Called company out to check freon level. Company was running $49 special for AC Check. Tech first said freon level was low, than said Oh no wonder, your system uses R-22. Minutes later he stated the freon level was ok, and that R-22 is no longer available and that if the system ever leaked or lost refrigerant, I would have to get a new system because R-22 was banned and couldn't be found anywhere and was illegal to use. He than charged me $99 and left. I called another company, the tech came to my home , and added R-22 to my system that was working perfectly, for $138. I would avoid this company at all cost.

I have mixed feelings about San Antonio Air. We have used their services for a number of years and usually have fairly consistent and on-time service for a reasonable price (for maintenance work). Today (I hope) was an exception. The company called about 15 minutes into our 2 hour window (8-10AM) to say that the technician was on his way. Well... about 90 minutes later and about 1 minute shy of running out that 2 hour window, he shows up - apologizing for running late and that it was a long night. Needless to say, I had called the company several times to inquire about his whereabouts and were told the manager was getting involved. The actual work was fairly efficient -- and the technician turned out to be a decent fellow. The maintenance part of the job was reasonably priced -- but the replacement part for a burnt out UV light bulb was almost $200! I should have asked before agreeing to replace it -- so that's on me -- but really... $200 for a UV light bulb! The more I think about it the more I feel like I got robbed. I will be rethinking San Antonio Air the next time I need work done...

In December, a coil was replaced. The full amount was paid. Months later,in February, I got a bill for the full amount. I emailed, I called and I mailed a letter. There was no response to the email, the letter was returned unopened and I had to call repeatedly. Eventually, I spoke to Megan Herrera. She said it was a duplicate bill and to disregard it. She said she would handle it. I got another bill and foolishly took Megan's word. Then I got a letter from a debt collector! I called and emailed the company, many times. They will not talk to me. I would not recommend anyone do business with them. Their error could impact my credit. They have zero customer service skills. BTW, San Antonio Air Service Experts, contact me directly, instead of replying to this email asking me to contact you! I have tried to contact you over and over.

I really tried to give these guys a final chance to make things right, but it didn't happen! I Purchase a complete system from the indoor/outdoor unit an electronic air filter & additional UV light, plenum, dampers, ducts, boxes & grills, EVERYTHING but my air quality never improved! Here are some photos of damage created by their techs after their last visit on Nov 3, 2021. Paper work clearly states they found nothing wrong so they created the problem!
Stay away!!!

We have done business with San Antonio Air Service Experts for 5 yrs.
They installed our AC system with an annual maintenance & we have been very happy with the service and professionalism of the company/staff.
We recently had our water heater replaced as well.
We highly recommend their service.

I wish I could undo my decision to purchase an air conditioning unit through this company. I will start off by saying that I am a landlord to a property in San Antonio; I leased to own a unit and it does work well in the rental property.
I had the install done in May 2020, my technician did not return the proper paperwork to me, he did not file my rebates and he did not return my phone calls after several follow ups. Upon the discussion of the install, I was under the impression that I was financing the unit under a loan and not a lease. When I had asked him what my interest rate was, he gave me a percentage instead of telling me that the financing option was a lease. The technician explanation of my financing option was incorrect and should be better.
In regards to the rebates, I would follow up with the front office every 2 weeks and continue to see what the status of my rebates were. They kept telling me it was being processed etc, but I would never hear back. I always had to follow up. Almost a year later with no resolve on my rebates, the company is finally sending me a check in an amount that did not match what was originally quoted to me by the technician. The manager did not even bother calling to let me know how they were resolving my issue nor did he apologize for the lack of customer service I was being shown. I will say that they did correct the issue, but it should not have taken 11 months.
Remember the technicians are salesman and only care about you up until the sale is finalized. This company was not a pleasant experience for an out of state landlord.

Today, I had the pleasure of having San Antonio Air Maintenance Professional, Luis Rubio, service our home.
The scheduling was great. Representative advised of what was offered and when we could get scheduled. They said between 10-12 and kept us informed of when they would be there. Fortunately, for us, they were ahead of schedule and offered to come out early.
Luis presented himself, had his mask on and placed shoe wraps on to ensure he did not track mud in. While I can tell you he did his job, in this case I appreciated his above and beyond attitude.
As an example, when he found that we needed a capacitor, Luis pulled it off and went to us with the meter to show us that if was faulty. His sharing of knowledge was as specific as we wanted it to be, we asked lots of questions. He showed us the meter numbers and explained to us the functionality and what impact it could have if not fixed.
He did the job and ensured we were completely satisfied before departing.
Excellent customer service! We'll be calling them again for the future and if we're lucky we'll see Luis again.
Thanks, San Antonio Air! It is your employees that can make you or break you.

Alex is the epitome of a true professional. He is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure that I understood the issues that was going on with both of my AC units. Once he found the issues he discussed the way ahead with me and then he was able to dispatch a sales consultant ((Letty Mares)) to discuss options and pricing for new units. It was not a pressure situation but one filled with options and fair pricing. I will make my decision in the next couple of days after I do my cost analysis. Please acknowledge/reward both Alex and Letty because they are definitely the type of employees that you want at San Antonio Air. I also highly recommend San Antonio Air services to anyone that may need HVAC Services. As a veteran I'm extremely pleased to have them service our area. Call them now!! You will be just as pleased with their service as I am.

Mr. Joe Ybarra and his company charged $180 dollars for a visit that they did not confirm with us, we did not agree to, they charged more than any other company out there, and would not remove the charges. Do not work with this company because the owner will email you as opposed to calling you and throw his own technician under the bus. Not trustworthy.

Our A.C. went down about 9PM and sure enough everyone's temper started to flare up as well as the temperature inside our home. We were not able to run to w/ark or anyplace to just throw up a cheap small to get through the night "thanks Covid 19". So start calling places and get calls from South Carolina asking what was happening and our address to fix the issue. Other companies had a night service and not helpful at all. One company wanted a $179.00 service fee plus parts and labor . We got San Antonio Air and the tech was so polite and respectable it was a great pleasure dealing with Oscar !! He was in and out in about 30 minutes. Please understand they might be the cheapest but knowing Oscar doesn't setup the rates, the company does so there's no sense in shooting the messenger. We were more than understanding and grateful for.
1. His professionalism
2. His demeanor
3. Honestly, he could of been a salesman or misleading, but wasn't.
Thank you, Oscar
Sincerely
The Gonzalez Family
