Kevin Comerford and his family have been meeting the heating and air conditioning needs of Northern California homeowners since 1972. Kevin completed his studies at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1994. Post-graduation, he returned to his family's HVAC business. After 25 years of ownership, his parents sold the business to a large corporation in Dallas, TX. After six years with that company, Kevin opted to leave the corporate sector and start a family-run, customer-focused business like his parents did in 1972. Thus, he founded Service Champions in 2002. With these core values, Kevin's business has flourished, now employing over 200 team members and celebrating 18 years in operation. Today, Service Champions caters to homeowners in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), South Bay, and the Sacramento area.
Kevin resides in Pleasanton, CA, with his wife and three children.

My Grandparents use this company, but I have been at their house twice when these guys came out to do work for them.
The first time was to check out the air conditioning (this was a couple months ago) and the man who came out was extremely kind and explained well what was going on. He had to climb up on the roof on an exceptionally windy day and I think the price for this consultation was very reasonable.
The second time was last week to check out the heater. I have never gotten the names of these guys (regrettably) so I do not know if one of the two that came out this time was one from the first time. These two were also extremely nice. One of them even brought up the trash cans from the gutter to the garage and also replaced a filter for my Grandfather. They fixed the unit, which I also think was reasonably priced. My Grandparents and I have just had great experiences with these guys overall.
UPDATE: I am beginning to suspect rot behind the sugar coating. I have had many more experiences with these guys and can now give a more thorough opinion. Every time they have come over, they have been extremely kind. But the problem is how often I do see them. They have had to come fix something more than they should. It leads me to believe that: 1. they are not doing a good job of fixing it 2. the unit is faulty and needs constant fixing and they would rather make money coming out to check it 3. they are setting it up to break every so often to come back and make money. Not sure what the truth is but it feels very off.

Brandon C came to my house in the time frame I was given by Service Champions. He was polite, took his time with the job he came to do and gave me detailed information on my current furnace, its lifespan, and how it works. He cleaned up after himself and helped me schedule an appointment to have a new furnace priced in the even my old furnace dies. Glad I went with Service Champions maintenance program.

Appointment was my free tune up which comes with the membership. Steve went through the system and found a couple potential issues and things that could be improved. Recommended some services and products but was not pushy. Happy with the ser

Thanks Service Champions. Brandon C did a great job in my furnace check and AC tune up. I was happy with the price of the $39 special and hope that it gets offered again in the future.

Brandon C. was very professional and very knowledgeable in what he is doing. He was very thorough and helpful. I highly recommend Service Champions and of course Brandon C.

After posting a fairly negative review based upon there pricing, Service Champions contacted me to see what they could do to make me happy. They ended up refunding $294 (of the original $494 price). This is on the high end of what I'd expect to pay, bases upon my research, but overall a realistic price. I was very impressed with their customer service, as I have been with their technicians. would have upgraded them to 5 stars, but felt the over pricing should not have happened in the first place. While I can recommend them for their services, I would caution you to watch their pricing and feel free to negotiate or objective it seems to high.

What a RIP-OFF! I called for A/C service; they charged me $424 for a $20 part. This was in addition to the charge for the service call and knowing that I also wanted to get a quote on a new A/C-Heater system. Tried to sell me another part too, but stopped them before they could do it. I think the Better Business Bureau would like to know this. Beware of this huge marketing machine...

All I can say is these guys tried to sell me a whole new unit. My ac was working fine called for a tune up only. The service person said there was so much wrong with my unit it wouldn't be worth to fix. It wasn't broken in the first place. Anyway I called another company they came out actually tuned up the ac. Put on some new parts (very inexpensive) and that was it. Service champion are sales people they got me for their mvp service which I will never use now that I see how dishonest they are .

Brandon C did a great job walking me through the issues that he saw in the attic and my AC unit. Explained everything very well and seems to be a strong asset to your company.

I had made an appt. with them on a Thursday for what I thought they would be out ""Next Thursday"" in their words. I then found out it was two weeks out. Poor communication! I went with another vendor.
