At 14, the owner embarked on his journey in the trades. He gained knowledge the traditional way. Back then, it was typical to learn several trades and all their facets. Nowadays, most people specialize in one or two areas of a trade. Comprehensive knowledge is hard to find these days.
Carwin graduated from Solano Community College in 1978 with a degree in Drafting. He joined a well-known Custom Builder, learning about the administrative side of construction. He then took on the role of Superintendent for a Developer. In 1982, he went back to school for a degree in Electronics from Heald Institute and entered the Manufacturing Industry, where he swiftly advanced to Plant Superintendent/International Service Manager. In 1986, feeling the pull of outdoor work, he rejoined the construction trade. Starting as a General Contractor with a B license, he now holds C-36, C-42, and C-20 licenses as part of Same Day Service Plumbing, Heating & AC.

Rip off artists. I was quoted $700 to clean a sewer main. Last time I used a plumber the same service cost me $90. I ended up doing the job in 20 minutes myself after renting the plumbing snake. took me 20 minutes. Oh, and by the way, I am disabled with a back problem and cannot perform much physical work.

These guys are horrible. I would give them no stars if I could. I called them to try to clear the main drain for my mom's house. Unfortunately the only access was through the toilet. They wanted $900.00!!! Good thing I contacted another local plumber who unfortunately was not available but he said that was too expensive. Should be no more than $200.00.
To make a long story short. We ended up paying $300.00 using someone who was able to come right away. Stay away from these guys!!! They take advantage of people who are desperate.

Same Day Service Plumbing gave me an estimate of over $8500 to fix a sewer line, they lied and said they were working closely with the city, when in actuality they had been removed from the cities ""authorized"" list. They told me Re-imburement with the city program was between $300 & $900.... I got the entire sewer-line replaced with another company for the cities reimbursement amount, about $1700 + $200.
So it cost me $200 and ""Same Day"" was going to charge over $8500.
THIS COMPANY IS A RIP-OFF AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED!!

Can I give NO stars???
Not long after we first moved into our house, we smelled a gas leak. PGE said that we needed to get it fixed or be shut down. I called these guys. The ""professional"" came out and didn't even have the appropriate tools needed. He already knew what he was checking for prior to coming and couldn't even manage bringing the tools (by the way, all he needed was a spray bottle with soap in it to spray on the lines to see where they leaked!).
I gave him his ""tool"" of trade and he proceeded to spray, tighten and come back with his verdict...I need to let them tear down my walls in order to find the.leak and oh yes, it's going to cost me thousands of dollars-not even including the cost of putting my walls back together! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Because I was on a deadline with PGE (gas leak ya know), I made the appointment with intentions of cancelling if at all possible.
Funniest thing about the whole thing? The dummy fixed the leak and he didn't even know it. I noticed after he left that the smell was gone. While he was busy tightening all the hoses, he fixed it. HAHAHA! I called PGE, they confirmed and I cancelled my appointment with these HIGHLY INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!

We had them come out to our home because two of our toilets developed a leaking sound. They did a ""minor rebuild"" on each toilet for a $898.34 + tax!
They gave us ""a discounted rate"" so the final bill was $642.62!
I think we could have purchased two brand new toilets for that!
Moral of the story... never leave your husband home to deal with situations like this! I would have said, ""NO, thanks""!
Thanks honey, I am happy you put a stop to the leaking/water waste.

I'll just say this. $937.03 to fix a leaky bathtub faucet and a continuously running toilet. Really? I think I can probably have a new toilet and new bathtub installed for this price. They are freakin' outrageous with their pricing. I paid the $49.95 fee and send them on their way. Maybe it's good to try a free-estimate company so you don't waste money on overpriced services.

I had a very good experience with Same Day Service Plumbing. The plumber was experienced, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He notified us of a problem he had been called out to inspect previously but had not been corrected, so we were able to address it before it became more serious. They are very professional and I would not hesitate to call them again.

Same DAY Service Plumbing was the worst company I've ever dealt with in my 51 year life. They came out to my rental house to look at a water leak. Because I was not there and dealing with them over the phone, I guess they thought they could rip me off. The guy told me they could fix it for $1,200 and he would need to come back the next day with a helper. I asked him how long it would take and he said that they don't charge by the hour but by the type of job. That should have been my warning. I pushed him to commit to how much time it would take to fix it and he said it would take the two guys all day. I figured two guys, 8 hours each, 16 hours total, that works out to $75 per hour for professional labor, which I felt was fair. I didn't want to put my tenants out any longer, so I gave them the go ahead and my credit card number to charge it to. When they came the next day, the 2 guys were there for 1.5 hours to fix the problem. When I told them I wanted my bill adjusted, they said no, because they charge by the job not the hour. Give me a break, that is $400 an hour, my attorney only charges $250 per hour. I got a run around by everyone at their office for weeks. I finally got a hold of the owner, Carlin, and he was reluctant to do anything until I threatened to lodge complaints with the contractors association and the better business. I told him I wanted half my money back. I should have stopped payment on the credit card but I tried to be fair and work it out with them. Carlin said he would think about it and call me. He never called me back, I had to call him again. He said he sent me a check for $369 back. I basically paid $831 for a 3 hour repair, $277 per hour. He gave me enough back to not make it worth pushing it any longer but I was still very unhappy. I ended up having to hire another local plumber to repair their fix, which failed 3 months later. He charged me $70 per hour for 2 hours work and $35 in materials, for $175 total. I would not recommend Same Day Plumbing Service to anyone.

When i called up they were very nice. The plumber who came out was nice. Supposed to clean outside drain, but could only do about 10 feet back away from the house, could not go the 30 feet toward the house.
When quoted the price for the original clean out $350. Ended up paying $350 for 10 feet of clean up. When I called the office to check on this, office person was very abrupt. Problem still existed called another plumber, Did the other portion for $125.

I thought the cost for just replacing the soap dispenser in the kitchen sink with a metal cap so water wouldn't leak under the sink was OUTRAGEOUS !! THEY CHARGED ME $180.00.
