So, I wanted a gas range to replace a 4-burner electric. I needed to get a dedicated natural gas line installed from my meter to the kitchen. I turned to yelp and did my search. I used some words such as ""gas line"" and ""under house"" with no luck. I called a couple of companies that were rated high. Criterias were that I wanted to get a permit from the city, needed the gas line to go underneath the house, solution on how the work was going to be done and how much it was going to cost. One plumber didn't even bid the job stating that it would be too much, but he did finally quote the job verbally, 1 plumber did not even show up, another gave me a ridiculous bid without even looking at the home. It takes time to interview people for this type of job, I think the term ""permit"" weeds out a lot of plumbers, as they may not possess one or possibly no one likes to work under the house. So do your homework! Another review of yelp took me to Sanctified Plumbing. I shot them an email from their website. They replied same day. A date was chosen and Charles came over within the time window agreed upon and we discussed what I needed. Charles looked at the task and gave a recommendation on how he would perform the task and estimated how long it would take. I asked him about the Foster City Permit, and he stated that he would take care of it with the inspector but someone had to be home to allow the inspector to review the gas connection in the kitchen. He would not give me a quote on the spot, but he promised it in a couple of days in which he did send via email. The solution was for a single California Approved flexible hose tied to underneath the house was appealing as I can sleep good at night that there will be no leaks over the years. As long as it will pass the city inspector review, I did not mind paying the $6 per foot hose. So I went with Sanctified plumbing. Date was set as the job was to take one day. Material availability caused a start one day later but Sanctified Plumbing immediately called me about it and it was no big deal for me. The start day went with out a hitch. Charles arrived on time and began work. He and his helper were very courteous. Charles took the time to let me know the plan and explained the parts being used and what he will be showing the city inspector. I'm the curious DIY type of person and he answered all my questions. They finished as plan and they cleaned up the kitchen where they drilled and left the worksite in the garage clean. He had set up a time to meet the City inspector about 3 days later which also had no issues. I was impressed with Charles and his team from the quoting to the finished service of adding a gas line with support for acquiring the permit was a great experience. I would definitely use Sanctified Plumbing again.

These guys are fantastic - we needed some routine work done on drains at our house (some deferred maintenance from a previous owner) and they were punctual, polite, friendly, and thorough. While here, I also mentioned a couple of other projects that I had forgotten to mention on the phone (cleaning a french drain, storm drain), and Charles and his team happily checked them out and dove in. I hope to not need more plumbing services for a while, but when I do I will call Charles again and would happily recommend him to others.

We had originally gotten our kitchen sink snaked by another company who told us that our pipe was broken. We wanted a second opinion and we had heard great things about Sanctified Plumbing. Unfortunately he came to the same conclusion that our pipe DID have a break in it. Not exactly the news you want. Charles did an awesome job though, taking extra care to seal off the area with plastic and plywood to eliminate the dust going through our house. Something that was very important to us since we have a three month old baby. Whenever I had any questions or concerns Charles took the time to talk through it with me and reassure me. You can really tell he cares about his clients. Once the pipe was fixed he realized it still wasn't draining so he snaked the pipe. By the grace of God his snake caught on to a balloon bag (a horrible DIY plumbing trick..don't do it..just called Sanctified Plumbing!) and pull it out. As he described it, it was a one in a million shot to grab that balloon bag which probably had been there for years. God is so good!! If it was possible to give him 10 stars we would. He was incredibly thorough, did an awesome job fixing our pipe, and left our kitchen clean! We hope to not have any more big plumbing issues but if we do we will be calling him. If you are looking for a company that works hard, cares about their customers, and does excellent work Sanctified Plumbing is definitely the right choice!

Found out about Charles at Sanctified Plumbing through a neighborhood email list. He is a great find! We just purchased an older home where a lot of the plumbing had been done by a previous homeowner.

Charles helped us fix what needed to be fixed while advising us about what was not standard but would work OK. I felt like he did everything I asked him to and gave me the information so I could make informed decisions about what else to repair or replace.

The work was all done on short notice and Charles really helped me get the house in order for our move in date.

I'm re-reviewing Sanctified Plumbing because my original review of them has been filtered. The irony of that is that I actually found Sanctified Plumbing by reading Yelp.

I first contacted Sanctified Plumbing for a ""nice-to-have"": extending the existing gas line from its point of entry into the kitchen, so that we could replace our two-burner electric cooktop with a much more serious gas cooktop. Soon after that job completed we had our first real 'plumbing' emergency, and Charles replaced our old water heater with a new, tankless model. He has since performed a wide range of plumbing-related projects at our house, completing his work in a timely manner that respected our budget.

I hope I don't NEED him again in a hurry, but I'd call him again in a heartbeat. [That's still true, several months later.]

Have you ever been awaken by the sound of spraying water and immediately thinking that your neighbor must be washing their car ? Hoping they are washing their car....and then suddenly realizing that its not outside, but inside....worse yet its water all over the floor and the sound keeps getting louder...closer !!! A homeowners nightmare !!!! Now what ?? Quick..get the phone book !! You have a leak...somewhere ! Whats a gal to do ?? Well, let me tell you. Or ask you first...does the sound, ""call a plumber"" inspire terror in your heart ? Have you been at the end of a receiver with an impatient, monotone, disinterested party at the other end of the line saying, ""can you please hold a moment?"" or worse, ""the office is closed ane will reopen...."" We all have..meanwhile..whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..all of the above, until I had the pleasure of being introduced to ""Sanctified Plumbing"" and young Mr. Charles Hartranft, owner, operator of this wonderful company. He wasted no time in responding to my tale of woe. He was here within 20 minutes. I was greeted by a warm, friendly face who was able to diagnose and correct the problem within the hour. It was the water heater, and dinosaur that it is, does need to be replaced eventually, but instead of telling me that I would have to spend big $$$$ to replace it, he was able to replace a part, and flush the system, thereby saving me from having to make a major purchase. Its been almost a year trouble free and I am grateful. This gentleman is the man to call for your plumbing needs. Be assured that he is skilled, prompt, reasonable and most of all honest !!! A pleasure to do business with !!!!

We canned Sanctified Plumbing when we had an emergency at home, they were fast, didnt over sell, and had excellent customer service. The job was well done, and I know that i will use them again!
