3 stars only for ease in scheduling an appointment and that the plumber arrived on time. I highly recommend to shop around if you have the time. I was looking to replace a leaky water shut off inside my townhouse and a bid to replace the water heater. I was quoted $464 for the shut off replacement and $3,147 to replace 50 gallon water heater with code upgrades. I opted to do the shut off replacement but the plumber was not comfortable turning off the outside water main citing the valves were old and he didn't want to be liable if it broke because he just completed training about liability. He recommended that he could schedule the city water people to come out and turn it off. I received a text from him a few days later saying he scheduled with the city but he adjusted his bid to approx $1,100 because the job could take several hours after he initially said it would be a one hour job. I ended up getting a referral from my neighbor to a small independent plumber. He also showed up on time, had no issues turning off the outside main and replaced the inside shut off in less than an hour for $150.00. Unfortunately he doesn't do water heaters anymore so I'm still shopping around for that.

I went to SameDay when I scheduled my first HVAC maintenance appointment after moving into a new home, and I recently signed up for a maintenance program with them. Every experience with them has been pleasant. They thoroughly answer any questions, break down all of the cost options for you, are responsive, friendly, professional, and provide timely follow-up if needed. They've also given me a heads up about what the service charge would be if a part failed and I called them rather than having them replace it upon finding an issue during service, but they don't try to push you on it. I'm a fairly new homeowner, so I can't really speak to if it's good value compared to other places, but I can say it hasn't been a bad experience and everything is running well (including the new furnace that was installed last year because the last one was 20+ years old!). My only complaint is the sharp scrap metal and hardware that was left on the ground around furnace after having work done, but I've had the same issue with other businesses in the past. Just wish they'd clean up the work site better, especially for safety!

I purchased (to my opinion a very expensive) furnace and AC unit from SameDay for my house. After the work was done, I found out that the main switch that controls the power to the furnace was miswired and completely bypassed - which makes the AC power enabled on ALL the time! To my opinion this is a VERY serious health hazard! Thank goodness I discovered that and wired it up correctly. I also have an external 120 volt humidifier that I wanted controlled by the furnace main circuit board. That was also not wired up correctly and was on and running all the time! I helped the service technician in getting that wired up properly. I also had to clean up the left over waste in my front yard after they left! I wish I got more estimates for the items I purchased!! They came back and fixed some of the problems I had.

A few years ago we got a good deal on a new furnace and air conditioning system, super high efficiency, installed, everything. Our old furnace was super old and getting finicky and parts were getting scarce. All of it from Sameday Heating. It has worked great.
So today I called Sameday Heating about a whole house humidifier, I talked with a very nice lady about getting one and having it installed. She quoted me on 2 different models. The most expensive one purchased and installed was going to be for $2372.00 and the cheaper model, purchased and installed was going to be for $1565.00.
So I looked and found the exact models I was quoted on and the more expensive model was $657.00 and the cheaper model was $123.89. Free shipping and no sales tax. I'm pretty handy so I'll just do it myself.
In my opinion this is way, way, too much for this! My opinion!

I called to schedule an appointment. They said they could come later in the week on Saturday for $29 and that would be applied to any service needed. The day of they called and told me it would be $89 as an emergency Saturday call. 1) this wasn't an emergency 2) the last making the appt chose Saturday (I told her any day) 3) that's price gauging. I not only told them to not come, but I'd use a different company.

Get a second opinion!
First off, they charge $80 for a service call. They were polite and scheduling the appointment was easy (1 star for that).
When their technician showed up, he advised me of several ""problems"".... Inducer motor, 2 pressure switches, labor, running a business is expensive... etc etc..
His quote was $850! (plus the original $80 service fee)... $930.
I told him I'll seek a second opinion before I commit to any service. For this amount of money, I should certainly shop around. He didnt seem to happy about that.
Sure enough.... the place I called for the second opinion came for FREE (they offer free 2nd opinion services).
The other company mentioned the inducer motor and pressure switches were in fact FINE and 100% operable, they did NOT need to be replaced. The only thing my furnace needed was a brief blow out and cleaning.
The second company also mentioned that when my furnace was put back together by SameDay Heating & Air, that 2 hoses were put back incorrectly, which would have prevented it from operating properly. So my thought was SameDay Heating & Air intentionally put them back wrong either out of spite, because I was persistent on getting a 2nd opinion or just plain and simple their technician didn't know what he was doing. Either way, pretty unethical on SameDay Heating & Air.
Long story short... I wont use this company again or recommend them and I will always suggest getting a 2nd opinion on stuff like this.

I had no choice but to go with the quickest company as my tenants were without hot water for 3 days. They charged $1700 later to install a new PVR and water heater that was still under warranty..
Then the Tech noticed my garbage disposal was leaking and tried to sell me on an install. He said it would be $675. Really? I installed a garbage disposal myself 1 year ago for a friend and it took 10 minutes and cost about $150 at Home depot.. Stay away from these crooks...

I'm giving them 1 star for answering the phone.
My air conditioning wasn't working and it was a Sunday night. I called around 10:00pm to set up an appointment for Monday morning. They weren't available Monday morning so we ended up scheduling for Wednesday morning. They just said a tech will call you on Wednesday a.m. and you should be our first appointment since I have to work from 12-7
Its Thursday night and no one from this company ever called me on Wednesday nor did they show up to service my A.C.
I'll start over tomorrow calling another company for help.....frustrating and very unprofessional.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO GET SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Today is Wednesday... Last Saturday I schedule a comfort specialist to come to my home... Come anytime. He can access the air conditioner situation... We knew we needed a new system... Gave me a quote on two different brands... Day and night was one brand... LENNOX was the second brain. He Gave me a sheet of paper with the seer rating And the prices. I contacted the Comfprt specialist the next day Sunday... And asked him to give me the model numbers of Lennox Systems.
He responded to my email but He did not give me the model numbers. I wrote him back and asked for the model numbers again. Again he would not give me the model numbers. We are a family of attorneys... And we are educated people we don't make any decisions without looking carefully and our options. Especially when you're spending anywhere from $6000-$12,000. Even if we weren't the educated family that we are... I would expect that the company would give the customer as much information as possible so they can make a good decision.
Today is Wednesday I have not Heard anything from same day since Sunday. This is very unprofessional. I am assuming that they look at these reviews on a regular basis. So I'm telling everyone my experience so you can be aware... You have a right to know what you're spending your money on. I should not find out the model number after the equipment has been installed. I should be able to take the model number and Research so I feel comfortable that I'm making a good purchase with the amount of money that is appropriate.
Update: today Thursday 4 days after my request for the model number the rep called me. I am assuming they read my initial posting. He Immediately began to tell me that he did not have the info I requested, at that time. BS!!! I have gone with another local company which I will review separately. A totally different experience.

SameDay Heating & Air were fantastic to work with. I have worked with them on numerous occasions ranging from a serious/dangerous issue with a furnace to electrical work on an OLD house. They have been professional and timely in every manner. Would highly recommend!
