Really disappointed in whoever talked to my grandfather about water being outside his air conditioning unit. near the front door to my grandparent's house is a swampy patch of land and my grandfather called this company to have it sorted out. The guy he talked to said the issue had to do with the piping underground and for him to fix it, it would cost nearly $2500. So he hangs up and calls another company who says the area was marshy because of a hose that had rotted and began leaking. Stay away from this company! they prey on the elderly (and pretty much everyone else who calls according to past reviews).

I call them today for a hot water issue. All the guy did was lit the burner. For that; less than 10 minute work how much does he charge? $190. Never again will ever call them or refer them.

I used this company last week to replace a faulty ""wall valve"" on a guest bathroom toilet and spoke with John who was handling dispatch at the time. Eric, the technician did a great job. The fill valve/flush valve also needed to be replaced, but I let the company know that I would handle the repair on that. Over the weekend, I had trouble performing the repair and kept having a leak. I called Sanders Plumbing back, and John said he would get Eric back out to my house on Monday at 12:30pm and it would cost me $100. At 4:30PM today four hours after the appointment was schedule, I get a phone call back from what I presume to be the owner saying that Eric could still make it out but it would another hour from now. He also told me that John misquoted and undercharged me on the ""wall valve"" repair. I told the gentleman that I already had all of the working parts in the tank, that all I really needed done was for Eric to balance the tank because the leaks were coming from the bolts. He tried telling me the parts that I bought were not good, and we would likely have to use the parts he supplied. The internal parts were not the issue as they were working fine, but it was the bolts that were leaking and the tank itself that needed to be balanced better. He told me that he would thereby have to charge me $175. I told him not to worry about it and that I would find another company to perform the work. I've already done 95% of the work, I just needed someone to balance the tank properly. I hung up with him and spoke to another local plumbing company in the Manassas area that will come over for tomorrow afternoon and said they have no problem using the parts I have.

The way it came across was that he was trying to make up for the money he lost for his other employee under quoting me originally.Forget the fact that his employee was going to be 5 hours late and the only reason they called me is because my wife called them an hour prior. He hardly seemed apologetic for that. I'd highly recommend staying away from this company.

Sanders Plumbing came highly recommended, which I why my experience was such a disappointment.
After my basement flooded, I called Sanders Plumbing to check out the source. After 30 mins or so and unable to determine the reason the toilet flooded, the tech concluded that the cause was possibly a clog that must have eventually passed through, as he was unable to determine any real problem. To be certain he opted to replace and rebuild the toilet kit. $280 later and he was done. Since this is our basement and doesn't get much use, I noticed a few weeks later it started making sounds. I turned the water off to be safe for a few days then turned it back on only to find the basement flooded once more. When I contacted Cliff he assured me he would look into and resolve the problem. I made several attempts to get him or his tech to return and look into the issue- being assured he would do so. I eventually found another local plumber who solved the problem and told me that faulty parts were used and that the toilet kit was improperly rebuilt. I gave Mr. Sanders several opportunites to resolve the issue with no success. Upon Mr. Sanders request, I provided him a written assessment and invoice from the other plumber who finally fixed the toilet and still no response from Sanders Plumbing.
It's not my style to complain and I usually let things go- as this incident happened several months ago and by now, one would have thought Sanders Plumbing would have at least acknowledged a mistake was made and offer to rectify....as we are all human.

Just a heads up to anyone looking for reliability and accountability.

I would recommend Sanders to you because of the service they provide. Eric came on Saturday to fix the flushing system of the toilet and it did not take him more than 30 minutes.
I called Sanders the same day I experienced the problem which happened to be Saturday. Really great service and to be honest the cost is worth the service.
I will call them again if any plumbing issue in my house arises.

I called day before Thanksgiving...plumbing issue. Thought Thanksgiving was not going to be pretty! Sanders Plumbing ANSWERED their phone! The voice on the other end was PLEASANT! They had a technician in the area. They fit me in. The technician was AWESOME!!!! Thank you!
