We have used Salter many times in recent years for plumbing repairs. They are quick to respond and reliable. Recently we had to call on a Saturday night and they came quickly though they were just returning home from vacation. They are the best!

Had used Salter in the past. Actually they did the additional plumbing when our house was built. I called and scheduled a time, took off to be there, 2 and half hours from when they were to arrive the plumber called and said he would be there in thirty minutes. I couldn't wait that long so asked if we could schedule the same time next week. Once again arranged to be there, this time NO SHOW and no phone. Seriously disappointed. Not at all reliable

Once found Salter Plumbing reliable but no longer the case.
Dragged their feet on one job, for well over a week. After repeated calls, finally sent a crew that completed an unfinished job.
Next time Salter was called, the company failed to show up after claiming a plumber would come out in the next day or so. Never showed. Never called. No excuse. Found another plumber who is reliable & less expensive.
Will not again give this company my business.

Horrible professionalism. They tried to charge me for services I didn't receive and when I called to question the bill the lady answering the phone hung up on me twice.

Called and spoke to the woman who answers the phone....told her my hot water heater was leaking at my rental and asked if they fix that. She assured me they did and would send someone out. I never heard if they went out, fixed it, or what the issue was....until a week later I get an invoice for them replacing the hot water heater. Never called, never asked if I wanted to replace the hot water heater, never asked what kind of hot water heater I wanted, nothing. No communication. I called wanting to know why I got a $1200 bill for a heater I never asked for or approved. Same lady - incredibly rude - said well, what did you expect, there is no repairing a hot water heater. (Which per Lowe's and google isn't accurate.)
What I expected was customer service! Someone to call and tell me what the problem was - advise me on replacing it and leaving that choice up to me. Then, once finding yes, I am interested in replacing, offering the different options available for hot water heaters based on tank size, efficiency, tankless, etc.
When I explained that to this lady, she said they only sell 1 kind of hot water heater. (Somehow I doubt that.) She was incredibly rude and could care less about resolving the issue - finally only offering to remove the new hot water heater they installed without my permission and reinstalling our 'broken' one.
I asked if I could have a new one delivered, of my choosing after researching my options (since she didn't care to offer any insight) if they could remove the one they installed without my permission and install the one I want. She said they could. It would be a $250 cost for swapping out hot water heaters. I said, great. I will call you back once my new one is delivered.
I went online, researched and found a unit with a longer warranty for much less $ than they charged. It was delivered. They said it would be taken care of.
I called twice asking when I would get my invoice for the hot water heater swap. She told me she would get it to me via email that day. Fast forward 3 weeks later, to yesterday (my first contacting them to look at the hot water heater was June 29, 2016) and I just get the invoice - in the mail. With the $250 hot water heater install, plus $120 electric charge for a cord (what a surprise they never told me anything about this either!) and a service call of $125!
What happened to the $250 cost? I understand the cord issue (although a phone call making me aware of the issue would be courteous and actually provide customer service). But, charging me a service call for their lack of service is ridiculous.
I hope an owner or manager of some sort actually reads these reviews.
