Tollie E.Horrible.
Misdiagnosed the problem, wanted to charge more to fix their mistake and refused to refund the services.
I'm filing a complaint with the state licensing board.
Use at your own risk.
""Service Doctors"" is an absolute FRAUD and the staff are the best Con artists. They showed up on time the first time, and performed a repair on our AC unit that did not take care of the problem. They left the old part as a show of good faith. Later we discovered that the part did not even belong to our unit! They came back, took more money, changed more parts (fan motor) and still did not fix the problem. During the third visit, they threw a bombshell, saying that the whole compressor was bad and it would cost $2400 for the repair. Ready to replace the whole unit, we were contacted by an ""angel of mercy"", Nasser from Relax Air, who discovered the Service Doctors technicians had shut off the gas valve, so there was no freon circulating in the unit! $120 later, we have a fully functioning AC unit. It turns out that they took away our original fan motor and replaced it with a cheap imitation. We now have a complaint pending resolution. My many calls were answered by 2 individuals Their responses when I asked for their names: Tom, Jay, Jeff, ...and wait for it: Sean Taylor!!! I guess they did not realize they were dealing with a die hard football fan!
I am writing this review to warn others hoping that they will not be caught in the middle of such scams. ""Service Doctors"" based in Chantilly is a FRAUD.
Cyrile D.This is the worse company you can hire. These people are dishonest. I hire them to fix my AC unit for the 3rd floor. I left instructions that they should go in the arctic to check that unit because it was the one that supplies the 3rd floor. They came, never went in the arctic, went outside, did like they added some freon, and got paid. When I came home, I call them to let them know that, we already added freon about a year ago in the units outside. That I needed a technician to come back and check the unit of concern. They gave me an appointment and for the next day from 2pm-6pm. When the time came, they call me to tell they wanted to reschedule. I told them no, that I took the day off, and if it was midnight I would be waiting for them. They then call me to tell me they could no longer service my AC. I will take them to court. Please don't deal with these people, I had bad service before. But this tops them all.
Raymond L.On 1-13- 2016 we had this company come out - Jeff, the service tech stand that we needed to possibly replace control board and Relays on our heating unit. We had to leave a $300.00 deposit for a $726.10 charge (quote). We needed heat so we agreed to move forward. On 1-15 there folks come out and one was the manager , Emit. I joined them in the attic and watched and asked questions as he tested the circuits and amperage flowing through the lines. Emit claimed he liked to test the unit before replacing the circuit board to ensure that was the problem. All checked out and so I said that then we do not need to change the control board after all. Emit said that we did and that he had already done so. This was confusing because he was up there less than 10 minutes before I followed him and he had originally stated he was testing the board first. So, I asked him if I could see the board that he replaced from my unit. He reached in his bag and said here it is. The board showed no burn spots or shorting from resistors, capacitors or diodes. The unit had three relays and was much larger than my current board that he claimed to switch out. I noticed that he and his partner wanted me to give the board back, so I asked if they would mind me keeping my old board. They said no problem. After they left that evening, the heater was still not working. I called them back and the next day and Emit stated he believes he knows what the problem was and that he would have his folks come back out. This was confusing as how would he know and he just claimed that it was fixed. I shared with him the concern about the control board and that it did not fit my unit. He emphatically worked to assure me that it would and did fit. I researched the parts and realized the part he, Emit, claimed he replaced did not even come from my unit. Totally different brand and would not function in my unit. Additionally, the board in my unit is the original board and I was charged for replacing the board. Emit, the manager, stated that I was under their warranty and that they would fix the heating. He then asked me for my unit's model number so that he could order the proper parts. (if he actually replaced the control board originally, he would have known my unit's model number. I ended up texting it to him on the 16th of January, after he allegedly replaced it the day before. On 1-18, Marvin came out and instantly saw that I had a loose wire on the thermostat and that we need to reprogram the thermostat. Nothing else was wrong and the heat worked fine. I showed him the control board that allegedly came out of my unit and he laughed and stated that that was not a control unit for your system, and asked where did you get that? I then explained the situation and he suggested that I speak with the manager, Emit about what we need to do at this point. I called the company and ultimately want my $726.10 back for a service that was not done and the fraudulent practice and deception that this company practices is reprehensible to say the least.
Like the others here, be warned that they won't be able to follow up/keep schedule to complete the job, which they couldn't do right in the first place.
BEWARE!!!!! Grossly mark-up the cost of parts (charged $200 for $30 gasket; $400 for a $50 fan). Also sent a crew that did not know how to install gasket and ruined part when attempting to do so. Proceed with caution!!!
Avoid these crooks at any cost. They first tried to sell me a compressor that I didn't need for my Subzero refrigerator and then put in a generic thermostat that didn't work. I needed to get a second serviceman who put in the correct Subzero part before the problem was fixed. They lied and told me they would only charge me the $49 service charge because they hadn't fixed my problem and yet billed me over $500 anyway. There were lies upon lies. They also go by the name All Appliances. One star is overgenerous!
DO NOT use this company!!!! They stood me up two days in a row, saying that they couldn't find anyplace to park. On top of that, they wanted me to provide my credit card information to them (before) they came to look at my dishwasher. I will be reporting them to the BBB!
Durlabh J.After installation on new Air Conditioner, never showed up after over 10 reminders. Never go with them!
This company is deceiving they take your
money and provide no service. They suggest
what is wrong and tell you that you can fix it
yourself and what it cost. Jeff said I could
call him if wasn't thermostat by the way that
is what he said was wrong. I had to call another
HVAC company that told me nothing was
wrong with the thermostat. The price on their
site said a service call would be 59.00 but Jeff
and his associate told me it was 100.00
I started to write a check and Jeff said they
had a problem with the bank and I should give
him cash. Now what do you think about that.
BAD business practices. I will be reporting this to
the states Attorney and Better Business Bureau.
