Now I understand what is meant by ""exceeds expectations."" I think I first knew about Sam Russo back in March. He was booked until this first week in May, and it was well worth the wait. Mr. Russo treated my projects with the same care he would give his own home. You can tell he enjoys his craft, and he has the mind of an engineer - which you need when you have work done on your older home (we are in Curtis Park). He is a natural problem solver and is extremely bright. I will honestly say it was truly a pleasure to have Mr. Russo over to work today. I have never had such a great experience in my 20-years as a homeowner. I know who I will call when I have another project. Thank you Sam!

Sam came to my residence to assess damage to my fence caused by the last storm. Unfortunately, Sam was unable to do the job. He was honest on his assessment of the repair and I appreciated his honesty. I will consider him to do future repairs to my home, and certainly recommend him to friends and family.

Sam got back to me quickly when I reached out through yelp, and even did a little research on the issue I was trying to fix before coming over. He was able to squeeze me in a little earlier than expected, patched up a hole in our drywall quickly, then was able to give some advice on the rest of the project (which my wife and I were already planning do do ourselves) before he headed out. 100% recommended!

Will definitely use Sam again for future needs. I contacted him through Yelp about a backyard sump pump needing replacement and in less than an hour he was in contact with me. We texted a few times to hash out the details and he showed up right on time ready to do the job. This guy knows his stuff. He had all the tools, parts, glues, wrenches...everything at his disposal. He's a delightful guy to chat with and patiently answered any questions I had. Now we just need another rain storm to put this thing to a true test! Thanks again Sam :)

I am always highly skeptical of a perfect review for a person/company/organization. Not that it's ""impossible"" but did you really do that great is my thought process.

Well Sam Russo has thrown my skepticism out the window. Imagine, if you will, having your best friends dad come over to your house and just casually whirlwind through repairing everything that's broken. Then imagine that person with a beard and glasses and you have the delightfully talented Sam Russo. I'm extremely cautious of who I invite into my home to do work. So this was a venture into the wild side to invite a handyman from Yelp in. However I cannot say I regret it one bit.

Not only is Sam personable and engaging, he doesn't interact with you as though he is the all knowing technician. He goes out of his way to make sure you understand what he's doing, that he's completing the tasks to your preference and while he moves surprisingly quick he doesn't make you feel like you're wasting his time.

There's a reviewer who has posted that they've considered giving Sam one star to keep him a secret. I absolutely understand their rationale. I definitely feel like I've found a keeper and I'm honestly more than happy to squeeze into his busy schedule (which I now can absolutely understand why it's so busy!). I can't imagine even trying to look for another handyman even half as talented. Thanks for making this so easy Sam!
