Charged us for a brand new grinder pump - pump went bad after 1 month . Found old pump was from 2017 and likely used. Did not provide us with warranty info or bill of sale. When confronted about this he was extremely rude, hostile and degrading to me as a woman. Would NEVER ever recommend this company to anyone. Did work for us prior and thought we could trust him, stay far far away from this guy.
My mother called and these people showed up. He claimed there was a broken pipe in the septic hill and bad pump. He"" fixed"" the problem, collected his $2500+ and never returned to clean up his mess he created. Fast forward to a couple years later, septic backed up again and had a reputable pump service come to clean it out and inspect the system and find out semper fi replaced the 220 volt pump with a 110 volt pump. Also bypassed the septic alarm so his shotty work went undetected until tank was full years later. I wouldn't trust this guy to bag my groceries at the checkout. Very unprofessional and no excuse to take advantage of an elder woman who trusted he was a professional.
I cannot say enough good things about this company. The 2 gentlemen who came to my home for a pump replacement were courteous and professional. Explained everything they did and why. Called mid mornin and by early afternoon I had running water!
Kelly T.Semper Fi abandoned our job, taking the grinder pump which he had installed himself, only months earlier, never to return.
I have had to file complaints with the authorities.
Please beware.
John C.My wife called me at work Wednesday morning, no water! I went home checked all the breakers and found a tripped reset switch, I reset it and the water was back on. I called Semper Fi and talked to Joby first who sent out a young kid named john, he ran a few tests on the pump with a multimeter and them called me from my wife's phone telling me that the pump was only registering half the ohms it should be, and was failing. this was an immediate red flag cause it would read higher than normal if it was going bad.
They called my.landlord and discussed replacing it and started to try to pull the pump but it's 710 feet deep and don't have a big enough hoist. They said they would be back first thing Thursday morning. I got a call Wednesday evening from Robert, told me they weren't going to be back first thing morning because they had two other customers with no water and we had water at the moment. I asked Robert if we were going to be okay to take showers and do laundry and stuff and he explained to me that the pump was pulling normal amperage. So now John told me it was failing, they were about to replace it which was going to cost somewhere around $1,800, but they're telling me it should be okay. Well I got home to find the electrical box on the well pump head completely exposed with 220-volt wire sticking out for either my kids or dogs to be electrocuted by. I went down to the basement and found another electrical panel that had been opened for the pump tech box and there was electrical wires exposed there as well. They knocked the well troll tank off the cinder blocks and left a leaning against the wall to damage the pipes, and they didn't close the gate valve tightly on the bottom of the well tank leaving a giant puddle in my basement! So after seeing the condition my house was left in and being overly concerned with two different stories now about the condition of my well pump I called the owner and explained We did not want him back on the property due to the condition the guys left my property in. I called another well pump company that was highly recommended by a few people in the neighborhood and they came out were very professional tested my well pump explain to me all the numbers that they were reading, showed it to me in the manual and explained that there was nothing wrong with my well pump, that it's most likely the capacitors in my box were just going bad and if it continues to trip that I should just have them replaced the box for a very minimal cost. these fine fellas didn't even charge me for a service call and they put back together the mess that semper Fi left, rewired the box outside and rewired the box inside making it safe for my family. I tried to text Joby after I got home later Thursday night because they do communicate by text and he must not have realized who I was because he asked who I was and after I told him there was no more communication.
Be careful folks, they were about to perform approximately a $2,000 job that didn't need to be done. I wish this wasn't the review I would have to leave but this was my experience.
Anne H.We called Semper Fi this morning and they were here early this afternoon. Were wonderful!! Friendly, professional and we are extremely happy and grateful for the wonderful job they did!
Had a pump die and these folks promptly diagnosed the problem and replaced the pimp before there were any issues with backups of gray water in our house! Would highly recommend them, regardless of the negative reviews here. They r a veteran owned business and treated me with fellow veteran respect.
We called Semper Fi after seeing great Goggle reviews. My boyfriend, being a Marine himself, thought this company would be a good bet. Called on a Thursday and they came out and replaced a pressure switch and said they would be back out Friday morning to check the pump. My boyfriend took off work Friday. After many phone calls to them, they finally showed up at 4pm. The two young men who came out obviously didn't have much experience, did a quick pressure test on the well and wouldn't or couldn't answer any of our questions. They assured us their boss, Jobi, would call us Saturday to discuss things further. Never heard from him. I would not recommend this company, as I feel the workers didn't know how to troubleshoot and only wanted to dig up the front yard without knowing what the real issue was.
Horrible, disrespectful person I've spoke to.I bet this person should learn how to treat customers well. Calling someone a ""shit"" is a no no no. Act like a professional so your business will grow and foster.
Horrible. First, it took over three weeks of promised service before they showed up to fix a pitless in my well. Quoted me $1K, but charged me $1400 because their excavator broke a tooth. The technician told me that the new water system I just had installed was wrong for my water, which he claimed had a high iron content (he DID NOT test my water before making this claim). Water testing indicates my water has a high acid content, but minimal to no iron at all. When he left, he bypassed the filtration system in my basement, causing dirty, unfiltered water to pass through all the lines in my house. My licensed plumber needed to blow out all the lines, replace my kitchen faucet, and three bathroom faucets, and replace water lines to my washer and dishwasher due to the dirt, stones, and wood debris the Semper Fi technician allowed to enter my water line from the well when he replaced the pitless (by the way, Google a pitless - they cost around $100.00 at Lowes). The manager of the company called my husband and was nasty, telling him the water system we had installed was wrong and that to call him when we needed to replace it with it one he sells because he wants the job. So, aside from the $1400.00 I paid Semper Fi, and the additional $1100.00 in damage my plumber had to fix, I am very unhappy wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
