Just the facts: reported leaky faucet in my bathtub. Replaced on/off cartridge. Charged me
$139.00 for cartridge and $300.00 for labor! It was a Friday afternoon and I should have said
forget it. Also, took 15 minutes for the job.

Napoleon managed to restore functionality to our aged and problematic sewer lines at our slab foundation house twice now. He was willing to do what it took to get the job done, including pulling a toilet and jetting. They also replaced a clean out and part of a pipe from root damage. Lots of digging required. Fair. Thorough. Prompt. Great clean up. We really appreciated the ""above and beyond"" service.

Way too expensive. I had a sewer lateral leak. Yes I signed the estimate for $880 but didn't realize that it would only take two guys an hour and half to complete the work. I feel ripped off. And for that price you don't even get a dvd. The camera alone was $250. Now I need to get the camera work done again so I can give it to the successful bidder for lateral replacement. A competitor, Pelican Plumbing, does the same work for $285. That's $600 less. Service 4 Plumbing was recommended by Streamline Plumbing who does lateral replacement. Not sure if I'll let them bid on the work, but if they do, they'll have to come in $880 below the next best bid.
I stand by my review, having read Napolean's response. The price was exorbitant. He and his coworker found ways to stay busy for an extra hour and half after being notified of my negative review. I made my views known to Napolean and that's what prompted the 15% discount. A business with integrity would price their work appropriately, not look at customers as ""marks"" to be gouged.
And here's a further update - another company, ACE Sewer Laterals came out and scoped it for no charge, and determined that the lateral had not been reconnected to the city (Napolean mistakenly told me that he had scoped it clear to the main). I contacted the City and they made the repair. I still need the upper portion of my lateral repaired or replaced, but this was an important first step that cost nothing.

Wow. I just got ripped off to the tune of $300 to snake my kitchen sink. It should have been at max $150. This company will rip you off. Stay away, very far away! I learned my lesson the hard way.
The job took about 40 minutes. The 2 guys that came out probably figured I was dumb enough to have them do the work and shame on me, I was.

Noticed the bathroom sink was getting sluggish and contacted Service 4 Plumbing. The problem may have been caused by a contractor mixing plaster in the kitchen sink, but the pipes were quite old. One of the plumbers strongly suggested checking under the house for a possible leak. After checking he then stated that there was a leak. The aging pipes were replaced within a day, but then the plumber mentioned that the work really wasn't done because another vent was required in the garage. After paying 9900.00 could not afford another 2000.00. He then mentioned that replacing the parts in the garage sink would only cost 1200.00. None of this had been included in the bid because he just didn't notice. A neighbor had highly recommended this company, and at the time I thought the work done was good. Last month the aging toilet had issues. Again called Service 4 Plumbing. The toilet was 37 years old and most likely did need to be replaced. The price quoted was over 1,000.00. A friend recently informed me that I got taken advantage of. True - checking out Home Depot or another place might have clarified the actual cost of a decent toilet. Getting a quote for installation would have been available at Home Depot. Should I have waited much longer? No way of knowing now except I'm not anxious to use this company again. Reading the reviews on Yelp or even using Home Advisor would have been smarter.

I am very grateful for Napoleon's help! Here's what happened. I was desperately calling plumbers just after 5 pm because I'd gotten an estimate from Ben Franklin to replace my entire water service piping. It was going to cost $13K+. The plumber from Ben Franklin sounded knowledgeable and nice, and they offered financing too, and could do it the next morning, and I had a huge leak, so in desperation I almost went for it -- but a friend convinced me I had to get another estimate. I called many plumbers, but since it was after hours, none answered the phone -- except Napoleon. I spoke with him and he promised to go to my house the next morning at 8 to check it out. When he got there, at first he gave me an even higher estimate to replace all the pipes, but then he excitedly told me he had located the leak and it could be fixed for $2200. He and his guys did it within the hour.
Now, $2200 sounds like a lot for an hour's worth of work, even if it did take 4 guys. I have no way of knowing if that was a fair price or not, but I do know it was a whole lot better than paying $13K for a complete water service pipe replacement, so as long as this repair holds, I'm extremely happy and relieved! (Napoleon also promised that if the fix didn't work, he wouldn't charge me. If the fix should break, I'll report back on Yelp whether he honors his word. But I'm hoping that won't happen.) By the way, the Ben Franklin guy also told me I should replace my sewer pump (another $4K) and Napoleon says the sewer pump is fine. I hope he's right.

Absolutely a joke. Charged my 85 year old mother $880 for a 30 min job. Replaced P trap. Added an adaptor for it. And replaced hot and cold angle stop. I'd bet about $50 in parts.
Two amounts written on bill. $389 and $491. I asked to have the amounts clarified. Was told $389 was parts.
Tried to contact them to pay what a fair price is. Was told 690. Senior discount. Sorry. Not gonna happen.
Was told they charge by job. Not by hour or parts. Yet they have parts and labor listed.

I called these guys because my toilet was ""singing"" when I flushed it. I researched on the internet, and I had convinced myself it was a plugged air vent going to the roof. When the two guys arrived (an hour early, during lunch), they examined the toilet and properly diagnosed the problem as coming from the valve feeding the toilet. They said the recommended solution was to replace the valve, and replace the innards of the toilet as well. I was floored when they quoted me over $600, and said I might as well replace the whole toilet. Since they said it was the value, I leaned down and gave it a half a turn counterclockwise That solved the singing pipe, and my problem was solved.
I asked them how much do I owe them just for showing up. They said $89, I paid them and showed them the door.
I think these two were shysters trying to rip me off. Since they were representing the company, I can only assume their company is dishonest as well.
I give these guys the most negative review possible. I will never do business with them, and if you are smart, you won't do business with them either.

Wish I could give them 0 stars. My real estate agent set up a sewer lateral inspection for me on a property I'm in escrow to purchase. He obviously didn't check Yelp first like I always do. The appointment was definitely for 10-11. The owner of the company shows up at 9am and then calls us. We rush over to the property to be polite despite his mistake. I think he just likes to do inspections when nobody is there. We get to the property to find out that he has already crawled under the house and completed his inspection of the property. There is currently a renter on the property who probably wasn't expecting somebody under the house at 9am. Within 2 seconds after getting there he explains that we need to add a clean out and he's ready to bid the job. I explained to him I just need an inspection but I'd like a clean out bid for when I am the owner. He says an inspection can't be done (Really he meant he wanted to start his lunch early!). Even though I am a woman I know my construction, so I say what about pulling a toilet or going through a roof vent. Oh the roof the vent is an option all of a sudden. The original bid for the job was 250 to run the camera and let me see the footage. Now to go on the roof the bid became 650. Mind you my roof vent is 10 feet up and 2 feet off the edge of the roof. It apparently costs 400$ more for insurance reasons. My real estate agent mentions that should of been brought up when we scheduled the appointment. How absurd!!! If you don't like your time being wasted don't call these guys. I agree with other yelps on here. They do what so many plumbers do and drive around bidding many jobs and waiting for the desperate person who will pay the crazy prices. Some businesses just don't understand customer loyalty comes through quality work. Small jobs follow larger job eventually. Burn your gas driving around bidding many jobs. Waste an hour under my soon to be house that you get 0 dollars paid. Sounds like a solid business plan to me. I'm on to the next plumber.

i had a 7am appointment for a plumbing emergency and even after an hour i didnt see the technician show up!! i was waiting for them like a fool. Very disappointed.
