I've hired them a few times over the last few years both at home, my rental property and commercial warehouse. They've always done a good job, albeit their pricing seems high (especially for commercial!!). But they are professional, on time and have done good work 9/10 times (they didn't fix a leak one time under our sink but they came out & refixed it when we discovered there was still an issue).

A elderly relative was taken advantage of by Levy & Sons. She was diagnosed with severe dementia years ago. Despite this, Levy and Sons kept coming to her house for unsolicited repairs on an almost weekly basis. They repaired her HVAC twice in one month and then tried to sell her an entirely new unit one week after the repairs (despite the fact her home was for sale relative had to cancel their install of unnecessary and expensive system). When the little old lady's relatives called Levy and Son's, the billing rep said they had no knowledge of these charges. Levy rep claimed "they had a new billing system and lost all charges prior to Feb 2018" (hard to believe) but once Levy was shown all the checks they had cashed from elderly woman Levy rep was suddenly were able to find record of them. This was an honest woman that taught 8th grade for 50 years and this company stole from her with countless frivolous charges. Relatives eventually contacted police to stop Levy from taking her money.

I can't recommend Levy and Son. After giving them a lot of business over the last few years, I think they have had a change of ownership and their service has declined. Recently, I had an a with a hot water heater. Levy came out, found we needed parts, called the part manufacturer to get a list of parts needed. Of course, they charged me for that visit, When the parts came in, Levy came back out, discovered they hadn't ordered all the needed parts and ordered parts again them ... and charged me for that visit. Finally once all parts came in, they finally completed the project. I feel like they over charged me at least $175. When I called the Levy office to discuss it, I was referred to one of the managers, left a message of his voice mail and never got a return call.

I never expected to find a plumber to come to my house Sunday evening of Thanksgiving break, however I called hoping to at least get an appointment for days to come. I explained to their dispatcher that my water heaters were not turning on after our water had been turned off for a couple of days. She told me the crew was out on a job and that I would be next. She informed me that the price of the first half hour would be $189 and every hour thereafter would be $165 for an Emergency Call which I accepted. I hung up and half an hour later she called back to let me know they were on their way. Patrick was at my door in less than an hour. He was very polite and friendly and I felt that he enjoyed his job. I appreciated that he did not set his tools anywhere except the floor, even though our garage was so tight with the car parked in front of the heaters. It took him less than 10 minutes to reignite the heaters and then he took an extra 5 minutes to explain to me what I had been doing wrong. He charged me the minimum for the visit and offered to apply a $30 coupon. I had seen the coupon on the website but assumed it wouldn't apply for an emergency and hadn't even mentioned it. Before he left, I mentioned that in trying to fix a leak (which is why our water had been turned off) my father had dropped a tool in the drain and couldn't retrieve it. So Patrick volunteered to take a look, and-off the clock-opened up the drain and pulled it out for him. He even showed him how to do it! This is an honest hardworking company that earns their money- I know he didn't have to finish 30 min of work because he was already paid for the assigned job. He didn't leave until he had taken care of us. They are professional and kind. In future, this is the company I will call for projects and emergencies. Thank you, Patrick!
Today I had Levy and Sons over to fix a new problem which was a blocked toilet. I called yesterday at noon, was given an appointment for this morning and plumber ended up arriving 2 hours sooner. As our previous experience, he was also professional and courteous and friendly (which I wouldn't have blamed him even if he wasn't after being presented with the job !) Within 30 minutes of arriving, he had brought all his tools, solved clogging, had tested toilet as well as toilets on first floor (just in case blockage had traveled). Considering charging for his visit, troubleshooting and use of tools, the charge was very reasonable and not much higher than buying DIY equipment myself- Not to mention that I would not even know how to use them. Although the job was a messy one to say the least, there was no evidence of any of it when he left. He even took the wipes he used for cleaning his tools and wiping splashes afterwards. He noticed an unrelated problem regarding tank gaskets and even noted the type and size in case we decided to make a future appointment to replace them. I would have liked to mention his name but all I know is that the gentleman who did Job #189716 could not have served his customer better.

Couldn't be more disappointed in Levy & Son. After an issue went unresolved for many months, and after numerous attempts to contact my salesperson and Levy management, I never received the courtesy of a follow-up. Too bad the company doesn't value their customers -- especially long-term customers like me of 25 years.

I would like to commend Russell and his assistant, who work for levy and son. They came to my house this week for gas leaks. They quickly located the problem, explained the issues in a way that was understandable to me, and quickly worked towards a solution. It was obvious they were highly qualified and knew their subject matter. I was immediately at ease that they had a handle on my situation. They made my scary gas leak problem a lot less stressful on me. I will recommend levy and son to everyone in my network.

Considering all of the fantastic reviews, I'm very surprised how my call to Levy and Sons turned out. Paula was not helpful at all, my AC has not been working correctly and I wanted someone to come take a look, every service I asked if she did she said no, then quoted me 100 to just come out and check one unit, plus additional 90 per unit. Way higher than estimates from other companies.

How can I give these D Bags a ZERO star.

My AC wasn't working. Not sure how I got Levy and Son but called and they showed up.
He said the service call was normally $99, but there was an on line coupon for $69.
$30 savings. I told him to check out the ac.
Tech guy pulled out some electrical wand and put the "test" on the AC.

The Capt. Kirk transporter light show read out was:
System could fail

He said the AC should be replaced.
He put me on the phone with some sleazeball salesman and this jerk was all over me to get this done immediately!!!!
$8,000+, gotta get it done!!!

I said No, I'll get back to you. Called an AC guy that was highly rated on YELP.
He laughed and howled when I told him about the Capt. Kirk light show read out tool from my Levy friends .....

He couldn't come out for 3 days, so he recommended a group closer to me. Called the recommended guys. They came out and had my AC running in 5 hours....$475.
$475.........That was 8 months ago and it works great!!!!!!!!!!
Only $7500 lower than the #$%^&^%$#$%^& at Levy.

Some old haggy office broad called me 60 days later and told me I owed them $99.
I explained the entire thing to her and I said I wasn't going to pay the $69. She called me again twice. Told her the same thing. I then sent an e-mail to their management explaining my side of the disagreement.
I wasn't going to post anything on YELP, but then.........

Started getting collection letters last month. Collection notices for $99 from my friends at Levy for their "service call", slight of hand up sell and trick people way of doing business.

Bwahahahahahahaha ....they can take their $69 and pound it in their @#$%^&*&^%$#@#$%^

Wouldn't recommend these con artist slime balls to my worst enemy.

We have been customers for over 17 years and have only had good experiences. The one time that we had an issue, it was promptly resolved. We just had a complete HVAC system installed and through the sales process to the installation, we are completely satisfied. Jeff and Jose arrived promptly on the day of installation, worked diligently to remove the old system, prepped for the install and completed their work. Left everything neat and clean. Good job, well done.

I have used them for years and have always been very happy. I called today to schedule an appointment and the lady I spoke to said the company has switched owners and has no record of any past appointments. She was extremely rude, and when I was asking her questions about the service I needed she cut me off and said she had no idea how to answer me. Not at all what I was used to dealing with in the past. Will definitely be going with another company now.
