Paid ten thousand dollars for a brand new unit to be installed in our home during the summer. It took them nine hours to install the thing only for it to work sub-optimally for two days before shutting down completely one morning. After calling them immediately, they sent someone over four hours later and he assured us it was fixed only for the unit to shut down again with the same issue at ten that very night! We called and they told us they wouldn't be able to get someone out that night despite their website claiming """"24 HOUR SERVICE"""" in bold red letters. Horrible service, overcharging for installation, and false-advertising to boot! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

SERVICE EXPERTS, Heating Air Conditioning & Plumbing is the most unprofessional and devastating HVAC company I have ever worked with. Their license number is #CAC1816603. Be aware: If they manage to enter your house, they will leave an unpardonable path of destruction. The following is a retelling of my recent experience with them. On the morning of April 10th, technician #1 showed up. He spent 10 minutes diagnosing my problem and said it was a leak in the AC coil. He collected $1,480 from me for the service. The company then disappeared. Technician #2 appeared on 4/14, removed the copper coil from my AC and replaced it with a lesser aluminum coil. (Later on we'll come to find out that this new coil had a leak in it.) They charged an additional $496.40 for just 4 ounces of R-410A refrigerant, which they put into the leaky system. After 24 hours, the A/C unit was leaking water again, just as it was before. They also failed to install a new filter when changing the coil. The company didn't return again until 4/18. (All the while, my AC is still not working.) All the refrigerant they had put into the system was gone, which is horrible for the atmosphere (2000x worse than carbon dioxide). Without testing anything they assumed there must be a leak in the refrigerant lines going outside--a much more serious problem. They tried to convince me to replace my entire system, and asked me to pay $9,000 minus the $2,000 I had originally paid. They also tried to get me to sign up for their 10 year Maintenance Advantage Plan instead of paying the $9,000, but based on the monthly payments it would have cost me nearly $25,000 over 10 years! They were incredibly pushy, and knew how vulnerable I was, but thankfully I refused their advances. On 4/19, they came back to my house and said it would cost me an additional $700 to find the source of the leak with a nitrogen isolation test. After the test, they admitted that the problem wasn't in the refrigerant lines but with the new coil they had installed themselves a few days prior. Even after determining that their sloppy work was the cause of the problem, they did not return immediately to fix it. They said they'd come back on Friday 4/21. I rearranged my plans so I could be at home that day to await their arrival. I called the company three times throughout the day to get an ETA for when they would come. They kept pushing the time back and after waiting all day, they never showed up. Because they don't work on weekends, the next day they could come was Monday, the 24th. If you can believe it, they did the same thing to me on Monday and never showed up--even after confirming the job would get done that day. My daughter was visiting me from out of town and for two days we had to cancel our plans and wait around at home instead of enjoying Miami together. Finally, on 4/25 they returned and replaced their faulty coil that they had messed up in the first place--15 days after they came over the first time. Even though I had paid $159 for a maintenance membership that would guarantee that they inspect the drain tubes, they left without looking at the indoor unit and left me with a leaky drain tube. I had to put a casserole dish under the tube in order to collect the water and protect my carpet. The container filled with water every two hours. I couldn't sleep through the night and had to hire someone else to fix it the next day. On 4/26, I called a new engineer with 35 years of HVAC experience to review Service Expert's work. He said SE had left the kink valve outside without one of the caps. He also had to clean the drain pipes and extract half a bucket of dirty water out of the tube. Service Experts should apologize and retrain their technicians for their irresponsible behavior, scare tactics, and price gauging. They leak hazardous refrigerant by being sloppy and try to bully customers into buying over-priced systems they don't need, and don't show up for work. They even tried to tell me that there's no environmental problem for refrigerant to leak out. The emotional and financial toll was enormous. My house was so hot and humid for two weeks that my artwork and furniture was damaged. Two wooden tables I had just put a fresh coat of paint on were stained by the objects on top like a temporary tattoo where water and humidity leave a mark. Due to Service Experts I was without AC for over two weeks in Miami! Do not make the same mistake and steer clear of this gang.

I called Service Experts to make an appointment to get my air ducts cleaned. They said they could come out, same day, for an estimate. I said I'd be home all day. They said they will """"send someone out now."""" 4 hours later, I called to get an ETA. """"We don't give appointment times."""" OK, but it was now 4:30pm and I wanted to know if he would be here before 6pm? """"The tech is finishing up with a customer. You are his next call. He will be there soon."""" So, 7:30pm, 3 more hours, I called again. """"You are next..."""" They said again. I explained I was already told that 3 hours prior... I was put on hold. I hung up after 5 min of waiting and, not to mention, waiting all day. They had my name, address and phone. They never called, never showed. Terrible customer service. Next day, I called them and was spoken to very condescending by Karen. I tried three times to tell her what happened. Each time she interrupted with """"I don't know why you expected us yesterday. Your appointment is for today between 1-3pm."""" I pressed her for information about appoximate prices their services offered. Karen said they charge $95 for each vent/opening!?! I have 21, $1995!! Industry standard says $35. = $735 I pressed further. They do NOT touch the airconditioner/airhandler in any way for that price. $95 to vacuum several feet into the tube from the vent?? I explained that other companies open and clean the airhandler during their service . Karen explained they do not clean airhandler coils during their duct cleaning. Coil cleaning is an extra $1000... EACH!?! Industry standard says $400. I have 2. +$2000 She also said the tech will examine my home for anything else needed (holes/kinks) and that fixing the issues would be extra $$. Now, I have had two other companies come to my home and give me a """"duct cleaning service"""" estimate. Both INCLUDED cleaning the coils and fixing minor repairs. Both were UNDER $2000, TOTAL. Service Experts price for similar services... $3995+ DOUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's your money....

They scheduled me for an appointment on a Saturday even gave me a confirmation number, nobody showed up, phone was disconnected and when I called on Monday to complaint the lady actually hung up on me. This company is not worth your time or the aggravation call someone else, this business isn't serious.

I had to replace my thermostat and Jorge Abreut (tech# 485) did an amazing job. Jorge also found and fixed a major issue with my other unit and I now have both my units up and running.

Beware. I have been trying to report fraud from the Miami office since before thanksgiving and no manager has called me back. A tech came to my house and diagnosed a 6 year old AC with a broken compressor brought a sales guy out in 10 mins and then tried to sell me a new outside unit and handler for $6500 for a 2 ton unit!  I didn't believe that was the problem and called a 2nd AC repair tech and he came out and diagnosed an exposed low voltage line.  $300 later I'm up and running no problem.  In addition the visit was only supposed to be $99 and the tech got in my wife's face and pressured her to pay $175 which included a BS diagnosis fee. Stay away. Bad business.

Company was hired to clean out my ac ducts. They went but they did not clean my ac ducts. They are still black. I called the company 4 days ago about a refund and they said a manager will call me back. No one has called me still. I called again today and they said the same thing, a manager will call me back. No call yet. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

On 4/12/2021 my parents received service from Service Experts. They were charged $302.00 to replace a capacitor, labor, and trip fee of 29.00 dollars. I was contacting various companies, and including the manufacturer, and was told the capacitor was $15.00 only, and in total for part, and labor it would be $100.00 to $150.00 dollars. So we were definitely ripped off. We also take responsibility because we didn't do our research beforehand. But the AC stopped cooling late evening, and my parents couldn't be without AC because of their health issues either. For that I thank them, but the pricing is ridiculous. I also reached out to them several times only to find out they couldn't do anything. So as a first time customer, and last I want to say Goodbye.
