Plumbing emergency at 4pm on a Thursday afternoon while we were all in a shelter-in-place order, Napoleon from Service 4 Plumbing saved us and our toilet! Highest possible recommendation for him!

Avoid booking these guys. They use a slightly different name on craigslist. Booked an appointment with them and they called in the morning to ask me to move it from 1PM to 9Am which I could not.
At 1:30 I called and asked where they were and they said they could not come until after 3.
Day wasted. Don't waste your time like I did, call someone else.

The sewer line under the concrete slab floors of four apartments corroded and collapsed in places, a very major item to replace. Napoleon was recommended.
He strongly recommended hydro jetting. His quoted price was less than sewer replacement but still a huge expense.

I called other plumbing companies that used hydro jetting to compare. Napoleon's price was many times anybody else's. Worst, hydro jetting was not recommended for residential because it could spray sewage all over baths and Kitchens, and was not the correct solution for this problem anyway.

So this cautionary tale is that going with Napoleon could cost you many times the correct price, cause other damage, and not even take care of your problem.

I would call them if you want to get scared into replacing your entire plumbing at $20K, That's what happened when I had them look at my plumbing. They said ""Everything is out of code"" and when I asked them to tell me exactly what isn't, they couldn't answer. I later called another plumbing company who inspected and found 3 minor things not up to code and did the work for 1/10th the cost.

Whomever it was who came to represent this company deserve a big fat ""0"" star, as it was evident early on that these two men knew little-to-nothing about the simple toilet-flushing fix and simple leaky bathroom sink fix.

I was quoted $350.00 for EACH, and was even told that I may as well just buy an entirely new toilet (the toilet was only a few years old,) and just days ago I had it fixed by another reputable plumber for $150. Even at that, it was just replacing a part in the back of the toilet, but at a going rate, not a rip-off rate. He actually went out and just bought the part. Then Service 4 Plumbing guy with the high quote told me the exact same thing about fixing the leaky faucet ""not a washer problem, you need an entirely new vanity, $375.00."" The same OTHER plumber just days ago fixed the leak by replacing the faucet itself (was old and corroded) for $150. He recommended where I buy it, and even offered to pick it up for me. So for BOTH repairs, it cost just over $300.00, not more than twice that amount, as quoted by Service 4 Plumbing.

I will NEVER call Service 4 Plumbing again, and can only think that whomever gave them a higher rating, had different people, more honest and legitimate, come to fix their problems.

We're renovating our downstairs bath and installing a new on-demand hot water heater. Service 4 Plumbing was my 4th estimate. After the 3 stooges had given me their estimates and diminished my confidence in what needed to be done, how long it should take and what it would cost, my expectations were low. As soon as I met Napolean it was apparent that he knows his plumbing. He pointed out the folly of installing a shower valve on an outside wall - can't get to it later should anything go wrong. No-one else mentioned that. He noticed that the waste flange for the toilet needed to be replaced. No-one else saw that. He made an intelligent argument for mounting the new hot water heater inside versus outside - others said it didn't matter. Outside would have been a mistake. Napolean's price for re-positioning and removing old pipes to accommodate the renovation, buying and installing the new HW heater including my 15% discount was within $200 of the best of the other three plumbers. We chose Napolean. He showed up on time at 9:00 with his crew. They worked non-stop, spoke English any time I was in the room - (this has never happened to me before. Very considerate.), explained everything, finished the job by 2:00 and cleaned up everything on their way out. Napolean even filled out the warranty for me, gave me a tutorial on how to troubleshoot the new WH and secured the manual to the side of the WH so it would be right there should we need it. When we need a plumber, we will absolutely call Service 4 Plumbing. His prices are not cheap but he's better, more skilled, more efficient and more quality focused. He's a real company with a real crew, not just a guy in a truck. He pays his people a fair wage, trains them well, demands a stellar work ethic and uses top-grade, US made parts. All said and done, his estimate was comparable and he did what he said he'd do in record time. A great experience from start to finish.

This company charged $325 to put a cap on a 1"" copper pipe. The job took less than half an hour. No problems with the cap, but the price is ridiculous. I will not be using them again.

This company has worked at our home 3 times, and at a rental property twice. They are responsive, honest, reliable, and competent. Not only have they done excellent work, but helped us with a claim on our insurance which saved us thousands of dollars.

Rip Off!

About 7-8 months ago we called and had them come out and clear a drain. They charged $175.
This morning I had them come out and do the same thing as last time, only they charged me $489 this time.
I do not recommend this company for anything...

I had called this place for an over the phone estimate in which I was told that they don't offer estimates over the phone even though it's just for hydrojetting and running a camera through my clean out drain. So I made an appointment for the following day.

Napoleon and his crew came out to give me an estimate. They opened my clean out drain before even knocking on my door. When we came outside he gave us an estimate. The second we told them we are still pricing other companies, Napoleon became extremely rude and said to his team ""on to the next site."" We asked them to put the covers back onto our clean out drain and Napoleon refused. And just hopped back into his truck. We then insisted that his employee to do it, all he did was threw the cap back without screwing it on and then put the cover back on. How rude?!

Even if this company end up being cheaper than the other companies I quoted (which was not the case!), I wouldn't even want to hire them because of the way they treated the situation. As I consumer, I am entitled to price out different companies prior to deciding which company I want to go with. No need to be rude when someone decide not to use you at the time being. But if you keep a good rapport, maybe in the future I would've hire you, who knows?! This is just plain poor customer service.
