My first experience with Scottco was a hot water tank installation. He did a great job for a fair price. He beat two other quotes I got. The installation was 3 months ago and it has worked great. My second experience was tonight. Before I get back to Scottco, here's what happened: I came home Monday after work to a clogged main line...the whole house was backed up. I called Rescue Rooter because they had an $88 drain cleaning special. The guy spent about 40 min trying to snake out the clog. Another guy from RR came and put a camera in. To make a long story short, they diagnosed that I had a broken spot in my pipe that dirt and rocks had gotten into. They quoted me $5400 to dig up my yard and fix my ""broken pipe"". Scottco was my second opinion. He shook his head and guessed Rescue Rooter didn't know what they were talking about. He was right. Scott used his high pressure water jet cleaner and literally fixed my back up in 10 min. Water was free flowing! He put the camera down and inspected the pipe which was fine. The issue turned out to be a bundle of roots where the PVC connected to the old concrete pipe from the city sewer. He fixed in 10 min what Rescue Rooted couldn't plus they wanted $5400 for what would have been an unnecessary repair. From now on Scott will be my go-to plumber. If you live in an older house you need a go-to plumber that you can trust. I will be calling him from now on.

So I wrote a review of Scottco Plumbing in May of 2015. Yelp decided the review was one of 43 ""not recommended."" That bothers me (actually, it pisses me off) because it suggests my review was somehow bogus. It was not. I hired Scottco to deal with a leak in my kitchen drain and to install a faucet. They responded to my call the same day, did great work, and they charged me a reasonable price -- I'd hire them again in a minute. Don't know if this will get buried again by Yelp but I recommend these guys.

Amazing service!! I called Sunday morning and someone came out within 2 hours. He explained the problem and what needed to be done to resolve the issue. The job was completed timely, and there was no additional charge although the job was more complicated than anticipated. I would definitely recommend this company to a friend.

I just moved into my house in Tacoma, and sure enough my sewer pipe failed. Scott was ""johnny on the spot"" with his initial analysis. Not only did he work with me to resolve my problem, he installed a clean out so that if any future problems arise it will be easier to take care of. Even though Scott charges way less than others, I didn't have all the money, since I am a new homeowner, he was willing to split payments for me. If all businesses operated with this level of professionalism and willingness to make the customer happy, we would be better off,

Wow. Seldom am I so impressed. Disappointed by all the folks who advertise ""24 hr service"", then told me they don't work Sundays. Scott came right out. VERY professional, fast & knowledgeable. He has my gratitude. Extremely reasonable prices. Any plumbing needs - I now know who to call in this area. Thanks Scott!!

Clean, Fast & Reasonable!

We have a Craftsman with 90 yr old pipes. Our sewer line has been balky for the last decade with frequent back ups and all sorts of unpleasantness (always on holidays!). Finally we faced the grim reality: the sewer line needs replacing. We called three plumbing companies who gave quotes ranging from 17K to 25K. Needless to say we were very depressed and resigned to the staggering price of replacement and eating nothing but ramen for the rest of our born days.

A contractor friend recommended we call Scott at Scottco. Within an hour Scott & Matt appeared on the scene. They worked up a plan of attack: Install a clean out mid-way through our 175' (!) sewer line, then auger and jet the line. They camera-ed the line probably three times. Our sewer is now functioning better than it has in years. A 20,000 replacement became a 2,000 repair. Plus suggestions on continued maintenance and upkeep.

I am so happy. In the end, it was a very basic fix. But Scottco was the only company who had the wisdom to try the simple, logical solution first.

Guy came out to look at my water pressure valve took about two hours for total job... To change the valve. Charged $450!!! My doctor is jealous.

Woke up this morning to a stopped up kitchen sink. Took apart the trap and it was clear. Beyond my skills at this point. Called 2 local plumbers at 8 am.....both said ""tomorrow maybe"" Called Scott and he said I will be there by 4 pm. @ 3:59 my doorbell rang. One hour later Scott had my drain snaked out and my undersink plumbing rebuilt much better than it was. He also fixed my toilet gratis (bowl was not filling all the way) after asking to use my bathroom. Clean cut, professional manner, honest price and some good ongoing advise for my 50 year old pipes. I would make this a 5 star but I don't want it to get filtered/buried. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED~!.

These guys were highly skilled experts, efficient, and fast! They did not care one bit about having to crawl under the house to get my job done right.
They were very friendly and most of all, honest about the price. Scott made sure I understood the charges before he left and we were all happy with the outcome.

Today was the third time I have used Scottco for three different jobs. Every time they have been prompt and professional. The work was done right and on bid. I will use them again and will refer them to friends. Very affordable and that's saying something for a plumbing issue.
