. I've been paying these folks for years. I had an outside water line leak. They dispatched a plumber the next day. That plumber stated that someone else had to find the leak. 5 days later, the leak detection company came to my home and found the leak. 2 days later, the original plumber sent some kid out who dug around and told his company that the plumbing was installed wrong. Service line warranties stated that this was not covered. I find it odd that the plumbing was installed wrong since I had the house built and the city of Tucson inspectors would not have let that happen. After the kid dug around, he turned my water pressure down to a drip and left for another job. After that, I called a real plumbing service who came out the next morning and had the leak fixed in about 2 hours. This plumber stated that the copper pipe failed due to the hard water, and that the line was indeed installed correctly. In short, I paid hundreds of dollars in payment to Service Line Warranties, had to wait a week for repairs, and had to spend $1400 that should have been covered.

Think twice
Absolutely ridiculous how SLWA handles repairs. My aunt and uncle have had a sewage back up since Friday, June 2, 2023. It is now Wednesday night, June 7, 2023 and SLWA have sent two different people to fix the issue, but both ""experts"" have said they do not have the right equipment. My aunt and uncle ( which are in their mid 70s) have not been able to use any water or flush a toilet in over five days and the issue still has not been fixed. Think twice before you waste your money on this company.

Worst company ever! For over two weeks they sent over plumbers who would need to get something done. Meanwhile, sewer gasses were filling my house making my 83-year-old mother and myself sick! It still needs to be fixed and we are still waiting.

It was very interesting to find my name on this Yelp for SLWA. I decided to go with the water line and the sewer line policy however I wanted to make sure this wasn't a scam before I sent it off to them, so I called the phone number asking the person for more information. She said she wanted to enroll me on the phone because it would be easier and quicker. I said no, that I just wanted more information. She wanted my name so I gave it to her and then she spent quite a bit of time telling me what a wonderful company it was why the address on the envelope and the address on the form were different etc. You can imagine my surprise when I looked on Yelp and guess whose name was signed up for this service. I would guess that this is ""almost"" if not a total scam! I will not be a part of this!

I am a first time user and possibly a last time user... We had a service call for a leaky toilet valve, not working at all.!! The plumber that was sent said he could not repair it since this valve is considered a 'faucet'' and not covered..by our warranty................... A valve is NOT a faucet but a necessary piece needed for a toilet to function !! I am a senior lady. i have replaced one in my day............. He did offer to replace this for a fee of $157.00............................or if we purchased the valve he would replace it for $99.00. It was agreed it might take 5 minutes to replace !! i am in search of a neighbor to help us out. So much for signing up on a warranty.

I did call service line warranty and got no where...........I requested a supervisor call me back. Doubt that will happen.. soooooooo thats my story and I am sticking to it !!!!
