I gave one star because i could not give less. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. They are thieves with a license. Most contractors are in Big Bear!!!!!!
I recommended them to a friend and left me looking bad. The estimate was between $3600-$4000 and received a bill for $4579. WOW huge difference. I did complain and they did lower it to $4200 makes you wonder how much they are really profiting from their jobs!!!!????!!!!!!!!!?????????!!!!!!!!!???????? DONT HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!!

We had a great experience with Scottys plumbing! Our upstairs shower was leaking into our downstairs kitchen so we called bear valley plumbing and Scottys, bvp never got back to us and thankfully they didn't because Jo from Scottys plumbing came out right away and took care of the problem. He showed me what was wrong and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Will definitely call again for future plumbing/heating needs

Scotty is dishonest, cuts corners, does not finish work started, and has no problem using extortion tactics to get money from you for incomplete work. Scotty's plumbing was contacted by John Corey from Boulder Bay Real estate to detect a possible leak in our cabin while we were out of town. I asked multiple times for a bid for repair and was given the blow off by Scotty. The next thing I hear, is that the job had been completed much to my surprise! The bill was over double of others bids for the same work, and he did not repair the driveway that he cut to install water line. Not only that, but he never bid the job as required under his license, never called USA (underground service assessment) never pulled a city permit, as required, and threatened to place a Lien in escrow to get paid. John Corey is in cahoots with this guy and worked against us on this as well. NEVER use either of these people as they are as crooked as the mountain road used to drive up to BB. Ca Contractors License board is after him as well as the Board of Realtors for John Corey.

So, my mother in law had them come out and for a water heater issue on her 2016 Trailer. They replaced the water heater and obviously did something wrong causing another issue. Instead of fixing the problem, they cut a hole on the bottom protective cover. He told my mother in law that there maybe some water build up from changing out the heater and he cut the hole to let water drain. Mind you, this has been a few months and it was still leaking. She called them to come check out the problem and they never responded. I moved the trailer for her and water just poured out of the hole they cut. It is more than obvious they did something wrong, and instead of fixing the issue, they cut the hole for water to drain. Say what you will, but when an elderly lady is on a fixed income, you would think people would take the extra mile. Pissed as they may get by this review, I really don't care.

Scotty is always courteous and businesslike. When my furnace went out, he did a thorough job of replacing the unit but also checked and found several metal parts were rusted through and replaced them at the same time. I appreciated how quickly the men were able to complete the job and how they cleaned up before they left. Would definitely recommend Scotty's to anyone needing plumbing or heating assistance.

The first time I used Scotty's Plumbing was in 1990 with a complete gut down to the studs and complete total replumb job it turned out perfectly
Since that time he has done repairs fixed furnaces and solved a very complicated problem on a government lease cabin that I recently purchased I give him my highest recommendation for professionalism and honesty

This plumbing company will gouge, especially if they know you are against the wall as in a plugged sewer line. They will tell you that the minimum charge of $360 (quoted upon arrival, not over the phone), may be more like $500-$600 when they are done running a snake down your sewer pipe. This tactic is employed so that when the bill is outrageously high, they can say you were warned. This charge they say is necessary because Scottys Plumbing has expensive tools involved in their craft as if other plumbers dont have them. I am a general contractor. I have plumbers where I live as friends. All these excuses about expensive tools are designed to stick it to the unknowing public and total B.S. Adding insult to injury I was told by Scotty to ""call a plumber I know down the hill, hahaha."" I got the work done for half the price by another local service. A fair price. Call around. Do not use these people.

A great shoutout to an amazing company. While visiting up in Big Bear we found a leak under the cabin. Of course it's a weekend, but having used this company a year before, we were hoping they could help again. Called early and Joe, one of the friendliest and helpful guys, answered. YES he could come by as soon as he finished a few other jobs!! What a great guy. Can't say enough for the happy attitude and helpfulness. He did an awesome job quickly, while underneath he found another problem and took care of everything. Reasonable cost too! I wish there were more like him down the mountain!

Doing business is easy when things go well... However I strongly believe that the true integrity of an enterprise comes through via challenges.
We bought a home that we later learned had serious mainline issues including heavy tree roots and clogging. Not only did the complex nature of our issues create unexpected difficulties, but while repairs progressed Scotties also experienced major equipment failure... Not a fun scenario for any business.
However throughout it all they remained professional, trustworthy, and kind.
They worked with us to resolve all of our issues and ensured that we were satisfied with every aspect of a very difficult job. It doesn't get any better than this folks...

Just excellent service and quality work from Scotty's. Had a furnace replaced about 10 years ago...great job then...and now needed an outside faucet replaced and furnace service. The repairman, Joe was so helpful and thorough...got the job done...replaced old faucet with a quality faucet. Oiled the furnance fan ( no squeal). Also checked and replaced our filters. All done at a reasonable cost!
