We had them out the first time, and showed them one of our vents was not blowing. The service tech waited for a supervisor to come over. The vent is on the first floor, and the ducts are apparently in between floors. The supervisor said the duct may be disconnected from the vent. When I asked them if they could check, his comment was "we are not carpenters, you'll have to remove sheet rock". That was literally 100% of his feedback. He had no interest in exploring the problem, sending anyone out that knows duct work, or coming up with any hint of a solution or recommendation. I bought an inexpensive camera and checked it myself, the vent is connected, but there is clearly an issue with the duct/diverter somewhere. Again, they had no interest in an actual solution. We called them out last week to check the refrigerant, and they said everything was fine. After a warm weekend, we called another company out, and we are leaking refrigerant and it is indeed low. Levy and Son loves to get a service charge and sell their maintenance programs, however they clearly have no desire to work on AC Units. I do not recommend and will not ever use them again.

I have been using Levy and Sons for over 5 years and the service has always been great. I have purchased and installed 2 new HVAC systems and recently had a routine maintenance service. Mr. Ayala was professional and did an exceptional job thoroughly inspecting and cleaning the AC system. As a result, the improved cooling effect is quite discernible. The improved efficiency of the new systems have been of significant value in increasing comfort, while reducing my energy costs these last few years. I highly recommend this company.

Well, here we go again.

Levy & Son told my 80yo mother that her HVAC unit, which they conn(vinc)ed her into buying a service contract on her HVAC system, that she has mold & rust and needs her unit, which is not that old (and serviced regularly per the contract), to the quote of $20k (rounded).

So, how does a company that is supposed to prevent such problems, let this happen¿

Negligence.

Imagine taking your car in for service, paying for the service, but not getting it.

That's dereliction of duty.

So, BEWARE.

This is not my first public complaint but THIS warrants a BBB filing.

As for the PLUMBING side of the business, they price gouged her for toilet tank systems, which are plastic and built to fail, and their labor costs are exorbitant.

It's NOT rocket science folks.

If you have an aging parent, especially a Mother, who doesn't know about repair, replacement or pricing, please keep a close eye on them. My mother feels like she's been taken advantage of, intentionally.

I will start by saying Levy and Son has done some good quality (if overpriced) plumbing work for me in the past. However, sadly the toxic management and underpaying workers has created a company that's not worth doing business with, as you have the risk of getting someone trying to scam you or who is just horribly incompetent. I recently wanted to hire them to fix a condensate drain issue with my AC unit, and the technician talked down to me and tried to gaslight me into thinking my brand-new AC had cracked evaporator coils. He completely ignored my drain issue, leading to floor damage due to wasted time as I had to get someone else out to fix it. Any good experience with this company these days is due to a saintly employee who has yet to fall victim to the toxic company culture.

They will never stop spam calling you if you give them your number; doesn't matter if you're on the DNC list, doesn't matter if you tell them never to call you again, or if you email them, or if they respond to your review and ask you to email them again and you do. They will never stop calling. Perhaps grounds for a lawsuit?

I would like to know why I was charged $650 for a thermostat that I see on Amazon for less than $200?
I will be canceling my "membership".
Since my 15% discount is bullshit.

Joseph, the regional manager, called to lie, saying we only charge a flat rate and we have so many stores.....BLAH BLAH BLAH.
However, the tech told me that I could get a better thermostat for $1250. So, do I believe the new lie or the old lie?

Do yourself a favor and call someone else.
I got 2 quotes for a replacement after this fiasco.... $304

Nasty company , awful service, then they chasing you over the phone over and over and over,
he called today, and I said no, this is not mr this and this, he hang up the phone on my face, stay away from places like that, no wonder they have a 0 stars .

You do not hang the phone on people faces.

It's rude. And wrong.

Even though I am on a maintenance plan where I am not charged a trip fee, he technician. charged me a fee for "diagnosing the problem" which was close to the cost of a trip fee. The technician was supposed to come Monday but never showed. When called, the company said "first thing Tuesday" which in actuality was 11:00 am Tuesday. He have me an outrageous quote on getting the replacement kitchen faucet and installing it ($700 for part and $400
for installing it) for a faucet that was $270 on Amazon. The technicians were not friendly and not helpful. I was with them for years and even gave them
referrals. I am not sure what happened, but I am done with this company.

Terrible customer service. Sloppy and messy. Say they will come the next day and they never show or call to give you an update on when they will be out. Very unprofessional
