My ac had stopped blowing cool air. I could hear inside unit blowing fan and the out side compressor wasn't working. I turned off the unit. To not make worse they came out 12 hours later and really before even looking at it told me compressor was probably blown and need a new one the sales guy called and started pushing I need new one and the cost or their lease plan.. I told them I would wait another day. But I turned back on the unit some and it started working and blowing cool air again. Had another Ac guy look at it. Tell me the coils were clean and there was nothing wrong with compressor. He checked the whole unit spent 30 minutes. Were these guys spent less then 5 and were like you need a new one... They are only worried about selling and making cash. They do not care. They saw a single female worried and. Concerned about the cost. Very uncaring. THEY HAVE NO HONEST WORK ETHICS.. I am adding to this as they responded with a email I should reach them. I have sent that email 5 times each time comes back failed to send. They really don't back their word or work

SERVICE EXPERTS, Heating Air Conditioning & Plumbing is the most unprofessional and devastating HVAC company I have ever worked with. Their license number is #CAC1816603. Be aware: If they manage to enter your house, they will leave an unpardonable path of destruction. The following is a retelling of my recent experience with them. On the morning of April 10th, technician #1 showed up. He spent 10 minutes diagnosing my problem and said it was a leak in the AC coil. He collected $1,480 from me for the service. The company then disappeared. Technician #2 appeared on 4/14, removed the copper coil from my AC and replaced it with a lesser aluminum coil. (Later on we'll come to find out that this new coil had a leak in it.) They charged an additional $496.40 for just 4 ounces of R-410A refrigerant, which they put into the leaky system. After 24 hours, the A/C unit was leaking water again, just as it was before. They also failed to install a new filter when changing the coil. The company didn't return again until 4/18. (All the while, my AC is still not working.) All the refrigerant they had put into the system was gone, which is horrible for the atmosphere (2000x worse than carbon dioxide). Without testing anything they assumed there must be a leak in the refrigerant lines going outside--a much more serious problem. They tried to convince me to replace my entire system, and asked me to pay $9,000 minus the $2,000 I had originally paid. They also tried to get me to sign up for their 10 year Maintenance Advantage Plan instead of paying the $9,000, but based on the monthly payments it would have cost me nearly $25,000 over 10 years! They were incredibly pushy, and knew how vulnerable I was, but thankfully I refused their advances. On 4/19, they came back to my house and said it would cost me an additional $700 to find the source of the leak with a nitrogen isolation test. After the test, they admitted that the problem wasn't in the refrigerant lines but with the new coil they had installed themselves a few days prior. Even after determining that their sloppy work was the cause of the problem, they did not return immediately to fix it. They said they'd come back on Friday 4/21. I rearranged my plans so I could be at home that day to await their arrival. I called the company three times throughout the day to get an ETA for when they would come. They kept pushing the time back and after waiting all day, they never showed up. Because they don't work on weekends, the next day they could come was Monday, the 24th. If you can believe it, they did the same thing to me on Monday and never showed up--even after confirming the job would get done that day. My daughter was visiting me from out of town and for two days we had to cancel our plans and wait around at home instead of enjoying Miami together. Finally, on 4/25 they returned and replaced their faulty coil that they had messed up in the first place--15 days after they came over the first time. Even though I had paid $159 for a maintenance membership that would guarantee that they inspect the drain tubes, they left without looking at the indoor unit and left me with a leaky drain tube. I had to put a casserole dish under the tube in order to collect the water and protect my carpet. The container filled with water every two hours. I couldn't sleep through the night and had to hire someone else to fix it the next day. On 4/26, I called a new engineer with 35 years of HVAC experience to review Service Expert's work. He said SE had left the kink valve outside without one of the caps. He also had to clean the drain pipes and extract half a bucket of dirty water out of the tube. Service Experts should apologize and retrain their technicians for their irresponsible behavior, scare tactics, and price gauging. They leak hazardous refrigerant by being sloppy and try to bully customers into buying over-priced systems they don't need, and don't show up for work. They even tried to tell me that there's no environmental problem for refrigerant to leak out. The emotional and financial toll was enormous. My house was so hot and humid for two weeks that my artwork and furniture was damaged. Two wooden tables I had just put a fresh coat of paint on were stained by the objects on top like a temporary tattoo where water and humidity leave a mark. Due to Service Experts I was without AC for over two weeks in Miami! Do not make the same mistake and steer clear of this gang.

