Scottys was hired by the neighbors house to replace the doublecheck and new pipe up to the backflow. Except they did the work at the wrong house, and not only that buy it wasnt done correctly and sprayed everywhere. So they were informed they did indeed do the work at the wrong house. Rather then coming and fixing their shotty work. They said your welcome for the new parts and no we will not be fixing it. If thats how they wanna run buisness then they shouldn't be one. Be an adult own up to your mistskes and make it right. 0 star review

They are dishonest! They quoted based on the number of zones, but then charged for faucets too stating that ""spigots are equivalent to zones"". And the one faucet in question, I opened myself, so the technician didn't do any actual work.

1=0 Star Review for Scott's Backflow Service
I had a terrible experience with Scott's Backflow Service (6848 N. Government Way, 208-818-7838). After receiving a letter from the water district instructing us to check our backflow device, I called Scott's Backflow Service. A female representative took my address and set an appointment. I explained that I didn't know if we had a backflow device, but if we did, I needed it tested. At no point was I informed about a trip charge for the technician's visit.
On June 19, the technician arrived, but he couldn't locate a backflow valve. He mentioned that he would send a quote for installing one and left. That was the last I heard from them until today when I received a text message with a $50 bill for a trip charge. I called the office and explained that I had never been informed about this charge. The female representative admitted they don't normally inform customers about the trip charge but insisted that the bill was due because it's customary to charge a trip fee even if no work is done.
I disagreed and argued that I should have been informed about the trip charge upfront. I could have asked my plumber to check for a backflow device if I had known. She said she would talk to the administration and get back to me. Later, she called back and said there was nothing they could do. If we have them install a backflow device, they'll deduct the $50 charge from the bill; otherwise, I need to pay the $50. She mentioned she spoke with Jason Scott, the owner.
This practice is completely unfair. I don't want this to affect my credit, so I'll pay the $50, but I felt compelled to leave this negative review.
It's worth noting that they already have a negative review on the BBB website over a similar $50 charge.

Go onto Google reviews and look at the 1 stars...my experience is not unique. I was never quoted a price and as I said, if shoddy work is done, I'm not inviting someone back.
I requested a spring sprinkler start up for my in-ground system. This company was recommended to me by my water feature contractor who used to do my start up.
Not only did they move the appointment on me last minute, the technician also showed up outside of the appointment time. I had an appointment I had to leave for, so was not there when he finished the job. When I came home the sprinklers were not adjusted for proper coverage, and there was an obvious split in one of the lines where the water was bubbling up from the pipe.
I lost faith in him heir ability to do the job correctly, so hired someone else to do the fix. They never invoiced me, had written my number down wrong, and just yesterday received an invoice with a late fee. I contacted them to voice my displeasure and all they did was take off the late fee. $96 I will never get back, and overall a very unpleasant experience. The office employee was very nice but her GM would not negotiate a lower payment.
