I really tried to give these guys a final chance to make things right, but it didn't happen! I Purchase a complete system from the indoor/outdoor unit an electronic air filter & additional UV light, plenum, dampers, ducts, boxes & grills, EVERYTHING but my air quality never improved! Here are some photos of damage created by their techs after their last visit on Nov 3, 2021. Paper work clearly states they found nothing wrong so they created the problem!

Stay away!!!

We have done business with San Antonio Air Service Experts for 5 yrs.
They installed our AC system with an annual maintenance & we have been very happy with the service and professionalism of the company/staff.
We recently had our water heater replaced as well.
We highly recommend their service.

I wish I could undo my decision to purchase an air conditioning unit through this company. I will start off by saying that I am a landlord to a property in San Antonio; I leased to own a unit and it does work well in the rental property.

I had the install done in May 2020, my technician did not return the proper paperwork to me, he did not file my rebates and he did not return my phone calls after several follow ups. Upon the discussion of the install, I was under the impression that I was financing the unit under a loan and not a lease. When I had asked him what my interest rate was, he gave me a percentage instead of telling me that the financing option was a lease. The technician explanation of my financing option was incorrect and should be better.

In regards to the rebates, I would follow up with the front office every 2 weeks and continue to see what the status of my rebates were. They kept telling me it was being processed etc, but I would never hear back. I always had to follow up. Almost a year later with no resolve on my rebates, the company is finally sending me a check in an amount that did not match what was originally quoted to me by the technician. The manager did not even bother calling to let me know how they were resolving my issue nor did he apologize for the lack of customer service I was being shown. I will say that they did correct the issue, but it should not have taken 11 months.

Remember the technicians are salesman and only care about you up until the sale is finalized. This company was not a pleasant experience for an out of state landlord.

Today, I had the pleasure of having San Antonio Air Maintenance Professional, Luis Rubio, service our home.

The scheduling was great. Representative advised of what was offered and when we could get scheduled. They said between 10-12 and kept us informed of when they would be there. Fortunately, for us, they were ahead of schedule and offered to come out early.

Luis presented himself, had his mask on and placed shoe wraps on to ensure he did not track mud in. While I can tell you he did his job, in this case I appreciated his above and beyond attitude.

As an example, when he found that we needed a capacitor, Luis pulled it off and went to us with the meter to show us that if was faulty. His sharing of knowledge was as specific as we wanted it to be, we asked lots of questions. He showed us the meter numbers and explained to us the functionality and what impact it could have if not fixed.

He did the job and ensured we were completely satisfied before departing.

Excellent customer service! We'll be calling them again for the future and if we're lucky we'll see Luis again.

Thanks, San Antonio Air! It is your employees that can make you or break you.

Alex is the epitome of a true professional. He is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure that I understood the issues that was going on with both of my AC units. Once he found the issues he discussed the way ahead with me and then he was able to dispatch a sales consultant ((Letty Mares)) to discuss options and pricing for new units. It was not a pressure situation but one filled with options and fair pricing. I will make my decision in the next couple of days after I do my cost analysis. Please acknowledge/reward both Alex and Letty because they are definitely the type of employees that you want at San Antonio Air. I also highly recommend San Antonio Air services to anyone that may need HVAC Services. As a veteran I'm extremely pleased to have them service our area. Call them now!! You will be just as pleased with their service as I am.

Mr. Joe Ybarra and his company charged $180 dollars for a visit that they did not confirm with us, we did not agree to, they charged more than any other company out there, and would not remove the charges. Do not work with this company because the owner will email you as opposed to calling you and throw his own technician under the bus. Not trustworthy.

Our A.C. went down about 9PM and sure enough everyone's temper started to flare up as well as the temperature inside our home. We were not able to run to w/ark or anyplace to just throw up a cheap small to get through the night "thanks Covid 19". So start calling places and get calls from South Carolina asking what was happening and our address to fix the issue. Other companies had a night service and not helpful at all. One company wanted a $179.00 service fee plus parts and labor . We got San Antonio Air and the tech was so polite and respectable it was a great pleasure dealing with Oscar !! He was in and out in about 30 minutes. Please understand they might be the cheapest but knowing Oscar doesn't setup the rates, the company does so there's no sense in shooting the messenger. We were more than understanding and grateful for.
1. His professionalism
2. His demeanor
3. Honestly, he could of been a salesman or misleading, but wasn't.
Thank you, Oscar
Sincerely
The Gonzalez Family

Our AC was leaking big time. After searching through Yelp and asking around with some friends we settled on these guys. To be fair, no one recommended them, just they were the quickest to answer the phone and tell me they had a technician in the area who could come by in the next half hour (for which I was grateful).

