For over four decades, Kevin Comerford and his family have been fulfilling the heating and air conditioning demands of Northern California residents. Kevin graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1994. Following his graduation, he came back to join his parents' air conditioning and heating company. After 25 years of ownership, his parents sold the business to a large corporation in Dallas, TX. Kevin worked with that company for six years before deciding to leave the corporate environment and establish a family-owned, client-centered business like his parents did in 1972. Thus, he founded Service Champions in 2002. With these core values, Kevin's business has flourished, now employing over 200 team members and celebrating 18 years in operation. Today, Service Champions serves homeowners in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), South Bay, and the Sacramento region.

Kevin makes his home in Pleasanton, CA, alongside his wife and three children.

My heater stopped working overnight. I remembered Service Champions from helping with my mother's heater. I got a same day appointment which I thought was amazing for this time of year. Amber came out within a 1/2 hour (also amazing!) and provided me with a diagnostic. My system is 18 years old, and Amber was excellent at explaining in terms I could understand how the system worked and why I was having the issues. We discussed options. She was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. As a result, I am getting an estimate for replacing my furnace from Service Champions so I can make the best decision for my situation. Big shout for Service Technician Jake Palmyra , Comfort Advisor Ryan Bascom , and HVAC Specialist Technicians Austin Sheaffer Brandon Banegas and Tyler Buck. I moved to my home in Rocklin about one year ago. The home inspector as part of the purchasing process. The inspector noted a rat trap with peanut butter in the attic but no signs of current rodent activity was noted in the home inspection report.
After I moved in I could tell that there was definitely rodent activity in the house. I won't mention the name of the home inspection company in this yelp review but I will we leaving a candid review concerning that home inspection company. Just please please beware of bad home inspectors when purchasing a new home.
After I moved into this home I hired a Pest Control Company to get rid of the rodents but I was never alerted as to the damage the rodents had left behind.
Fast forward several months , I hired Service Campions to maintain my air conditioner and furnace systems. Jake from Service Champions came out to clean the permanent air filters and to inspect the air conditioner and furnace systems in my home. Jake was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, He clearly thoroughly explained how my air conditioner and furnace were functioning and explained what Service Champions would do to maintain my systems in order to best ensure that my air conditioner and furnace would function as expected for as many years as these systems do last.
Additionally Jake alerted me to a serous problem with my air ducts in the attic. In several areas rodents had chewed through the outer protective layer, through the insulation covering,, and directly into the air ducts that ventilate my home. There was what looked like years of accumulated rodent excrement and urine as well as nests and trails in and through the insulation in my attic. Jake showed me pictures that he had taken of all of this and as per my request Jake made an appointment for a consultation for me to discuss options for correcting the unhealthy state of my attic.
The next day Comfort Advisor Ryan came out to my home to discuss attic renewal options. Ryan was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He inspected the attic and presented all of the options that I could choose from. Ryan patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions and presented plans for me to consider that would work best for me. I am very grateful for his expertise. I chose the plan that was best for me and Ryan scheduled the work that would be done.
A few days later HVAC Specialist Technicians Austin Brandon and Tyler arrived promptly. Austin was the Team leader for replacing the air duct system. He and all of Austin's Team were professional and courteous and extremely skilled. They worked efficiently and with precision. Austin took pictures of the new air duct system and thoroughly explained all of the the parts of system they installed. Technician came into my hose to service my A/C units. While doing the service,he is trying to sell me new A/C unit cause my unit is old( that what he said) and I politely said I will keep it in mind. He keeps selling me other service stuffs that I don't need and I politely said no. He got frustrated and got angry at me for no reason. After that he told me that he serviced the furnace unit and I show him what I scheduled for was A/C unit. He told me he already did furnace so he can't do the A/C anymore. I asked him for the bill and told him that he needs to show some respect while talking to me cause he looks really agitated. He apologized and offer me free of charges cause I wasn't satisfied. I told him take the money and leave my house cause I don't wanna deal with these people anymore. The worst service ever.

What can I say? Alyx was amazing! He came out to do an annual tune-up on our heating unit and also checked out the AC. He was very methodical and thorough. He even curled up our backyard hose that had tons of ""kinks"" in it! We were very pleased with his service and also his recommendations to bring our unit up to specifications. Just recently had the unit replaced, was a bit wonky in the but we had a tech come out to replace our house fan, he then did some adjustments to the outside unit now it's working a bit better. Just had another tech come out here by the name of Donovan Meek for just routine maintenance. Very friendly demeanor, knowledgeable as are most of the techs. Glad he stopped by to for the upkeep. Thanks for fixing the issue.
