Thank you Joey Lovato for helping me today with my central air issues. You were awesome! You were very thorough- explained everything- and gave me several options to fix the issue. So nice to have great service and a friendly face when having to call someone to your home to fix a problem. I will definitely recommend you to others!

I called SameDay to have some modifications made to the copper water lines into and out of my water heater plus I needed to repair a leaking drain. I have had copper pipe repairs before. I understand the time required to do the work. Replacing the leaking drain would be fairly simple. Once the ceiling tile was lifted and the wall drywall opened up it was going to be an easy cut out and replace. I was projecting 4-5 hours of work and $35 materials. The technician came back with a project cost of $2700. I went with a smaller licensed plumber. I opened up the wall to access the drain (30 minutes), he did all the other work in under 4 hours and charged $250 total.

I scheduled an annual maintenance, but they got there and told me ""it is only an inspection"" the furnace person then said i had a crack in my Heat chamber and showed me a pic on her phone. THEN she said she would have the sales guy call me. (this is a Lennox i have taken care of and is very clean) Then she said ""wow, there is a lot of CO look at this"" and showed me her gun which i dont know when it was last callabrated and the CO levels were so high i wondered how i am not dead. So i told her I am calling the GAS CO NOW. Then she said, let me turn it on and push the air through (or something i don't understand) and miraculously the level was 0. Anyway, the gas co showed up in 10 min and she left. The gas co (SUPER AWESOME GUYS) came in, told my she left dirt on the fan, didn't clean the most basic simple things i called her to do and showed me with a camera and mirror with a flashlight inside my entire furnace there is NO CRACK and it burns CLEAN and it is perfect shape and i am SO over this company, they did the same thing 2 years ago when i used them for an AC check. I needed a new AC but really it was a 29 dollar part. SUPER SCUMMY. If you are told you have a crakced anything that is danger for CO from this company JUST CALL The gas cO. They are the only honest compared to Same Day Heating and Air.

I had them come and fix an air conditioner in the summer and after they fixed it, I read the reviews of what it typically would cost and I was way overcharged. It cost me $1100 because of some rusty coils (it should have cost about $200). In addition, I also bought an annual inspection and tune-up (which I was dumb to fall for) in the winter for my furnace and in the summer for my air conditioner; and so I had a technician come out for the tune-up on my furnace. He said I had some rust in my furnace and quoted me a price on a new furnace-$9000. I look online and top of the line is about $5,000. I had the same experience when he was quoting me on new a/c units-he said he would be about $11,000 and I looked online and it would be way less. Talk about a scare if my furnace or a/c ever goes out-hopefully, he did not screw with them so the furnace doesn't go out. South Jordan, Utah

I'm giving two stars (instead of one) only because the staff was friendly and able to come out on a Saturday for no additional charge.

Beyond that, this place is a bit of a joke. We began having problems with our furnace on Friday evening. We contacted SameDay, as they were one of the few places available to come on a Saturday with no additional charge.

We had a technician, Julio, come to look things over. We were told that the ""band aid fix"" would require an expensive part and be at least $885, possibly more. Julio identified a number of other things he suggested we also do. In the end, he was pushing a total intervention of $2,120.

That seemed steep to me and I worked with the manufacturer to locate an alternative company to come take a look. I had to wait until Monday, but the other company's technician was easily able to identify two simple issues and showed/explained to me what was happening. The furnace was up and running within 40 minutes and I was only charged $125.

I'm glad we didn't cave into the overpriced pressure. However, it still sucks I had to pay $69 for SameDay to provide an unhelpful, inaccurate diagnosis. I'd avoid their business at all costs

These people are absolutely criminal in their business practices. Quoted my 87-year old mother a price of $3,348 to repair two furnaces, charged her credit card they had on file from a previous service, and no repairs were ever performed. She called another company that came out promptly and made the necessary repairs. Their charge? $623.

Be very careful dealing with these people!

So this reference came from a friend of mine regarding a water heater issue. I called My Muddy the Plumber first and they immediately wanted to install a new water heater no questions asked as well as a water pressure regulator. I also called Black Diamond and they did the same. When I called Same Day I was expecting the same jump to conclusion people and instead he game me options. While he said a new water heater would be the final solution, he also checked my connections to find out they were plugged with sediment. He offered to replace those with new pipes at a fraction of a new water heater price. He also stated my pressure was just fine. It was nice to get an opinion from someone who wasn't trying to make a commission. It was the difference of $1,700. I'd recommend them.

Same Day Heating and Air unless there's snow, it's a Sunday and you're in Sandy as they are in American Fork, then it's Maybe Tomorrow Heating and Air. We ended up buying a new furnace from the company that WAS willing to come out on a Sunday, in the snow and for no extra charge at that. They have earned our heating and air business from now on.

We have had service from SameDay four times for different things over the last 4 years. We have had our furnace and air conditioners serviced over time, eventually had an air conditioner replaced, our furnace serviced, and now a water heater replaced. The service is very good, customer service is awesome, and pricing fair. Well done SameDay...we will continue to use your services when need be. We highly recommend this company.

My air conditioning was out, so I called SameDay. They fixed the problem surprisingly quickly in three steps involving three appointments: Diagnosis, estimate for replacement of the unit, and the actual work of removing the old unit and installing the new one. The inspection and estimate were on Saturday, the installation on Tuesday. The new unit works fine. Here are the pro's and cons.

Pro
1. Prompt inspection ($69)
2. Prompt replacement estimate ($7,627)
3. Prompt installation appointment
4. Estimated arrival times adhered to
5. New equipment worked

Con
1. Installation crew looked unusually young (one appeared to be of high school age, the other not much older), but claimed to be fully experienced.
2. They cut the power to many of the rooms in my house. My computer & Internet access were knocked out of commission for the entire 5 hours required for the A/C installation despite being on totally unrelated circuits. Was that really necessary?? Fully experienced??
3. They failed to reset all of the circuit breakers when they left. The electricity was still out in my bedroom when I went to bed that evening.
4. They forgot to give me the manufacturer's instructions for using the thermostat until I called them back as they were leaving.

Overall - I'm undecided as to whether I will use them again in the future.
