I've used Sal's a few time over the past couple of years, excellent work and pricing for those few jobs. Sadly, I will no longer be using Sal's Plumbing. My plumbing is old, so I really do not know what to expect as far as what is causing some of the problems, so I've got to put the trust in the plumber, right? The last issue was a long time reoccurring problem over several years, that would come and go with the help of my own clearing methods. Finally I could no longer solve the problem and contacted Sal's without a hesitation. I was told that my kitchen drain needed to be re-routed to the main. In order to fix it, it meant cutting concrete across the porch leading to the concrete driveway and cutting it about 20 foot long to reach the main. Quoted $3,200.00 for the job. I about choked, who has that kind of money, my goodness. Asking why so much, all the tech would say it is a lot of work. I tried to reach Joe, to talk to him about the cost quoted and to ask why would a tech be giving a price for a job, how would he know how much to charge, but I was not able to get Joe. At the completion of the job, only the porch had been cut, about a 3' x 12"" area. And a new drain trap was sticking out of the out side of the wall, I was told, next time they needed to drain the kitchen drain all they would have to do is go through that. I still was charged $3,200.00, ouch. :(

A few months ago my kitchen sink was backed up. I messaged Joe, the owner replied and called me. I had one of his guys ready to repair my clogged sink the same day and within a few hours! I was surprised. The guy that came was very informative and helpful. He unclogged it and said that usually other parts get clogged and yep... I am in need of his services soon.

The guy finished the work in under 45 minutes and gave me some advice on maintenance but I cant remember the info he gave me.

The price was average going rate for Los Angeles which i put in about $90-120

Excellent company all around. I needed a plumber to install a new faucet and change a valve and could not have called a better company than Sal's Plumbing! The customer service a was top notch! Their pricing was much lower than I expected and the job was done perfectly! The plumber was prompt, polite and personable. He cleaned up after he finished installing my new faucet and changing out a valve. This is a great company, with exceptional service, and the best pricing.

I received a call from my rental home this morning that there is no hot water. Well, after checking around on yelp local listings I found this company with good review and they are nearby. So I made a call booked an appoint the same day in the afternoon. Lady on the phone asked about the size and type of the water heater and told me it is free to come out to inspect. Everything sound good until the plumber came out checking the water heater, he call to inform me that the pilot assembly is so complicated that the whole entire water heater needs to be replaced, at cost of a whooping $1275, and he has already replaced 3 of them today prior to our appointment. For that price I decided to get a 2nd opinion. called another local plumbing company that able to come out on the same afternoon, it took the new plumber less than 10 min to replace the thermocouple and saved me over $1000. Most importantly, now there is hot water. I give it 2 stars on this review because at least they came out for free...

Update: I had few honest email exchange with the company since the posting of this review, through that I do realize the damage and importance a review can cause to a small business. Given the amount of good review they had on yelp and acknowledgement of the mishandling from the management, and their responsiveness since the review. I do believe they deserve a good second chance. I now give them a 4 star instead of 2.

Sals plumbing was fast and the plumber Nick who came to my house was so friendly and helped us every step of the way with our plumbing issues. He has great customer service, but he also try's to work with you as a person he has a heart. He understands how stressful this can be on a family especially when it gets expensive. The work was done efficiently and Nick was there every step of the way....thank you Nick!!
