Kevin Comerford and his family have been addressing the heating and air conditioning requirements of Northern California residents since 1972. In 1994, Kevin earned his degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduation, he returned to work in his family's air conditioning and heating business. After running the business for 25 years, his parents sold it to a major corporation based in Dallas, TX. Following six years in the corporate sector, Kevin opted to start a family-run, client-focused business, inspired by his parents' legacy from 1972. This led to the establishment of Service Champions in 2002. With these core values, Kevin's company has grown to include more than 200 team members and has been in operation for 18 years. Today, Service Champions caters to homeowners in the San Francisco Bay Area, covering the East Bay, South Bay, and Sacramento areas.

New AC and Heater still doesnt heat the house. Service Champions solution give them $16,000 more to add a zone. They designed and installed all new ducts and sized the new heater and AC for my house. If it needed a zone it should have been included in their plan. Not an addition for the customer to pay.

Had one of their people come to repair our AC unit. The tech said it needed a capacitor and parts and labor would be $600+. So I looked up the price of the part and found it was $19 and the labor was $600! Ordered the part and installed it myself for $20 and unit works great! Can't imagine how many people are paying those prices! Compete robbery!

We have worked with Service Champions before and they have been very helpful with our HVAC needs. When our furnace quit we looked to Service Champions, as well as others, for estimates. Service Champions were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Tony Dunning was very helpful throughout this process. Since we were without heat, the fact that Service Champions had the equipment needed and installation time available, made them an easy choice.
The installation was amazing. Edgar and his associate did a wonderful job. They explained everything clearly, especially about the new safety codes. The new thermostat is wonderful. Again, Edgar made sure we were comfortable using the new equipment. I cannot speak highly enough of the two installers.

We just had a technician come out to service our system. We have a maintenance agreement with them and our technician today was Barrett. He did a great job. Asked good questions, was a great listener and went all over our house to help address why our kids room has been so cold. Even the dogs loved him. Before he left, he helped my husband hang up a tricky curtain rod. Thanks Barrett!

Today is the second time in a row that Service Champions has called (just prior to the end of the scheduled appointment window) to advise that the technician is running late (with another client). Customers' time is valuable and expectations should be met or better managed. Not pleased at all. The VIP membership program is clearly a revenue generation thing for SC, not a benefit to customers. If one is a VIP then why can't SC treat them as such? Clearly, they are understaffed or they don't perform diagnostic screening of their service calls by phone to better estimate technician time requirements and schedule accurately.

I'm so disappointed in their service for my repair of my furmance. I called the Service Champions because I had used them for a tune up.
When Adam came out he checked my furnace and told me if I wanted it fixed he can order the part on Monday and will be able to fix that Wednesday
. I signed up for their yearly subscription for maintenance. I asked how much it would be to replace. Another man came to inspect again. I was going to replace my unit and it would have been done that following week.
After thinking about my finance I decided to just have it repaired. They were good about canceling the new furnace BUT I am still waiting for my repair.
It has been 3 weeks without my heater. California is not hot in Winter.
I only gave 2 stars because two people were at least tried to help.

They are the biggest scam artists! Omg!!! These guys are trained criminals. We had a new heating unit put in last year. We are still paying them for additional visits, faulty equipment and bullshit!

So far so good. Jordan inspected our broken heater. He patiently explained our options. We chose the smallest and cheapest as we live in a small place that we don't plan on living in forever. No pressure.
The installer, Hung, arrived two days later and efficiently installed the unit. He got it hooked up to my phone which I really appreciated. This saves me time trying to figure out the technology. All good.
I'd recommend this company.

A few days ago my 24 yo single family house furnace decided it was done heating my home and the blower motor seized. Service Champions were one of the only HVAC companies who are open on the weekends. The others were either closed or 24 service call centers. Service Champion's technician came out on Saturday and explained all my options. We could have fixed the blower but most likely another part will fail soon because of the age of our Bryant furnace. No pressure but just experienced given by the technician to probably think of purchasing a new furnace. We decided to purchase a new furnace. Note: The technician now must call and schedule a ""Comfort Specialist"" aka Sales Representative to come out. Also, if you purchase a system from them, the service call charge will be credited to your bill. This is typically used by companies to help seal the sales deals. Otherwise, you just pay the for the service call on move on.
Anthony came out the next day to present all the heating options. It seems Service Champions only work with Lennox HVAC systems. No other brands were offered. If this is a turn off you might want to look for another company to work with. Anthony was friendly and informative. One negative is the contract you sign. Most are straight forward but Service Champions are a bit different to a certain degree. Instead of the model numbers of the equipments to be installed, they have a weird system. For example the furnaces are labeled Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Presidential !? Anthony presented a laminate card explaining each with then the model in correlation. I suggest you use your camera phone and take pictures of all the equipment so you know what you are agreeing to. I chose ""Gold"" which means at this time a Lennox SL280DFV . This also includes a new S40 Lennox smart thermostat. I also added a 2"" hospital grade filtering system.
It took a few days more to schedule installation but this was expected to some degree. You should plan on installation taking the whole day, that way you wouldn't be upset if it goes beyond the morning. My installation took approximately 6 hours. The technicians were wonderful and I was very impressed on how everything looked and quality of work. I researched Lennox and found they are one of the best HVAC companies out there plus Service Champions have a 15 year parts/labor warranty to back it up. I always get other bids too and there were cheaper alternatives but when you compare everything with their warranty, Service Champion was my choice.

We received excellent service from Andrew Shepherd several days ago. He measured our new air conditioner for a cover when not in use. We already received it today! He also answered several questions that we had regarding our furnace/AC system which we did not think to ask about when the units were installed. He was friendly, helpful, and informative. A good employee and a fine company!
