The short version: Mike was great!

The longer version: we experienced a total blockage with all bathroom fixtures backing up (toilet, shower and sink). Mike was super responsive - called me back within 15 minutes and was at our house 30 minutes after that.

It took him less than an hour to set up and clear the blockage caused by grandma flushing a couple ""flushable"" wipes down the toilet. Old pipes apparently just need the whisper of an excuse to clog.

Nothing funnier than your plumber bringing incriminating evidence against grandma!

I had a great experience with Schneider plumbing. Another company came first to attempt to clear a clogged drain. They could not get it cleared and recommended ripping out the stucco on the outside of my house to replace the drain pipe at a cost of $10K! Luckily I got Mike to come out later that afternoon. With his hard work and persistence he was able to successfully snake the drain! Prompt timing, fair price and honest business dealing. I would recommend Schneider Plumbing to anyone in the South Bay and I definitely know who I will call with another plumbing problem.

I am very lucky to have met Mike Schneider in 2020 while visiting my elderly mother in Rolling Hills Estates. It was clear to me after our first interaction that Mike is extremely professional, honest and funny. And he is also an excellent plumber. Since that initial visit, he has visited my mother two additional times, for other plumbing issues, and I arranged these visits from San Francisco, where I live. He always keeps me informed of his progress, and my mother and I continue to be super happy with his work. As an example of Mike's honesty, his most recent visit required fixing my mother's water heater rather than replacing it. He suggested the fix (versus buy) route given my mother lives alone and he thought her 10 year old water heater still had a number of years of useful life. I really appreciate this honesty and knowing that he is going to take good care of my mother, even while I am at home in San Francisco. We found out for ourselves why Mike has great Yelp reviews. We discovered a leak on a Saturday, but it had stopped. He was working on other leaks that were more urgent, and rescheduled us for another day. This lets me know that if we ever are unfortunate to have an emergency gushing leak, he would try to prioritize ours over less critical issues, as well. On the arranged day, he did a wonderful job! Showed up on time, used high quality parts only available to contractors, cleaned up, and did the job efficiently. Clear, simple explanations and instructions to help his customers maintain their pipes and fixtures in good shape. Even at his expert level, he does not talk over your head, speaks to you like a real human being. Quality guy, quality work.