We had a terrible experience with this company. Six months ago our A/C went down, they were able to fix and also sold us on the bi-annual maintenance package. Two days before they were suppose to service our A/C as part of the bi-annual maintenance, our A/C stopped cooling again. The guy comes out and says he can't do anything because it's raining...ok, fine. They sent another guy out the next day and he hadn't even been here 5 minutes, nor had he even looked at the A/C unit outside and he was already telling me (who was home by myself with our baby) that the coil looks bad and we probably need a new A/C unit. After asking how much a coil is, he says $1,400 but he wouldn't put that much into an """"old"""" unit which was purchased in 2012. He then looks at the A/C unit outside, replaces the capacitor and proceeds to tell me the gas line has zero gas in it. I asked if he could find the leak and he tells me it's $200 a lb and we need 6 pounds ($1,200) just to fill the line to find the leak! Thankfully my father works on A/C units in another state so after calling him, I asked this guy to leave my house. He was totally tryIng to scam me and sell me a new A/C unit that should work for many more years! Stay clear of this company.

Had a leak from my fire sprinkler. Discovered it was condensation, possibly from an AC leaAsked technician to repair. Literally walks around my condo for 3 seconds, looks for main heater, removes filter, and says """"found the problem"""" Charges me 80+ dollars for a first time visit, then takes off......fire sprinkler is still leaking. Update: new technician comes in and tells me my entire unit is old and needs to be replaced. No effort to look if the AC ducts are leaking. My unit was bought in 2008 and is working fine.

On 4/12/2021 my parents received service from Service Experts. They were charged $302.00 to replace a capacitor, labor, and trip fee of 29.00 dollars. I was contacting various companies, and including the manufacturer, and was told the capacitor was $15.00 only, and in total for part, and labor it would be $100.00 to $150.00 dollars. So we were definitely ripped off. We also take responsibility because we didn't do our research beforehand. But the AC stopped cooling late evening, and my parents couldn't be without AC because of their health issues either. For that I thank them, but the pricing is ridiculous. I also reached out to them several times only to find out they couldn't do anything. So as a first time customer, and last I want to say Goodbye.

Just had a service call completed by Li (#64722) and it's thanks to him that we are going to sleep cool and comfortable! He was not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but exceptionally kind and helpful. What a blessing (and relief) to have found this company and met Li. Call this company with confidence!

What a terrible company! And we will not continue with our membership anymore. They are suppose to give you maintenance to your unit but every time that they go to your house they try to sell you something. I know how it is but what surprise us this time is that after we told the technician that we didn't want anything and he understood, he did the cleaning and charged us $463.00. $99 for a diagnosis (which was not suppose to be charged to us), $135 for a level 3 and $235 for drain and pvc repair. Drain and pvc that was not suppose to be changed, and most important... the pvc that he used was mine from outside. Since that day we have been trying to contact someone and a manager called us 3 days after. We scheduled another appointment with a manager in order to check the previous work so they can determined if they can refund us the money BUT I was very clear that I needed to wait until my husband was here with me so he can interact and explained the situation to the manager. They went one hour and a half before the time that I told that we were going to be there so obviously no one is at home!! I spoke with Cristina, a lady that takes the calls and she insisted that the manager can't arrange a time with my husband after his work hours(by the way he finishes at 5:00, can be at home at 5:30 and they offer you a window from 4:00-6:00, so technically he CAN) but they just don't want to help!! More important, don't want to check the service because they know and don't want to give your money back!

Tech came for a yearly maint service , supervisor showed up as well. Very little cleaning took place and a lot of effort went into trying to sell or lease a new unit. Waisted my money just to watch and hear both of them trying to ripe me off. Their dishonest approach is obvious...they only hoped the supervisor wasn't around so they could help you (his words) with your dying unit. Had to point out to tech to reinstall cap on unit, drain line was left halfway off sucking air through it and making noise, etc.....

What a terrible company. Hired them to look at our leaking vent that our building engineer said is related to our AC. a guy came for one minute, didn't take a look at either the vent or AC, told us that's because of an old filter (AND MOCKED US FOR NOT CHANGING IT) and charged us almost $90 instead Of promised $29. When we called the office to say that the service is a joke and we will make sure to write a review a lady on the line kinda laughed at us. So. Our vent keeps leaking the problem wasn't even attempted to be solved by these people. STAY AWAY.
