In a nutshell... the best I have ever worked with! Giovani (the owner) is a real professional and has come through for me every time. I have called on him for help four times.

Twice he helped me diagnose issues I could fix without his help and saved me hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

Most recently I had a main water line leak. I called SJDM on a Sat at 3PM and they were there within two hours. It was a big fix and would have to wait until Monday for a proper repair, but Giovani was able to go the extra mile to have a temporary fix in place so that we had water over the weekend. He expertly fixed the leak on Monday, on time and on budget.

Had them come out to check a water hammer issue when my sprinklers come on. The owner came and saw the overly complicated job the re-pipe plumbers had done when they did the installation. After testing the pressure, he suggested putting a second water pressure reduction valve (around $500-600). After I agreed to the repair, he thought about it a little more and decided to fiddle with the water pressure reduction valve going into the house. He found that the water pressure valve going into the house was maxed out...so when he turned the pressure down, it immediately made a difference! No more water hammer noise, and a savings of about $500. :)

I've used San Jose Drain and Main's services on three occasions when I've had plumbing problems at my house. The first was changing a water heater, the second was unblocking the pipe to the street, and the last was fixing a leaking pipe fitting on the water input to the house.
Their service has always been outstanding. Pricing is fair and communication is exceptional. They show up when the say the will and the work done is high quality. They are the only plumber I will call and I recommend them highly.

Lastly on the last visit Covid precautions were in place. Masks were worn and communicating the quote and the completion of work was done via text.

These guys are the best plumbers around the Bay area. They are super responsive and very good at diagnosing the root cause of the problem. We had a intermittent dripping sound coming from our walls, they were able to use a camera to look into the walls and determined the next steps on finding the issue and resolving things quickly and affordably.

On a separate occasion we had the wax ring on our toilet break, they came in 2 hors and resolved it super quickly! They saw that the toilet was wobbly and was able to shim and seal it correctly.

Would highly recommend for any of your plumbing needs!

It was tricky to turn off the bath faucet. If we did not turn it off properly, it would drip. We tolerated it for a few months and figured that SIP would not end soon so we called San Jose Drain & Main. They said it would be 3 days before someone could come. We were going to call someone else but decided that they must be good when they had so many 5-star reviews. Sam came on Saturday. It took him quite some time before he could remove the old faucet because it was all rusty. He was friendly, thorough, and patient. He cleaned up the work area well before leaving. We will definitely ask for him the next time we call San Jose Drain & Main.

Good experience overall. The man on the phone was stern (not friendly) but to the point and seemed to be a little impatient or maybe he is that way with some people or maybe based on time of the day? I couldn't tell. The field person who came out was great - friendly, thoughtful and flexible to get the job done!

Definitely keep the 5 star rating going for this business. I had a leak in my ceiling for one of the half bathrooms which was causing molds and drywall to be soft.
I reached out to San Jose Drain and Main on yelp and scheduled a visit after he gave his price for diagnosing which would count towards the repair if done by them. The quote was much more reasonable than another company I had reached out to.
Giovani himself came over (good communication over txt msgs). He was able to diagnose the issue and provide an estimate. We went ahead with his services for the same. He had to cut through the drywall(s), cut the pipe(s) and joints, use soldering to create a similar fit and shape and put it back. He even cleaned the floor area of all the debris and tapped the ceiling with plastic for the time being. Overall, spent ~ 4 hours for the job. I am glad we had him since it didn't seem like an easy task. The price in the end charged was slightly less than the range he had quoted initially.

Wish he could have done the drywall fix as well, but guess that is not his speciality. He recommended waiting for a week before calling drywall person, so that the wood is dry enough to hold.
Definitely recommend him if you have plumbing issue(s).
PS: he had his mask on the whole time (COVID-19)
