SBG Fireplace & Plumbing was one of two recommendations made by the La Mesa fireplace retail store to install our realfyre P 45 gas Glass Burner and American Fire Glass. We cross-referenced SBG with Yelp and used the Yelp's Quote service based on SBG's 5.0 Yelp rating. Marco the owner was quick to reply with a quote and we chose him to do the gas Glass Burner install. SBG's follow up communication was good and because it is a high demand time for all things fireplaces (cold weather) it was a two week wait. On the day of install Marco had excellent communication and was on time and prompt. Marco was thorough in his pre-install overview and my wife loved him because he was patient and answered all our questions during install. Marco also recommended painting our interior fireplace walls black and it turned out great. We definitely recommend SGB and Marco as you can trust you are getting a professional who has great knowledge on fireplaces. Compared to other quotes he is more expensive but you get what you pay for and with Marco you will get the best. We are loving our upgraded fireplace!

Wow just WOW! Sent a message and received a quick response from Marco. Diagnosed issue with my washer over the phone after ruling out several things only to find the cost to repair would exceed the value. Take it one step further, Marco made some recommendations in what appliance would be the longest lasting with the least amount of issues. Now keep in mind - he could have charged me to come out and sell me on something but nope. What a class act - stand up guy. HONEST and knowledgable!! So impressive and rare these days. Definately keeping this one for future use!

I have my own gas log fireplace and one for a rental property but I wanted them inspected because they had not been used for a very long time. Marco at SPG plumbing responded very quickly and was able to come out to both properties for service. Marco definitely goes the extra mile to explain how the fireplace works and what is needed for service. After having him service both fireplaces for a very reasonable price. I also had him check our dryer vents at our rental property. Lucky I did because the vent was very backed up with lint and could've been a serious problem. All of that was avoided because Marco alerted us and did a great job. Would not hesitate to hire him.

Our dryer broke down recently, and Marco from SBG reached out to us when we were looking up quotes for repair.
Marco was very straightforward and knowledgeable, and was the only provider we got a quote from that gave his thoughts on what the issue might be upfront, as well as a full cost estimate (rather than just a visitation/diagnostic fee).
Scheduling an appointment was quick and painless, and Marco fixed several issues our dryer had and got it working perfectly again within 1-1.5 hours.
When it came time to discuss payment, it was well within the initial range he provided - no upsells, unexpected charges/fees, or gimmicks.
He even provided us with a lot of background behind what was causing our dryer issues, as well as advice for properly maintaining our dryer going forward.

Our dryer stopped working without warning yesterday, so I came to Yelp to review businesses and I saw the option to request a quote. Little did I know I would receive a bunch of responses. Marco contacted me right away and really seemed to know his stuff. His communication, knowledge, responsiveness, and friendliness were unmatched!
