Jan and the team were awesome to work with! They got the job done extremely fast with what I would consider a fair price. I would definitely recommend Santa Barbara Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

Prompt service at reasonable price for a re-seating of a toilet. What a change from other company, who stood me up five times. Easy to work with, and good communication.

Needed to have a shower unclogged. It took about15 minutes. Charged $150. Usually expect to pay around $100 for a clogged drain so I wasn't super enthused about getting a bid for a larger project. Steve, however, called the next day and sent someone who seemed very knowledgeable and provided me with a very fair bid along with some great suggestions. Steve himself has exemplary customer service and really cares about the integrity of his business. When he realized that I felt overcharged for my previous call, he offered to work with me on the price which was a nice gesture. Steve and his foreman were able to change my initial impression of this business, and I would absolutely recommend them and use them in the future.

Knowledgeable, hardworking, effective, and above all, trustworthy. We returned from vacation to find 2 problems with our water heater: it was not working and there was a puddle under it. Seeing that the source of the drip seemed to be the drain fixture, we tucked a bucket under the drain fixture and called Steve. He asked some questions over the phone to judge the degree of the problem and arrived the next morning. He explained that leaks can start because the homeowner turns the tank temperature down before leaving on vacation, which we did. He noted that the tank itself was in excellent shape so it was worth addressing the drain fixture and replacing the thermocouple rather than the entire heater. He replaced the thermocouple and it fired right up. He capped the drain fixture and asked us to watch it over the next few days. After the leak stopped once it heated up, we noted that it started again very slowly from the connection behind the cap. He returned, drained the tank without flood or mess (our tank is inside the house) and replaced the entire drain fixture, all the time keeping me in the loop. Replacing a water heater is more costly than one would think, especially with the new requirements for low-NOx pollution control, so we appreciated his efforts to treat the problem conservatively. He explained WHY he took each step and mentioned having taught plumbing in Canada. Everything made sense and he treated me as though I had a brain. He also snaked our main drain all 90 feet out to the Y under the street. (We do this every 5 years or so to prevent unpleasant surprises.) He's a true professional.

Absolutely the best plumber you can call. Honest and great work. I trust Steve to give me the straight information on what's going on with the plumbing in my house and he gets the job done. No fuss no muss- I can't say enough about Steve- he's worked on my house and also rentals- very reasonable rates.

I had a faucet that was majorly stuck and needed it replaced because my previous plumber did a horrible job installing the faucet. Within 2 hours of requesting a quote Steve called me back and came out the next day and fixed it. He is very meticulous and took the time to explain what the issue was and walked me through step by step on how he was going to fix the issue. Steve is an EXCEPTIONAL PLUMBER. What sets him apart from the rest is his customer service skills. I've remodeled a few homes so I've dealt with numerous plumbers in the past and he is by far the best plumber I've ever had. Thanks Steve!

Tried Steve because my regular plumber doesn't work weekends. Very attentive and conscientious- got updates on his arrival time. Super friendly and experienced. A nice touch was a followup call to make sure all was still working well. However very expensive compared to my usual plumber, but maybe this was because it was a Saturday?

As a property manager around Santa Barbara I have used Steve for plumbing jobs not only because his
Prices are fair but because he gets the job done correctly the first time whether it's drain lines, garbage disposals or shower valves. He advises on the best possible solutions without creating a headache or inconvenience for me or my tenants. I would recommend this company to anyone without a doubt in my mind. Honest, professional, on time and most importantly gets the job done.

As a single woman, I want someone who will give me an honest appraisal of what is wrong at a price that is fair. Steven is that guy! He is on the spot when I need him, has been able to tackle any plumbing problem, and has always charged a very reasonable rate.
Personally, Steven is the type of person who is extremely pleasant, knowledgable, and attentive. I would not consider calling anyone else! I truly recommend Santa Barbara Plumbing and would like to express my gratitude for the great job they always provide.
