My opinions and observation about the recent work (job #3) done by Savage and Sons. I was hoping to write a 5 STAR review based on my previous two experiences with the company. That said, One can always judge a company by the way it handles problems. I do give the company a 5 STAR rating because they did follow through to resolve the problem. On the other hand, the ""First Service Tech"" they sent to do the work the first four times gets 1 STAR. A job that should have taken at most two hours was stretched out over three weeks and six Service Calls until it was resolved. The fifth /sixth and final ""Service Tech"" get 5 stars. For the annoyance that the first ""Service Tech"" cause me, they get 2 stars. Complicated? For this job, they get 3 stars. I could bore you with the details and many graphic pictures, but I won't...I respect Mr. Savage and his company too much.
In summation: If the first Service Tech would have taken the 45 minutes that he charged me for the work that he did not do, and plumbed the facet as I thought he was doing, he would not have had to keep coming back. At last, he was in a hurry to get down the road to his next job. It appears, from my experience, that the quality of the work depends on the Service Tech that they send to do the work. Bottom Line: I will use Savage and Son in the future for plumbing work, but I won't be as trusting of their selection of Service Techs"".

Called for an appointment, greeted cordially, and received an appointment quickly considering such a busy season. They called and asked if they could come early, arrived as promised, and provide clean, quick, efficient service at a fair rate. I've had to use plumbers before, but I will always call Savage and sons first from now on.

Great company. Went to the showroom looking for a new toilet and received a complete explanation of the new products available. Scheduled an install for a few days later. Robbie did the install and we are very pleased with the work. Fast, efficient and left our home with no cleanup required.

I was very disappointed with my last two interactions with this company. The plumber came out to fix my toilet, which was flushing but I had to hold it down for a few seconds to get it to completely flush, and he said he ' shortened the chain' and was out in ten minutes. The next time I went in to flush the toilet it worked but wouldn't stop running. I called them back and two days later they sent out the same plumber. He claimed no responsibility for the running toilet; he said it was because it was an old toilet and all the parts had to be replaced. He spent the next hour replacing all the parts in the toilet and handed me a huge bill. Two hours later the toilet wasn't running; it wouldn't even flush! When I called back the next morning I was transferred to a service manager who refused to listen to my complaints and said it was not the fault of Savage and Sons or the plumber who came out (twice).
I wanted to share this experience with others because I would not call them again nor could I ever recommend them to anyone.

Great company to work with, the guy in the service department who answered the phone wasn't the easiest to deal with but after we got everything scheduled it went great. Robbie did the repair and while the repair was hard to perform Robbie did a great job and was friendly the whole time. Would highly suggest this company.

The plumbers and people at the store here are great. However, the point man in the project, Dave Fricklehoff, was the least pleasant person I've dealt with in the remodeling of my house. They have a lot of great people in their company, but Dave is not meant to work with customers.

We had them install a new valve in our home. The tech left without testing it. The water pressure was obviously very low.

We phoned Savage and spoke with a supervisor. He came out to look at it, left and never contacted us back to repair this problem.

Cannot recommend them. Have to rate them as poor on technical performance ability and customer service.

My son who is a electrician referred Savage and Son to me for my plumbing needs. I contacted them with a water heater issue. One of the plumbers ""Robbie"" came out and replaced my gas hot water heater. He was very polite, knew what he was doing and did a great job. Robbie was the type of employee that is going to keep Savage and Son busy. I highly recommend Savage and Son for your plumbing needs. I want to thanks ""Robbie"" for a super job I am very satisfied with his work and work ethic.

Exceptional established company that we are very glad we selected. We interviewed 5 contractors for a two bathroom remodel in a 1950's home. There were a couple of very close contenders but the deciding factor for us was the long time family owned business with a good reputation. We had faith that they would stand by their work and reputation. Absolutely, 100% satisfied with their service and end result.
Please note, we had a mix up with a solar tube that was installed in the wrong bathroom by a third party company they contracted. Savage and Son acknowledged the error and worked to resolve the issue with that third party company. Solution, install a second solar tube in the correct location at no charge. Now, of course we are happy. But this was not our solution or demand, Dave F., our contractor worked that out for us without any intervention from us. This is what you get when you deal with a reputable company who truly cares about their customers and their reputation. Thank you Savage and Son!
