Recommended Customer Reviews

Courteous, professional, knowledgeable, attentive to customer with a manner that projects to customer that the problem will be fixed and fixed correctly! Jacob and Emery are great reps for Levy& Sons plumbing. .

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I had a guy come out and tell me I had a leak from my HVAC, a leak that would cost around $500 to repair, as I was told by him. He scheduled an appointment for someone else to come out and fix. No one showed up for the appointment. Mind you I took off from work, and blocked off my schedule for this appointment. I called to inquire about the missed appointment. They said they were sending another guy out. He came later than the scheduled time, but showed up... (yayyyy! ). He spent about 2 min in my attic and came out and told me the coils needed to be replaced, my system was old, and that I may as well replace the whole thing which would cost around $5000. I was like OKKK that's not what the other guy told me and I went in the attic and pointed out what the other guy showed me. This guy was like "oh okkkk, that makes more sense" and stated well yea that'll cost around 300-500 bucks and I'll personally call you to make the appointment (here we go again). No phone call received! I called Levy and Sons once again this morning and a nonchalant guy answered the phone, I gave him all of my info and told him what went down, and he said ok let me read the notes. He said that his notes read that I was told my coils needed to be replaced and that I turned down the work being offered. LIKE FREAKING WOW!!! These people lack dignity and morals. I've been jerked over quite a bit since becoming a homeowner, but this has been the worst!

This company has dropped the ball on every occasion we've done business with them. We've had instances when we've called 5 days in a row to schedule the same appointment for a leak from our ceiling, we were assured each time someone was coming out, only to find out nothing had been scheduled each of the 5 times we called. We have been overcharged. They have left a mess from their cleaning products that has ruined our floor. Highly recommend you use s

My schedule doesn't allow me to sit and wait for a 4 hour service call window. Levy and Son was very sensitive to that and called me 30 minutes before to tell me the tech was on his way. Jared was very professional and knowledgeable. My thermostat wasn't working so he had to order the part. Thanks to his manager, Alex, the process was quick and smooth. I had a new thermostat in just a few days. I would definitely recommend. #HVAC, # HeatingAndCooling, #AC, #Thermostat

Compressor wnt out on a/c called them Said we need a new aircondioner quoted me 15,000 dollars thought this was high Shopped around found a company to do it for 6700 dollars They wanted to charge 15,000 . 8300 over other bid Ridiculous. Who would use these with this kind of pricing?

Yesterday Levy & Son replaced a new coil which cost me $4,977. The technicians did a very good job of installing it. However, I had an extended warranty which I thought would cover most of the expenses. Unfortunately, it did not as I was charged $3,000 for labor among other things. Even though it took them almost 4 hours, I feel that this fee was extremely high. I emailed the manager to break down the expenses but have yet to hear from him. So, if you are planning on buying an extended warranty, be sure to asked what it covers and does not cover. I wish they had explained this to me before I purchased the extended warranty as apparently is did not cover much! Not sure I'll continue doing business with Levy & Son.

Our kitchen sink was clogged. We had already cleaned out the pipes under the sink so we knew it was a bigger obstruction that would need an auger. I called Levy and was inundated with pleas to buy their contracts over and over. Then even with the free service call and a discount on the call, it cost $225 for the guy to auger out the pipe. He was there about 30 minutes at most. He was really nice and professional. But the charge was ridiculous. I will not call them again.

Our water heater pilot light had gone out. I tried to start it with the built-in piezo igniter. There was no spark. I asked the repairmen if we could simply replace the igniter. He said it was all part of the burner, a combined unit. He could replace it but it wouldn't last (He didn't explain why and it didn't make sense to me). He quoted a new 40 gallon heater for $2500, a 50 gallon heater for $2700. I went online and found the replacement igniter for $4.00 from Protech with no shipping fee. Igniter came in two days. Never again will I call on Levy. Always do your research, especially if you feel you are not being told the truth.

Over the last year I have gone from a satisfied Levy & Son/Service Experts customer to one who might not recommend the company if its services were free. In late 2020, we contacted 3 companies about replacing our 2 a/c units and furnaces. We had used Levy for years for plumbing and were very satisfied. Although the Levy bid was not the cheapest, we hired Levy based upon our past experience. In early January, Levy delivered - on time, at the agreed price (over $20,000) and good service. We were sufficiently pleased that we bought a service plan. Our summer service was fine. However, when Levy performed the winter service, the technician recommended surge protectors and fresh air UV lights for each of the still less than a year old units at a cost of more than $1,000 each (and lists them as "required" service). Nothing had changed since the original bid and installation. Separate from the extreme markup, why didn't Levy recommend those "necessary" products up front when it would have required much less time for the install?
Pretty amazing how the tone of the Yelp reviews have changed over the last year or so.

They eventually got my shower fixed and refunded the accidental extra fee that was charged when rescheduling.
