John Sallustio has to be one of the rudest business owners I have ever had to do business with. He was rude and disrespectful when I called for an appointment initially and never bothered to return my phone call to set up said appointment. Skip by this one if you need plumbing or heating services and look elsewhere.

They came on time and did not leave until they figured out exactly what the issue with my gas furnace was. Initially it seemed like a thermostat problem but something still wasn't right. I had a very negative experience with this company.

A few months ago I called them regarding a boiler replacement. Initially I was pleased as a plumber from the company came over in a timely manner assess the job and take information for an estimate.

Unfortunate things went downhill after that. I waited for nearly a week to hear back from them--our boiler wasn't functioning properly and we needed the bid quickly so we could move forward. I tried calling them 3 times--never a response. In the end I gave up and found another company to do the job.

We recently had a pipe burst in our basement--a flooding emergency. It happened later in the evening and I was calling numerous plumbers in an attempt to find someone. I called Sallustio which was a big mistake. The receptionist gave the phone to John, who immediately started berating me for calling, saying I should call the company who we chose to replace our boiler. He was extremely rude and unprofessional--making sarcastic remarks--basically telling me to shove it. I was stunned by his behavior.

I wish I could give this company zero stars--they deserve it.

Antonio & Lorenzo are great! I'd never called this company before....but when my pilot wouldn't stay lit & there was no heat in my apartment & my regular plumber was (literally) booked for days, I figured I'd give them a try. The guys got here fast. They were friendly & smart & had me set up with a new thermocouple in no time flat. (Total cost $175.) I would call them again!

During the past several months (of early winter/holiday season) John Sallustio has personally ""come to the rescue"" of the residents of our buildings in response to weekend calls. Each time he has quickly assessed and fixed our major and minor water heater and furnace breakdowns. In addition to being courteous and articulate he and his crew have been efficient and very competent in their work. As treasurer of our condo board of managers, I have complete confidence in assuring all owners and residents that we are lucky to have John Sallustio and his team as our plumber of choice!
Since I moved to this condominium in Park Slope 7 years ago I have had to deal with no less than 8 other local plumbers - none of whom I would recommend with this level of confidence.

I have relied on John Sallustio and his team for the past two years, since we moved from a new build condo with minimal maintenance into our 1899 townhouse with all kinds of weird plumbing and furnace issues. The man is an absolute treasure -- kind, reliable, reasonably priced, and usually available on short notice (and when he's not, he's absolutely clear and honest about when he can come).

He has also very kindly fixed my DIY plumbing screw ups with minimal judgment (but a bit of laughter, on both sides), and spent time teaching me about maintenance and how the mechanical systems in my own home work, which has been very helpful. John and his company are truly old school Brooklyn, in the best possible sense.
