Should be called SCAM mechanical. Do not use this company. When your heating/cooling system doesn't work they will blame you, and makeup stories as to why they didn't size it right. This company has gone downhill.

SAM Mechanical is AWESOME. The turn around time to schedule and appointment was within an hour. They had to reschedule, but they called in plenty of time so that I could easily reschedule my own obligations. We had an old propane water furnace that needed to be cleaned, serviced and turned on. Bill came by. He was knowledgeable, cordial, and had a fantastic disposition. He answered all the questions I had. When it came down to it our furnace needed a new coupling, and given we were the last job of the day on a Friday, he apologized and assured us that he'd be back around 9 on the following Monday. Communication, cooperation, and collaboration make SAM Mechanical a smooth, reasonably priced business to fix anything related to HVAC. I would highly recommend them.

Was looking to add AC to an existing home and got quotes from a couple of Vendors. SAM Mechanical came in, explained the process, explained where they would put the ducts, and asked me questions on what we were trying to achieve with a system. They gave us a quote that day and explained how they would protect the stairs and carpet during the install and how long it would take. They were reasonably priced and we gave them the go ahead... I have to say, they did quality work, did it in the time frame they had estimated, and everything is working fine. The staff was friendly, communicated with each other, and I could tell they'd planned the whole thing out in advance and knew who was doing what and what they needed. I have to say I was extremely impressed with them and very happy. These are guys that want to earn your trust and are willing to work for it. I would recommend them to anyone. You will be impressed and happy with them.

I could not be happier with the service i received from SAM mechanical. i live in a small cottage home in East Kingston NH. ( just moved to New England 3 years ago ) our boiler is located in a 4ft crawl space. it wasn't heating the house hotter than 65, or when the thermostat called it. 3 zones. 2 zones for the house - 1 zone for the water heater. the house would intermittently heat. the only heat we consistently had was hot water. for 3 winters we suffered. I called 6+ HVAC companies over the course of 3 years. when i would ask them for a cleaning, and service to fix the issues, 2 of them refused when they saw the boiler, leaving without doing any work, and a 3rd saying they cleaned the boiler, but they didn't address the zoning issues, and they broke the oil line, and leaked oil all over the crawl space. They said to call them in the spring to discuss replacing it. but they quoted the replacement being $10k. They all wanted to replace the boiler. and their quotes were $8-10K. mind you my house is only 1000 sq ft. nobody would consider servicing it. they even said they'd need to charge more to work in a crawl space. THEN, When i called SAM mechanical i requested a quote to replace the boiler ( simply because everyone else said it needed to be replaced ). When the owner Steve April came by, i showed him the boiler in the crawl space. He suggested instead of a new boiler, we do a full service on the boiler and bring it back to life, fixing all the issues.. something i had been asking for years, but all the other HVAC companies refused. I couldn't be happier. No sales pitches. no BS. They came, and they fixed all the issues. and i mean, there were A LOT of issues. chimney cleaning ( half full of soot, chimney replacement, chimney baffle thing, pressure gauge, vents, valves, nossle, gaskets, etc. i don't know all the lingo, but i saw it, and i understand it. I got an efficiency report. and bottom line is, i was told i have a great little boiler. great design, good efficiency, in good shape ( now ). the two guys who came on site were professional. easy to talk to, very knowledgeable. good sense of humor. i gave them two of my jars of home made apple sauce as a token of appreciation. I couldn't be happier! Steve came by the day of the work, met my wife and daughter, and assured us they'll fix everything. He wants the repeat business, the customer trust. the emergency calls, etc. until i met Steve, i did not trust any HVAC company here in NH, and I didn't have that trusted HVAC person here in NH to call in the event of an emergency.. and as you read above, i had no reason to trust anyone here yet. everyone else was a bunch of opportunists. trying to make me dish out $10K. Steve and SAM mechanical fixed my heating problems for a very affordable price. A fraction of what i was expecting to pay. Thank you Steve and SAM mechanical!!

These guys are awesome! great response, communication, price, and workmanship - they replaced my furnace and were always available, prompt, and efficient. Highly recommended!

I hired them to clean and service the furnace which they did and the technician said it was in good working condition. Not long after we had to report a gas leak because the gas valve was broke, there was no issue prior to servicing. I called SAM Mechanical and asked if they accidentally broke it, they sent someone back to replace gas valve and charged me $450 and also said I needed a new igniter board for another $400. I asked how this could happen, I had no problems until they started working on it and our home was only 9 years old. I scheduled another appointment for second repair because I was naive. We had a contractor from another company over in the meantime for separate issue and he said someone just shut off the service switch on the side of the HVAC unit so it would appear to not work and it was a common scam. When SAM Mechanical technician came back I asked if he turned off service switch, he said he did, so I asked him to turn it on and test the unit. Magically it worked. He was going to bill me for travel time and I said I would not pay for their error. I emailed office manager Brenda and never heard back.

SAM mechanical replaced my boiler and water heater- job completed in 1 day. Onetime, on budget, professional.
The cost was thousands less then a local company.

After 2 weeks they followed up to make sure everything was working properly.

I can not say enough about this company. My boiler had some serious issues that another company told me would be a 15k new system replacement or no heat in the middle of winter. Everyone at SAM is excellent to work with. They assured me they could get my system running for me in no time and for a reasonable cost. Outstanding workmanship and professionalism with these guys. They were prompt and caring. Definitely went above and beyond for our family in terms of fast scheduling and fixing our heating system. I have been recommending them to relatives, friends and neighbors and will only use them exclusively for the duration of my homeownership.

Use them and you will be very happy you did. Excellent, five stars.

These guys are great. I had a problem with my furnace, they came right out on a Sunday and got my furnace working. They came back out a few days later and fully cleaned and repaired my furnace. The service tech explained everything to me and told me all my options. You can tell that they take pride in their work. Great, honest people.