They came as promised on time and the guy was very professional and courteous. This rating is in no way a reflection of the niceness, competency, or willingness to help of the technician.

Where they really lost points in my eyes was that they ended up charging me much more than anticipated just for diagnosing the problem. $89 trip charge, $102 diagnostic charge, and $121 to clean the drip pan/drain. I was told it was a plumbing issue and not something he could fix longterm without calling their company plumber. I would have been fine to pay the $121 for the work he did to clean the drain (as this did fix part of the problem) but I don't feel that the other fees combined with this one were worth the work that was done. Lastly, the call center rep I contacted did not clue me into any diagnostic charge (beyond the trip fee) when I asked her prior to sending the tech over.

Look, I'm a new homeowner and have been told that sometimes it's just part of the business to work in these upcharges. While the pricing policies put in place by this company earned them $300, they lost the opportunity to have an honest paying relationship with me in the future.

As a business owner, we put our trust in other companies we work with. Unfortunately, we recently had a bad experience with SA Air. Although we had entered into a twice a year maintenance contract, SA never contacted us for our second inspection, that was due in December 2019.
Not until our AC quit working and we had to contact them in March, did we see them.

When I contacted SA Air to ask why they hadn't done the 2nd inspection, I was told they had a reminder call system in place for residential clients, but nothing for Commercial clients, which I still don't understand. She said they "would have to work on that".

The tech who came out said we needed $3,600 in repairs and did not get the AC working. We then had Beyer Boys come to inspect, based on a recommendation from our Leasing Company. In a short time they had the unit up and running and we received a bill for $246, which we were happy to pay.

I canceled my contract with SA Air and have signed with Beyer Boys to maintain our unit.

BTW, I asked them to refund the service call where they did nothing and, to date, they have not. So much for Customer Service.

I had a pin hole leak in one of the refrigerant lines of my HVAC system late at night. It's an older system that runs on R22. I called these guys because they were the first to come up when I searched for 24 hour service online. The lady I spoke with on the phone was courteous and told me she's get in touch with their on call technician to get some one out. At this point there was still pressure in the line. I received a call back almost an hour later saying that the technician wouldn't be out until the next morning. Annoyed I agreed to an 8-10 timeframe and a 50$ trip fee. I then got a call from the technician who was also courteous but seemed a little out of the loop.

The next day rolled around and a service tech showed up without calling first like I had been told they would do. I have three large dogs so it was pretty annoying to have wrangle them so quickly when I was supposed to have been given a heads up. Turns out, this guy wasn't even the tech I'd spoken to the night before. He was out sick. He barely wanted to talk to me without 'Bob' present. And I thought to myself, who the heck is Bob? Aren't you supposed to be the technician?

Anyways Bob shows up and immediately tries to sell me on replacing my whole system. I have a two story house with two units and two condenser units in the attic. There was no way I was going to consider replacing them because of a pin hole leak in a copper line. He kept trying and I got even more frustrated. At one point bob walked away for a moment and I said to the technician "listen, we know what the problem is and how to fix it. I want a quote for the work and for you guys to stop wasting my time."

I went inside for a moment and came back out when they told me it would be about 400 to fix the hole and another 500 for the refrigerant. I was born at night but not last night. R22 is more expensive sure but 500$ for 5lbs?? That's insane. And 400$ to braze a pinhole is Highway Robbery. I said no thanks and gave them their 50$ and sent them on their way. They hung out in front of my house for another HALF AN HOUR. I eventually got in my car and headed out to Home Depot. When I got back they were gone. These guys were awful and I recommend any one look somewhere else because your bound to have a better, more honest and less weird experience than this circus.
