SDL Plumbing changed a hot water heater in our home and left the carpet soaked with water. Called to ask if it was my responsibility to clean up their mess, and Amy the receptionist said this job is finished. WARNING Do Not Use Them! Sloppy service.

1 Star still doesn't do justice to this company. Stay away from this company. Somehow they are the only company to pick up American Homeshield claims after hours even they close at 4?? They made sure my claim was denied and then said I could go ahead and pay them 1800 for a new water heater or 4200 for tankless. All I needed was a thermocouple replacement. About a $15 replacement that I didn't have time to YouTube and get done.

Do not use SDL Plumbing. American Home Shield has them contracted to do service calls. They only want to up-charge and then overcharge for other items. They do not want to do the actual work and only want to supply items that are not or were not what they were serviced to do. Provided AHS an inaccurate diagnosis of the problem and AHS denied coverage.

Josh came out and fixed our problem and was very pleased with the results. Josh was very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend them.

Worst plumbing company I had. They were the company sent by American Home Shield. They came twice to replace a faucet, different story every time after they speak with AHS. They asked for out of poker cost that was unrealistic and basic rip off. Faucet retail cost $290 they wanted $765 for the same faucet. Horrible experience and I was about to cancel my AHS contract because of them

Just what others said. American Home Shield hires them, they diagnose "excessive force" that caused our guest shower (that rarely gets used) faucet to work... after telling me it would just be a cartridge. After trying to call once and not leaving a message they collected my service fee, completed the ticket, and would not return calls. These guys are crooks and I hope nobody ever chooses to do business with them intentionally.

We had SDL come out through our warranty company after a different company had come and done nothing. They sent SDL and Gary was very friendly and helped fix our leaky shower head and completely replace the parts inside the toilet. I came to leave a review and was shocked to see the low stars...not sure what happened but we had a good experience.

Sounds like a lot of people have the same experience with SDL.. We have the AHS warranty and they sent Brian from SDL out to investigate a minor leak in our kitchen faucet. We figured it was just a washer that needed replacing. Well, the plumber strolls into our condo - no tools in hand - and within 2 minutes determines our faucet was leaking because something was tightened down too hard and a 'metal part' was broken because of undue force (I wasn't present, but my daughter witnessed the 'service' being provided). The plumber also said our cold water supply was leaking and the water to the entire condo building would need to be shut off in order for him to 'replace' our faucet, and that is something they don't do.. All in, the repair would be over $750 and not covered by the warranty because of the 'undue force' we had put on the faucet. When I heard the faucet was not covered (via email and voice mail from AHS) I immediately called and demanded a second opinion, free of charge. AHS were not wanting to provide a another set of eyes free of charge, but persistence and promises of escalation prevailed and they sent out My Plumber. That experience is what I expected the first time around with SDL. The plumber was very knowledgeable, timely, and explained what needed to happen to repair our faucet - a washer (as originally expected) and a new cartridge. And, no need to shut off water to the entire condo building - the water supply was fine. This was on a Friday. They promptly ordered the part and fixed the faucet the next Monday, under warranty.
I suspect the rest of the people giving these incompetent crooks a '1 Star' rating are as tired of this runaround as I am. I have another non-related repair ticket in works with AHS, and as soon as it is compete, I will be reaching up their management chain giving them 'constructive' feedback on SDL, and getting an understanding of why in the world AHS continue to use the worst of the worst to provide service to their customers.

Very disappointed. They installed a new faucet in my kitchen, which became loose within weeks of installation. Also, when they were here, the technician asked if he could install a faucet that has one handle/sprayer vs the 2 it originally had, because "it would be easier" for him, I told him that he could, and he couldn't even get it right! Horrible experience.

DO NOT USE THESE PLUMBERS. I went for 2 weeks and a few days without hot water, 3 plumbers, lies, enormous cost of $$. The people in the office could care less about anything they hung up on me, put me on hold thinking I didn't know. I could go on and on into the grueling details but the main one was being told I needed an electrician and I did NOT when he arrived he found ZERO WRONG so what went on there I have no clue, then after that checked out the next nightmare began of everything being clogged from the install of the water heater. My uncle had to come out and finish the job after the last one came made up a story saying I needed a modification and AHS wouldn't cover it. Bottom line these ppl s/be sued and out of business.
