We bought a cabin 3 yrs ago and decided to start doing some upgrades. I contacted Scotty's Plumbing and was happy to talk to the owner and the many years of experience he had to offer. They did the job in a timely fashion and kept the cost well within my budget.

So I am a 57 yr old woman living alone and my water heater pilot light went out, My house is covered in snow and the water in my home is FREEZING cold. I try to light it myself many times and fail miserably:( I Google water heater repair and go to the 1st 2 ads. I call the 1st, Rooter Rooter, they take my info and say they will call me back but NO ONE EVER does.The 2nd one was Big Bear plumbing and heating and they take my info and then 1/2 hour later someone calls to tell me they are booked today and tomorrow so it will probably be 2 days! I tell them it's JUST a pilot light but I tried and couldn't light it! Too bad, still 2 days! I scrool down on my Google search and find Scotty's Plumbing and I get to actually talk to a technician. I tell him my problem and he spends more than 5 minutes on the phone with me telling me I can save myself some money and that I CAN do it! He explains everything step by step, then patiently answers my stupid questions. He tells me to try it again and if I can't get it lit, to call him him back and although he's on a job at the moment,(and it's already almost 6 pm and almost dark) he will DEFINITELY come to my home and light it for me!!! I do exactly what he tells me and WA LA, it lights!!! I call him back to tell him I LOVE HIM!!! LOL Anyway you call big companies and get the feeling they don't give a crap about you, but I saw that Scotty's is a family owned business and I say SUPPORT THE SMALLER FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES because they DO CARE and treat you like you are their family!!!THANK YOU SCOTTY'S!!!! I'm sorry, but I never got the name of the guy that helped me but THANK YOU, God Bless, and stay safe!!!

Scotty's is dependable, reliable, and available! We had a plumbing emergency in our cabin and Scotty's handled it quickly and quietly, our guests were impressed and we were grateful!

We own another rental property with two units and on the first freeze of the season, both heaters fail. Again, Scotty's Plumbing saved the day, installing two new altitude certified heating units, our tenants were impressed and we were grateful!

We had tried some other companies before we found Scotty's and were either disappointed by the work or had to wait up to two weeks for service. Now that we have found Scotty's, we know we're in good hands and are grateful that we can count on Scotty's to take care of our properties for us!

Awesome service!!!! Plumbers that actually know what they are doing, get the job done fast, and always reliable. Have used them twice, once for our business and once for my home. We had clogged drains at our business and were closed, 4 different plumbers show up try to unclog but don't achieve the goal and takes all day.called scotties was there in 30 mins got the job done in 20! Great Plumbers! Would recommend over anyone in the big bear area!!!

I called Scotty's plumbing this morning very early and got an immediate response back...in fact they were the first ones to call after I had made many attempts with the local plumbers in my area. Not only were they quick to respond to my phone call but they were quick to take my address and get to my property to fix my pipe that had roots growing inside it causing a back up in the sewer line. Chuck was the first man I met representing Scotty's plumbing. He was friendly courteous and was genuinely concerned with wanting to fix my problem. He immediately started to walk my property evaluating the situation. He did this before I had even agreed for him to take the job. I was most impressed with his sincere concern to help me. He gave me a honest quote what he thought it might take to fix it. He also presented all the different scenarios that might cause the price to go up and assured me he would do his best. Shortly there after one of his coworkers Andy joined him to help with the situation. Like Chuck, Andy was kind and diligent to quickly assess the situation and meet the needs that were demanding. After many hours of very labor intensive work it was finally fully operational. I was most impressed when the owners son named Gus, showed up and jumped right in to help as well and told them to double checked their work to make sure that they cleared the line completely. These are very good honest people and I will have them back the next opportunity that presents itself! Nice work men.

I recommend Scotty to anyone. He has always catered to all my needs from plumbing to installing gutters. He can pretty much do it all and if he cant he will recommend someone to you. Always on time and very honest. Great person to work with.

Been using these guys for years. They always show up and get the job done at a fair price. Had my forced air furnace start acting up and so I called the ""other guys"" right? Bear Valley Plumbing and Heating. Dude shows up, charges me $59, turns off the gas supply to my furnace, tells me it's ""unsafe"" but for $6000 he says he can fix it in about a day.
Glad it wasn't winter when he shut off my gas...
Kept wondering what kind of labor rate are you charging if a furnace install in one day cost 6 grand????
Called Scotty and just asked, ""Hey do you guys know anyone that does heaters? Scotty laughed and said, ""Of course! We do! I'll have my son come over TODAY""
Long story short, Gus came over, said $3800 and we will do it in about a day. Same furnace, same install. Chuck came out,did all the work just fine. I had a couple of requests to the install and they came back out and took care of all that too. No questions asked, No extra charge. Oh, and no $59 fee just to ""look"".
If you have plumbing or heating issues by all means call anybody you want but make sure you call Scotty too. Trust me,he'll take care of you.

As managers of a mobile home community, we have to get several bids prior to getting a job done. The majority of the time, the job is awarded to Scotty's not only because they're usually the most affordable, but their work is professional - sometimes innovative - always pleasant!!

I've used Scotty for several years. He and his team knows their stuff and are always helpful and on time. Plumbing work at 6,750 feet above sea level is different from down the hill. Good service and he gets it right first time!
