Choice Home Warranty contracted with Sebino Home Services to check my hot water heater. A technician showed up on 26 or 27 Jun 2024. The diagnosis was there was a leak and heating element or thermostat was bad and he said he had to order the parts. Approximately 4 or 5 days later I called to see when the technician would be back and he replied I actually haven't ordered the part but I will order it tomorrow. I called the next day to see if it had been ordered and was told that it should be in Friday. Friday came and went.....nothing. Another week goes by and I call only to be told that a part was located but it was too far away to go get it. I stopped talking to them because I was getting madder by the second. I am now three weeks in and have no hot water at all. I called CHW to speak with a supervisor who contacted Sebino and was told they would be out the next day to check it again but as you would know it they never called or showed. I called CHW again and they called them again to which he apologized and said he wasn't going to be able to make it but that I would be the first person the next day and gave me a window of 7-11 (if I am first why do I need a window) anyway he was a no show again and I called a CHW supervisor again and after speaking with them he was supposed to call me with the eta for the part. This is the 4th time that I was supposed to get a call and I am still waiting. I can not believe that CHW is still using this vendor. I ended up calling and getting another vendor because I could not deal with Sebino Home Services anymore. If I could give no stars I would have because they don't deserve the one I gave them. If you ever get Sebino Home Services you are better off asking for a different company. I will never accept a contract with them again.
This is the worse company ever. Choice home warranty sent this Company and they weren't reliable at all. They should not even be in business.
extremely unreliable and unprofessional. Never showed up, when I called he claimed he didn't know what I was talking about and didn't know if he was going to make it. This happened TWICE on two separate days. They're a joke of a ""business"" avoid them like the plague.
Good luck getting these guys to actually do work. My AC ins't working and I have a Choice Home Warranty contract and they assigned Sebino to come out. A tech came out on a Sunday and I was quite amazed and happy and thought maybe things would be smooth. 6 weeks later and numerous emails to Choice and NOTHING has been done. Each time they told me they contacted SEBINO and their tech will reach out, they NEVER once did. I eventually called them and they had no idea that Choice approved the repairs. We briefly discussed the case to confirm and dude said he'd call me back, he has yet to call. Seems like this place is a nothing but scammers. Literally came out and got my $65 and hasn't done anything since.
1- I dont think these guys are licensed
2 - they will give you the same run around they gave me and others who've commented
3- again,. maybe if you DONT use a home warranty, they might actually want to work on your AC
If you have a home warranty, do not use them. I don't know how they will be if you employ them outright but stay away if you have an issue that is going through home warranty. Just purchased my home and my AC was turning on but not blowing cold air. My home warranty assigned Sebino to me on last Saturday and I reached out to them on Sunday. They said they could come out Monday morning. A gentleman came around 11am and showed me that my outside unit and the inside HVAC system was freezing over. I was told most likely the issue was that it needed Freon but that he: 1. Couldn't do anything since the system was iced over 2. Would need to contact the home warranty company for approval. Based on that I was told to run the fan on the unit to melt the ice and that they would need come back. I indicated that due to my work schedule, Tuesday-Thursday after 6:30 would be best. We discussed that Thursday would be a hot day so Tuesday or Wednesday after 6:30p was better. The gentleman said he was flexible on the time and that he'd be back in touch. I didn't hear anything on Tuesday so I reached out on Wednesday and after a bit of confusion, it was decided he would come out later that day after 6:30. I ran a bit behind but was met with a different gentleman who checked the unit outside again and said he'd have to come back because it needed Freon and that needed approval. Confused, I mentioned that I thought that has already been established. The new gentleman got the other technician on the phone and he proceeded to deny most of our previous conversation, only reiterating that the home warranty has to approve the diagnosis and that would be another at least 2 day wait. I was then told that I could call the home warranty to speed things along and was left with that. I contacted my home warranty immediately and was told that they could have contacted them over the phone to submit their diagnosis but that the home warranty company would follow up. I checked in on Friday and again that Saturday, not even a note that they had even been out to see me. At this point I've reached out to someone at 10am who was here by 11am and was told that the Freon is fine but that I did need maintenance. They did a thorough inspection of both systems and the maintenance and now my AC is back and running. I will have to pay for the maintenance myself but all of that back and forth I went through with Sebino was unnecessary! All this to say, if you are not paying them outright, don't bother contacting Sebino!
Worst of the worst. My A/C stopped cooling. Choice Home Warranty, which my landlord has finally realized is terrible after 3 years, but that's another sotry, scheduled Sebino Home Services. They were a NO SHOW NO CALL, so I called them and they gave me a time the next day. I turned my unit off to prevent damage. Tech shows up next day with 13 minutes to go before he's officially a no show again. I tell him I've turned the unit off, but before I did, I noticed the CONDENSER FAN outside was not running. He spends about 5 minutes outside, then tells me he fixed it. I asked what was the problem, what did you do to fix it? He says the switch was bad. Okay... but what did you do to fix it? Oh, I just fixed it. So the problem is solved? Yes. So what was the problem? It was the switch. Round and round and round. Okay this is going nowhere. Who do I make the check out to? Just leave it blank. Okay, do I get a receipt? I'll email it to you. Of course, the next morning, A/Cs not cooling. I call the home warranty, they tell me to call Sebinos to reschedule. I call Sebinos, talk to the owner who gets the tech on the line. The unit was working when I left. YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. YOU TOOK MY MONEY AND YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. You didn't even try to diagnose why THE CONDENSER FAN STOPPED WORKING. Okay, we'll come out again but you have to to call the warranty company again. Waiting on the guy again. He comes today, again at the last minute, oh, look, the condenser fan is bad. How about that!?! Well no sh!t. It's been 4 days in 90+ heat for you to tell me the thing THAT WAS OBVIOUS the first time around. I even told you the CONDENSER FAN STOPPED WORKING. So then he's supposed to call the warranty company to tell them what he found and get the authorization to fix it. He tells me I have to do it. Really? That's unusual, but Oh, okay. WTF am I supposed to do, refuse to call? So I call the home warranty company who calls Sebinos to verify what the issue is. Then I tell the warranty company that I don't want them back in my house and asked for another company, not this fly by night outfit. Hopefully tomorrow, this will just be another bad memory of the low-quality service offered by Choice Home Warranty and Sebino Home Services.
