We had a serious flood due to a water main break ... S4P has been our vendor for some time, but their response to our problem was a very fast, effective, and well built replacement to our 100 year old building. We are very blessed to have S4P as one of our vendors.

This is the first review that I have ever written. I'm writing it because of the absolutely FANTASTIC service I received from Napolean and his crew. I was complaining to a friend of mine about the lack of quality plumbers where I live and was going to try and find someone in San Jose to do the job I needed done. My friend said that she just had a plumbing job done and the people she hired did a really good job. I was hesitant to call because Service 4 Plumbing is in San Leandro and I live in Santa Cruz. I am sooooo glad I ended up calling.

We were converting a garage and needed all of the plumbing for the bathroom and kitchen. I called Napolean on a Friday and he said that he could come the next day to see the space and talk about what we wanted. Keep in mind that San Leandro is over an hour away from where I live. Napolean not only showed up exactly when he said he would, but he also pointed out things that we didn't think of. Don't read this wrong . . . he was NOT trying to add things on to raise the price. He had legitimate reasons to ask us if we had ever considered this or that. We are very grateful that Napolean is extremely knowledgeable in what he does. We would have missed CRUCIAL details in our design without his expertise.

We ended up hiring Service 4 Plumbing on that Saturday and they started the job on Tuesday. By Thursday early afternoon, they were done. If I had hired someone from here, we would still be waiting for them to schedule us in and it would have cost us a lot more money. Napolean and his crew were complete professionals from start to finish. I can't express how happy we are with the quality work and very fair pricing that we received from Service 4 Plumbing. If they opened up an office in Santa Cruz, they would quickly take over the market. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and if you're smart, you will too.

This morning our 12-13 year old water heater finally gave out. We called Service 4 Plumbing right away and made an appt. for a little later in the day. Napoleon saw our name on his list and came within 30 minutes! (He did not leave any job undone to come. He was actually finishing one job when we called). I must say even when we started using Service 4 Plumbing they were very timely and he always calls if by chance he runs late.

We have been using Service 4 Plumbing for many years. They have done small and large projects for us including replacing all our old pipes with copper ones. Napoleon (owner) is great and has a lot of integrity. He stays on site 95% of the time and carefully checks all his work. He is most concerned with doing every job right thinking about the long term concerns. If something is wrong, he will do it over. Also, whenever we have had issues with anything related to work being done, he comes and corrects it quickly. He guarantees his workmanship 100%. We feel very blessed to have met Napoleon years ago. We now call only him and have a great relationship with Service 4 Plumbing and Napoleon. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND SERVICE 4 PLUMBING!!!

One last thing, his prices are competitive and reasonable. He explains in detail what the job entails and how the job costs are figured. He also explains what is happening and why during the job. We have learned a lot along the way!

Napoleon & his crew are the best! Called him when a tenant had water backing up in the toilet into the bathroom. He was out to the house quick, had an estimate within a half hour and started work right away. The job was more extensive then either of us thought but his crew busted butt and were done in just over 48 hours! I am happy and best of all, the tenants are happy. Will definitely call him again.

My experience was no so great, initially I was told the work would be completed in one day, later we ran across a problem, I was told they would return to complete the job and they have not returned, I have made several calls to the company, the last call I told them I would complain to the BBB i was then told I would be charged a fee for them to come back out to complete the job. I then called back and apparently the brother of the owner told me he would ""HANG"" me if I reported them, not only is this a threat this is a racist threat, as he knew I was African American. I have refused payment until my job is complete.

I would like to add information to my review that might be helpful to others.

When the plumbing and sewer repairs were being done at my property, Napoleon suggested that these very expensive and extensive repairs would likely be covered by insurance - a possibility I hadn't thought of. I decided to open a claim with my insurance company. After I provided all documents and receipts to the insurance adjuster, he, of course, wanted to see the property and talk about the technical aspects of the repairs. Needless to say I'm not capable of talking about technical plumbing issues. Napoleon met with me and the adjuster and explained everything to the adjuster's satisfaction. Napoleon also coordinated calls and meetings with the adjuster and other contractors where necessary. Long story short, my claim was accepted and I received a substantial reimbursement of my costs.

I could not have coordinated this without his help. I am very grateful for his effort both during and after the repair. You will not go wrong with Napoleon.

Getting a repipe estimate was a shocking experience. First, Napolean was nice on the phone, but then he missed the appt time without calling.
2 hours later the dispatcher called and cancelled the appt. However, an hour after that, Napolean did show up. I reluctantly let him in the house. He said someone else was coming to crawl under the house and he would assess from the ground floor. From the beginning, he was very irritated with questions. (I asked him to please explain to me how he knew there wasn't copper in the risers and behind fixtures since the prior plumber estimators who did crawl under the house said there were.) Then, he told me he used to service the house and he had put in the water heater. Before I could blink, he slapped 2 company stickers on the heater with his # for service. I questioned why we were told that the water heater was strapped incorrectly.. Then, he claimed someone else must have done it and said the pipe size was illegal and wouldn't pass inspection. The fact is it did pass inspection. Only the straps had to be adjusted before the loan was approved. Either he put in an illegal pipe or he tried to cover that he didn't strap it properly. After that, he looked at one more bathroom and left the house. I followed him out and he was on the phone telling someone I wasn't home. Then he said he would send the bid, but he doesn't have my address. AFter he left, i realized he dumped mud and dirt all over my side walkway. This guy was less than straighforward and creepy.
I am thinking that is why they have no address or email on their website. Also probably why they are so cheap. I wouldn't trust their product or even their presence in your home to do an estimate!

I wanted to add my review to the other good reviews. I have used Napoleon and his crew now four times. The first was a broken toilet pipe, an emergency situation, and they showed up promptly, did the work that evening quite professionally and at a reasonable cost. Other places I have used over the years for these kinds of emergencies have tried to gouge me or insulted my intelligence by trying to bulls**t me about what needed to be done. Not these guys. Honest, straight-on pros. Since then, the water main exploded in my front yard one evening last year and they were right on it, the whole thing replaced in a matter of hours, an expensive repair, but not exorbitant; my garbage disposal went on the fritz and when I called them, Napoleon walked me through how to clear it and reset it, on the phone, no charge. Abraham came out to replace a hose faucet in the backyard last summer and actually took the time to fix three other hoses in my yard that were leaking, no extra charge for the 15 minutes of work it took. And just this week, I had him come out and fix my leaking toilet, less than an hour, works great, done! I recommend these guys to everyone.

Customers Beware. They cut a lot of corners to save money for the company but not to us the customer. They had two come back twice to fix the same ongoing problem an it's still not correct. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company! I really wish I did. You will not be happy with there work! I don't usually right reviews but I really feel I needed to for this company. What there doing is not right.

I recomment this company..., very honest, neat, and highly qualified to fix any problem with your plumbing. Ask for Neopolean, very nice man, the entire staff is very pleasant!
