Lucas Schoonover, the founder's son, now leads the company. Lucas has more than 15 years of experience in the plumbing field.

They were called out and didn't do anything. After calling the admin said they'd talk to the owner about waiving the charge. We got no follow up until we were sent to collections magically. For $75.00 which is ridiculous. Communicate with your customers when they have an issue with the lack of service you provide.

2022 Update: Will not use this company again. Had to leave messages over several days to get someone to come out. They showed up late to try to clear the main line and scope it. Told me to sign the paperwork (normal, been doing it for years) and THEN told me they could come back when the line was fixed?? They told me they couldn't clear it and all that was needed was a signature. They did NOT tell my they would charge me over $300. They didn't tell me they couldn't clear the line, they ran a locator (didn't ask for) and charged me for it, and then didn't even scope it like I asked. Called to explain the situation and the person on the phone was very rude. Not sure what happened to this once great service.

We have had the best service from Schoonover! It sounds funny to say your experience with a sewer company was a really great one (because sewer problems), but these guys are awesome!

They helped us with our problem so promptly, they worked diligently to find a solution, and they followed up to make sure everything went smoothly.

They arrived within their estimated windows every time, and they communicated with us in detail throughout the project.

We would definitely call on Schoonover again. The friendly and hard-working people that helped us were Matt and James. Very grateful!

Our landlord called them because our bathtub was draining slowly. Not only did they not fix it, they actually broke it more. They left a piece of metal in the drain and the trap was damaged so badly that in a few hours water started coming down into the ceiling below the tub to the point where there was literally a hole in the ceiling beneath the drain. Basically, they showed up, made everything worse, shrugged, and left.

They advertise 24 hour service. Waited over 8 hours for a callback. On my 3rd attempt to get ahold of someone (at noon the next day) i finally did. The guy i talked to was rude and dismissive. Total lack of professionalism

Lucas the owner is a pleasure to speak to and is very informative and courteous. He followed up with me after there was some confusion on what we actually needed to get our sewer pipe cleaned (a proper clean-out valve). Fortunately, the plumbing company found one on the exterior of our home, so we were able to get lightning quick service once I called back to request a clean-out of our sewer line, which hadn't been treated in a long time.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the day after the service, I went to go rearrange the rocks around the clean-out valve and had to pick up a whole bunch of debris (old tampons) they pulled from the line and left on the rocks by the driveway. It's odd to me that they didn't take the extra five minutes to do a survey of the small area and clean it up, or at least tell me that I would have to do this. It's not something a homeowner wants laying around. The technicians were polite and informative throughout, despite this.

I wish I could give this place zero stars! I literally had human feces pumping into my backyard. I called them and they said a technician would call us and get back to us as soon as possible. 4 hours later, I called back and they said the same thing again. 8 hours later, nothing. 10 hours later, nothing. After 12 hours I realized that they weren't coming and they were not even professional enough to call us and let us know. This is the worst customer service I have ever had to partially deal with. This was an emergency situation and they couldn't even be bothered to give us a call to at least say we are booked up and can't help you. I don't even know how they are in business?! I called Roto- Rooter and within hours I had an appointment date and time frame!

I realize it is difficult to actually review their service when you contact them, speak with them and they never show at the time/day - never contact you and completely disregard you. Perhaps my job was too small, perhaps the man on the phone I spoke with just didnt want the job. Nevertheless, I apologize for not being able to offer you readers an eval of their service - only of their responsiveness to following thru with their appointment.
