Very professional, kept me informed every step of the way. What we thought was a small problem turned out to be much more. For what ended up needing to be done, the cost was very reasonable.
Tony and co workers were just great!

called for a plumbing emergency...toilet backing up into shower. Told it would be 2 1/2 weeks until they could sent someone out....not my idea of service.

I had an electric water heater not heating water.
My experience with Scott's Plumbing causes me to now very much regret not googling the problem first.
They charged $400 to:
- call tech support
- drain the water heater
- replace the element
This took them 4 hours to do. I'm not entirely certain how it took that long, but it did.
Of course, the problem happened again, two weeks later.
I've figured out the short term solution for myself (push the reset button), but not yet figured out the root cause yet.
I don't mind paying $400 for expertise, but I do not feel any expertise was provided for that fee, based on what was done.
I will not be doing business with them again, and strongly recommend others avoid Scott's as well.

I had major issues a few years back, and Scott's Plumbing could not have been better to work with. My issue was with the sewer drainage backing up into my washing machine, which was below the line. They came over, tried a bunch of different ways to diagnose the issue (including utilizing a small camera), figured out what was wrong. They spent an inordinate amount of time at my house to make sure how to best fix the problem, which was greatly appreciate. They literally looked at all angles. They then scheduled a time to come fix it within a few days (more on my schedule than their's), and got it knocked out in no time.
The cost was actually appropriate, and they were great to work with on that end. Because they worked hard to find the problem, and figure out the best solve, I was worried about the overall cost. But the manager told me that they wanted to make sure I was taken care of, and even knocked some off the top.
Here's the best part, I've recommended them to others for years. Every single one has come back with a super positive experience. Both in what they did to fix the issue, and, more importantly, made mention that they have great customer service.

Scotts Plumbing came out to our house exactly at scheduled time and date as agreed in order to repair a stopped up sink and leaking pipes down in our crawl space. They found some poor workmanship from previous plumbers installation and fixed it better than it was originally.
During the cleanup process, some food and water leaked out in the crawl space and created a bad odor. They promptly attempted to clean up the leakage with a wet vac but it kept sucking up the vapor barrier and clogging the wet vac. They pulled the vapor barrier out and replaced it with a new one. I was very impressed with their service and repairs and would highly recommend them to anyone in the Knoxville area. P.S.- They also came out on a previous repair on an emergency basis (during weekend hours) for my wife when I was out of town and I owe them many kudos' for their prompt response and professional service. We will only call Scotts Plumbing from now on for our plumbing needs.

I have no idea how good they are because they never showed up. I called on a Friday and they made an appt for Wednesday. I knew this was a long time to wait, but wanted quality service. When they no-showed on Wednesday, they said I was never on the appt list. I even called two days before to confirm. They must take there appts on post-its.

Service crew was hired from Scotts to fix plumbing throughout home- Home had been rented and leak in upstairs bathroom - Instructed Service personal to check all plumbing, and especially toilets for leaking or running from valve adjustment- On move in date- upstairs toilet still running- Phoned Scotts back ( I personally talked to the plumber on the phone and reminded him to do all these things, as he assured me he would) Office personal rude, and said that they would not charge service charge but 80.00 an hour to look at the toilet that supposedly fixed before. What else was not fixed or fixed properly? I would not recommend this company due to lack of customer service, and the fact they do not stand behind their work or listen. Difficult sometimes for repairmen to take directions from women, but easy to get them to take your money for a job unfinished.

We have done business with Scott's Plumbing for around 5 years. We own 8 rental houses in Knoxville including 3 primary residences during that period. We have called Scott's primarily for all of our needs. Scott's came out last Fall on a ""slow drain, backing up into bathtub"" call at one of our rental houses. We never received a call from them but they subcontracted a company to come out and high power flush out the pipe. We received a bill for $1300 never having approved the work. After a couple of mail exchanges back and forth, e reluctantly paid the bill because we had done work with them in the past and wanted to keep the business relationship open. We have had this issue before and in this case, our chosen fix would have been to replace the line knowing the age of the house. $1300 would have paid for most of a new line A few months later, we have now received the same complaint at the same location and upon calling Scott's, (we asked to negotiate a cost because of improper work previously) the owner of the company called and told us he didn't owe us anything. His company did unapproved work through a company we have never talked to. All we asked him was that he work with us on the price since it was not the right fix the first time. He went on to tell us that this was what we get when we buy junk houses and don't take care of them. I was appalled. We have had them in our personal home designing bathrooms, working on plumbing etc. We always fix our rental houses through them and haven't ever once complained about a price. The one time we disputed a bill that WE PAID, Scott insulted us saying he didn't do free work. We never asked for free work. We asked for a middle ground resolution since we had already paid for them to do the wrong work previously. This is not the company/people that we started doing business with. Beware.
We have done $10-$20,000 of business with them and referred them to countless friends personally, on facebook and talked them up because we believed in them. The saddest part is that all Scott really had to do was say ""Hey man, we screwed up. We should have called you"" and that would have gone a long way. Insulting us instead of a little humility was the wrong move

They have no idea what they're doing. They came out to my house 3 times for the same issue. Why couldn't they fix it the first time??? Now I'm actively searching for a new plumber to come fix my problem. I can't use my shower, sinks, dishwasher, washer..... :(

A disappointed customer. I had them come out because there was a strong and persistent smell from my kitchen sink and garbage disposal. I had done everything as far as cleaning/sanitizing the sink, disposal and dishwasher. The plumber who came out specifically told me he could not find anything wrong with the plumbing and specifically mentioned the studor valve. He then cleaned out the disposal really well and gave me suggestions, all of which I had tired. The smell continued and finally I asked for a plumber suggestion from the company that built my house. That plumber came out and within 5 minutes determined the studor valve needed to be replaced. Since replacing the valve, the horrible odor has gone away completely. My question is why did Scott's Plumbing tell me the studor valve was fine when that obviously was not correct? It would've saved me some money.
