I have been a loyal customer of Security plumbing for years because I have two rental properties and the property management company uses them for plumbing issues. Their work is good and I have never had any problems with workmanship. That being said, I have noticed in the past few repairs that the charge on the invoice has been higher, but I never questioned it. However, the last job was simple, replace the dripping shower valve and replace the toilet fill valve. The plumber came to the house and fixed both issues in 35 minutes. I expected the labor to cost $120 because that's what they charge per hour, but the parts were priced high. I checked the price of the parts online and noticed that I was charged double the cost of part. When I called them to ask why the high mark up, Steve said that they have to cover the overhead by charging more for parts. Honestly, we are already paying a lot for plumbing repairs. A business should not pass along their overhead costs to customers by charging them twice the cost of a part. Steve also said ""were not the cheapest out there"" and that's the truth. I am disappointed in your business practices. You can find plumbers that do quality work for a fair price. Security Plumbing, you have lost a super loyal customer.

I called this company before using them for an estimate on how much it would cost to change a P trap. I was quoted that there would be a $120 charge whether it took less than an hour or not. Then there would be a $8 charge of a part. There was never a mention of a transit time charge. The plumber had a difficult time removing the pipe so he ended up having to cut the pipe. Since he was already at my house I asked him to replace the fill valve in my toilet(I provided the part), then to check if the shut off valve was frozen in the yard (took a second).  When the plumber replaced the fill valve, he told me I should hang the rug that was around the toilet since he didn't make sure the tank was completely dry.  He went back to his truck to dry up the floor (I had to pay for him to dry up his mistake).  When I called to complain about my $362.30 invoice, I was told there was a travel fee and that GPS doesn't lie. Steve told me that he would deduct a few minutes, then asked me if I was a senior and gave me a discount. I thought the plumber was at my house less than half the amount of time I was charged time and not 2.7 hours, so I emailed several times that I wanted to know what the GPS times were but have never received a reply. I had another fill valve for my toilet that I wanted changed but decided not to call them again. I watched some videos and it took me less than 10 minutes to change and I didn't wet the floor. I appreciated that they came quickly after I called and did give me several discounts after I complained but I wanted potential customers to be aware of the travel time that they charge besides the time they actually work at the job because I feel this is a hidden fee.

They did good work. I had a leak I wasn't aware of until the neighbor in the unit below me let me know. Turns out it was my wax seal that failed and toilet flange was cracked. They also replaced the supply line, recauked and tested, etc. Since I had renovated and had both toilets replaced at the same time I had them check the other toilet and sure enough it was close to becoming an issue as well. Security Plumbing did fix the second toilet at a second visit (the plumber could not stay) although I'm told he should have. Consequently they did not charge me a fee for just coming out. Total bill was $402.

Security Plumbing sent out a technician on the same afternoon I requested service. Allan Miyamoto (Moona) was superb. He snaked out my high-rise condo washer drain outlet. First snake-out didn't work for whatever reason, so he re-snaked for the second time & it worked. He was meticulous in shop-vacuuming the wet carpet. Highly recommend.

This morning discovered that one of our toilets was blocked. Called Security Plumbing and they sent a very professional and knowledgeable technician out within the hour of my call. He knew right away what the problem was and fixed it in no time. He also explained why this toilet has the tendency to block up due to the low tank water level. It is so wonderful to know that Security Plumbing will be there for you whenever you have a problem with your plumbing. I cannot thank them enough.

I was away and had my apartment manager deal with a plumbing issue that came about. I was then charged the given amount. It showed what it was that cost the bill (clogs and repairs) but I hadn't known why I had to pay for certain fixes so I gave them a call. Brandon answered and he was very honest about all the questions I had and cleared up some confusions I had since I wasn't there when they repaired my toilet/the main pipe clog.
