I realize it is difficult to actually review their service when you contact them, speak with them and they never show at the time/day - never contact you and completely disregard you. Perhaps my job was too small, perhaps the man on the phone I spoke with just didnt want the job. Nevertheless, I apologize for not being able to offer you readers an eval of their service - only of their responsiveness to following thru with their appointment.

Our basement drain started backing up with every load of clothes we washed. We called several places on Friday, November 22. Since this was the day after Thanksgiving, holiday rates were being quoted. We called Schoonover who couldn't come out until Monday morning but explained the process and their rates over the phone. Fast forward to Monday- they were on time, efficient and 10 times more reasonable than the others we called on Friday for a Monday service. They were in and out in less than 20 minutes. The problem was fixed with suggestions given as to how to prevent the issue from happening again. They did not try to sign us up for a monthly contract or look for ""other"" problems. It's great to know there are still successful businesses with honest employees doing the job.

The last thing you want to deal with on a cold Saturday night is a clogged sewer line. But that's where we found ourselves. Brandon from Schoonover, however made the situation bearable. He came out quickly and was informed, professional, and concerned. We ended up needing to have a clean out installed outside so the line could be cleaned further from our old house and Schoonover helped us identify a good plumber and in talking to the City.

Brandon even texted later to check up on us when he came on his next shift.

I described our drain problem over the phone and was told that they would need to look at it. They didn't say what their fee to look at it was or that they charge an extra fee of $40 to drive from Mahomet to Farmer City.
When they came out they did a quick walk around our property and talked to me for five minutes and said they didn't think they could help and gave me a name of someone else.
I received the bill today in an UNSEALED envelope for $85 for five minutes and they couldn't even write the name and number of the person recommended on the bill.

Had a clogged sink this morning tried everything.Called Schoonover and they sent Jake out. Nice young man pleasant and he had the sink draining in just a few minutes. Definitely will call them again for our plumbing repairs.

I researched and read all reviews on plumbers in the CU area, and even tried to contact a plumber from Homer (3 messeges- no call back) I chose Schooonover and was very happy with the service. I was promptly called back to schedule an appointment, ( for the next morning), they came out within the time frame they said they would, and they were under estimate. They fixed my 2 clogged pipes within 20minutes. Both workers were very polite and helpful. I would recommend. I will use them again!
