Buying a rural house, recommended by the realtor for septic inspection - owner said his inspection was expensive, but comprehensive. He charged over $600 for pumping/inspection. Fast forward to the next time I needed pumping/inspect - they said the tank was completely full, effluent pump was not working. Plumber comes, says the pump could never have worked, it was a 110v sump pump connected to a 220v circuit. So, end of story, Seep and Sons charged me a large amount for an inspection they did not do, as no one ever got down in the tank and tried that pump. Don't believe the hype about these guys from realtors and other paid reviewers.

Plumbers came to fix our well pump. The wires inside the well had shorted out on the casing. After replacing the pump and wires, the plumbers tested the electrical line from the pump to the house. I watched as the plumber showed me the wiring was bad using an inappropriate setting on the multimeter. He then cut the wires threw a 100 foot of romex on the ground and said I'd need to bury it. He then punched a hole through the wall with a piece of threaded rod that he and his cohort had to go purchase. He left a couple feet of wiring hanging outside the electrical panel (see pic) complete with twist nuts. As soon as they left I disconnected the new wire and hooked the old wire back up. It worked fine.
I called and complained, they did sent out an electrician to see what was done and repair the screw ups. I was told I would not be charge for the additional labor and parts. However, I was charged for all the time and though they removed the romex, they added 50' of wire to the well casing.
