A friend recommended this company to us and they did not disappoint. From our service from Nora on the phone, to our interaction and service from Manny and Armando (Who are excellent, btw), to the prices for unclogging our sinks and bathtub and doing repair work on some of our pipes, this was an excellent experience. Just had some emergency plumbing performed by Santa Monica Plumbing. The job took a couple of days and the crew that did the work was contentious and careful, leaving the place clean at the end of each day. Marco, the lead, made sure to check-in multiple times over the course of the work. I strongly recommend this company.

EXTREMELY PROMPT AND COURTEOUS SERVICE! The gas company turned off our gas late Friday evening due to a gas leak. On Saturday, I called SM Plumbing and Heating. Marco answered my call immediately and came to my house 5 minutes later because he was in the neighborhood. He was kind, trustworthy and extremely professional! He did not charge us for our visit or his estimate. Unbelievable! You don't find businesses willing to do that and I appreciate the selfless time he spent with us on a Saturday. The work we need to have done is extensive and costly, so my husband will likely seek a second opinion from a family friend. But I am so pleased to have met Marco, a true Santa Monica local. Call him and you will not be disappointed!

Marco arrived to my house promptly after an emergency call in the rain. He was clear about all my options to repair my shower's outdated handle and was able to provide a temporary repair for a project that requires tearing the tile down. He did such a great job that he'll be the one taking on the bigger job, which I have avoided for a while mostly because I had not found the right plumbing profesional. Manny is my hero. He was so reassuring and professional but most importantly thoughtful and kind. He and Armando replaced the gas line to the stove without any hesitation, which was surprising as 2 other plumbing companies cancelled as they weren't sure if they could do it. And for the big customer service whoever is answering the phones, she is a master of making you feel like you're a friend and you will be taken care of. Thank you!!!!

Santa Monica Plumbing has great customer service and great plumbers. Manny and Armando came out a day after I called and cleared my backed up shower drain. These guys did a great job in a short amount of time Thank you Manny and Armando Very cool people also

Awesome! Manny and Armando are the best. Replaced my kitchen faucet. They are on time, fast, leave the space cleaner than when they arrived and extremely helpful. Unbelievably reasonable. They are a godsend.

I did not have a good experience with Santa Monica Plumbing & Heating.

They were very late. They gave me a two hour window. At the end of that window they called to say they were 15 minutes away. They arrived 50 minutes later. My tenant let them in, at which point I got an angry call from Marco because I (the person paying) was not on the property. I never heard of a plumber insisting on payment BEFORE starting the job. I was one block away and walked over.

They did successfully clear the drain (that's where the second star comes from). But they lost one of the screws for the drain and lied to my face that the screw could not be replaced because it was from the ""1990s"". I am the owner of the unit and had completely gutted and redone the bathroom in 2014.

I wouldn't have bothered to write this review except that one of the plumbers specifically requested a Yelp review.

First I want to say that Manny and his assistant are great. They are courteous and helpful and they get the job done. I have no gripe with the service.

My problem with this company is with their treatment of repeat customers. I have been using them for several years now and I recently had them out to do some yearly preventative work on my sinks. I was not aware that this did not include making sure that the overflow drains were working properly. When I called them back to inquire about this, their receptionist would not give me a straight answer as to whether or not there would be a charge. She kept on saying that they would have to come out to see. So...they came out to see and were not able to fix the problem. Manny called the owner (Marco) to see if there would be a charge and needless to say, there was. $100 for them to come look at something they didn't look at the first time, poke at it and tell me they couldn't fix it! I tried to reason with Marco but he insisted that because they had to come and park and look at the sink it was a $100 dollar job.

Despite being a return customer they still charged for a pointless service call. Unfortunately they seem to me more concerned about a couple of dollars than they are about loyal customers.

I'm sorry Santa Monica Plumbing, but I will be looking for someone else to service my plumbing needs.
