Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Entire system is 3.5 years old. This is the 4th time in 9 days it has broken down and every time scaran has come to ""fix it"". First charged me $300 to ""blast out the system""...didnt work. Came back 2 more times. Didnt work. 3rd time the guy tells me I need all new vents and a new return. THEY INSTALLED IT....WHY NOW IS THIS BEING DISCOVERED?!?!

Do yourself a favor and call a company that isn't trying to cause you to go broke

I've been a customer of Scaran's for almost 9 years now. I pay close to $500 a year for a 24/7 maintenance contract on my AC/Heater with humidifier. My heater stopped working tonight, Friday around 5:30pm. I called them at 6pm and after many rings, I finally spoke to someone at an after hours answering service. They told me a technician would call me back. 3 hours later I still did not receive a call back. I called once again a little after 9pm. Many rings later the same afterhours person picked up. They told me no one was on call now. 9pm on a Friday night! I pay a maintenance contact for 24/7 support! It's time to look elsewhere!

We have used Scaran services for years for our 2 family house. We have 2 gas furnaces,hot water heater, central air for the 2nd floor and 3 ductless units for the first floor AC. Scaran services all of them. When it was time to replace the water heater and then the central AC Scaran did the job. Brandon was here today to do seasonal maintenance on the furnaces and water heater to get ready for winter. All done in a timely manner to our satisfaction. Can recommend their work

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. Needed to have them return after having a dye test performed and after questioning fee the woman on the phone was extremely nasty , unprofessional and rude. Rather pay someone else an initial service fee and start again than give them any more money

I call scaran because the company has been around forever. My dad used them and I continue to call them for service. Never had a problem. Even if you have to call them back for something, they always come through for me.

We had emergency service that needed to be done. Scaran was recommended and they arrived right away. We had to get a new boiler and hot water maker. They came in the morning and worked about 11 hours straight and even worked outside in the snow. The young men were so polite and courteous! Never asked for anything the entire day! They did an excellent job and even gave me more space for my washer and dryer. All trash was removed and left clean!! We are so grateful and will definitely use them for all our plumbing needs!!

I always call these guys when I have any issues with my HVAC system. Without a service contract they came out the same day. I appreciate that! The cost wasn't too bad. The part cost me more than the service call. That said the techs are knowledgeable, professional and skilled. The dispatcher and the service department were great also and called me to let me know the tech was on the way. Great company and will definitely use them again.

I am writing this review for a friend who asked that I help her out:

I bought a new unit for $8,000. The first week the unit broke. I told the owner that I have a medical condition and cannot be without air because I couldn't breathe. They sent a tech in the afternoon. The techs were knowledgable and considerate of my condition. After one week the unit broke again at 1 am. It got fixed by 1pm the next days. This is one week after the unit was installed. I asked the company for a price adjustment because I feel the unit is faulty. They told me that is not an option.

I feel a company in business this long should accommodate a request such as this, considering my health issues and anxiety over waiting for a tech to come out.

I'm disappointed in management.

Had a very rude and reportedly a 35 yrs technician to come and fix AC in Brooklyn. It was their office miscommunications on type of AC and that tech started blaming me and argue/dismissing the customer and told customer to buy AC at Home Depot and replace it. Please be aware of this tech very arrogant.

Honestly, we could not have chosen a better company to install our new Lennox Central AC system. After getting 5 quotes from different companies on the Island, Scaran offered us the best bang for our buck. The AC unit operates like a dream and their customer service couldn't be more responsive. I even told Anthony, the sales manager, that each time I see their turquoise colored trucks, I feel a little bit better about life. GREAT company and I highly recommend them. When you spend $12k for a system, you better choose the right people. I did.
