Sagewater is an outstanding company . They just completed a very enormous and tedious pipe project at The Royal Iolani condominium and I cannot speak more highly of the incredible work they completed as well as the professionalism of their staff. With sincere thanks especially to Mr. Trey Hanson and the crew that worked in my condo !
With much gratitude,
Frances
SageWater was hired by my HOA for a repiping project. They were okay. The work was done with very cheap push/pull shut-off valves that are known for breaking, they also had to come back to match the paint on my ceiling and walls that was off, and the project was EXTREMELY expensive for what is was. I am paying my HOA triple the cost compared to 2 other bids I got for the same job. Unfortunately, that is my HOA's fault for not collecting multiple bids. But, for the cost I would expect top-notch workmanship and products. They were fairly quick to get things done in my home and the drywall patching was well done. I heard from neighbors that one unit got piped backwards and another had a leak. Luckily, that didn't happen to me.
Lani C.The project director on the Brooks Tower project in Denver, Larry Counts, is a disrespectful and poor excuse for a contractor. He has been caught out lying to and deceiving tenants and homeowners, showing absolutely no respect for people's place of residence and work, and issues unreasonable and/or illegitimate invoices for extra fees. A classic nickel-and-dimer with no values.
While most of the other SageWater workers have been pleasant and respectful, it's a shame the company has got someone like Larry as project director. There have been countless issues, delays and schedule changes under his watch, and will happily deceive someone into billing them extra for insignificant ""delays"", while also giving his entire project team a day off using weather as an excuse (hint: there was no weather).
Avoid SageWater, given they employ project directors with no integrity.
Rob M.Our approx 150-unit condo association (on Maui) needed re-plumbing for the incoming water lines. Sagewater won the bid. These people are amazing! Project Mgr Keegan Sullivan walked through our condo a few days prior to work and explained everything they were going to be doing. Plumbing team leads Manuel and Alvaro showed up at 8:00 a.m. sharp on the start date and got their team right to work. They covered the floors to prevent damage, and plastic-wrapped all areas not to be touched, to stop dust getting on things. By 4:00 p.m. they had completed their work, vacuumed and removed all evidence of being there. The county code inspector gave us the all-clear the next day. The following Monday the drywall crew, led by Alfonso, came in and it was the same thing in reverse. Covered everything, patched the dozen or so drywall cut-outs, primed, painted and by 4:00 p.m. they were gone. The following morning Gloria from Sagewater came out and spent a couple of hours dusting and cleaning so our place looked perfect. My wife noticed one minor ding in one wall, and they came out the next afternoon and fixed that. I am on the Board of Directors of a large condo association (not this one) and I have never worked with such a professional group. Sagewater was incredible.
Martha M.Our entire condo building is undergoing plumbing pipe replacement. A very invasive, noisy, dusty, and sometimes very stressful situation. Patience and flexibility required at all times by everyone!
Overall, I was happy with the work done.....2 walls completely removed to get to the pipes then dry walled and painted, toilet replaced, shower ceilings removed ,then replaced, regrouting, etc, etc.
Many different workers came and went all day for 2+ weeks. All were very professional, knowledgeable about the specific job they were doing and answered questions .
I was happy to see that Sagewater provides these men and women with jobs during these hard times.
COVID protocol strongly enforced.
Just a partial list of all the men that worked on my unit. All were very friendly and nice.

Sagewater is doing a plumbing renovation to each unit in our multiple story apartment building. The process took almost 2 weeks to complete just for my unit. But... the guys who came in each day to do their part of the work that needed to be done were efficient and professional and very thorough. On the day my dog and I had to vacate my apartment the whole day in order for them to complete the asbestos treatment process, Tracey in particular allowed me to text him to get the clearance that it was safe to return home. Tracey was friendly and personable in his quick visits each day. He came in to make sure everything was done at the level Sagewater expects, which is excellent. And he also made sure I was satisfied with the work his crew had done. Very professional team. I would definitely recommend them.
Ann C.Sagewater recently re-piped my apartment and I want to compliment Keegan Sullivan and his crews on doing such a great job. Keegan and each member of his crews have been professional and polite through every step of the process. All my concerns and questions were addressed promptly and in a professional manner, especially when I was apprehensive about having ""strangers"" in my home with my animals. Care and concern was expressed especially since the work was being done shortly after Covid-19 lockdown was lifted. The crew members were all very respectful to me, my pets and my living space. The work was done faster than I expected, the end results looked well done. I'm not a plumber but I've seen a lot of residential construction and plumbing repairs to know a good job from a bad one. (I'm in the real estate business.) The crews are hard working and deserve extra kudos!
sage water is current working on a project in a Grosvenor high rise. Which in this case seems to be way behind their schedule. They originally said in Mid December it ""should only take about a week, and that they would only have to open the convectors"". That was about 12 weeks ago, now that they finally finished. It took much longer than about a week and they made three holes in the celling. Two of which took them over 2 months to get around to closing. None of the three were done very well.
Every conversation with any of the project managers has be an excise in futility. The story and schedule changed repeatedly. They are very willing to give an extremely long technical explanation, however not the slightest bit willing to say sorry for the inconvenience, we appreciate your patience, or any acknowledgment of the difficult they are causing.
The head project manager is certain everything is so far beneath him.
When he was told that a contractor was waiting for them to finish he responded ""I know""
When he was told that ever time they've been in my unit, they've left the door unlocked. To which he couldn't even be bothered to respond.
His arrogant indifferent attitude towards customers in their home has been echoed in every conversation with other residents. At this point have not heard a single good word about him or the way he deals with the residents/customers. This should not be tolerated and is a very clear liability to this project, and sage water's reputation.
There's probably numerous other companies with people much better equipped both intellectually, and emotionally to handle the task.
Sagewater did the plumbing retrofit for Ala Wai Plaza in 2018 and 2019. While it was incredibly inconvenient to go through four weeks of no water during business hours and the noise and dust that is an inevitable byproduct of this type of job, Trey and Tracy did an incredible job in communicating early and often to residents and showed remarkable poise and patience in answering questions and concerns well before any work started.
They were also very empathetic to residents during the work and went out of their way to accommodate concerns and satisfy requests, from providing additional plastic sheeting for dust mitigation to minimizing disruption to the residents.
Problems will arise in any large renovation project and the Sagewater crew proved to be creative and effective problem solvers.
Bottom line is that these guys care and invested a lot of time communicating and were always helpful and willing to listen. They must have a very strong company culture because everyone I interacted with was outstanding. Just a great group of people.
Sage Water is doing a repiping project at Brooks Tower. This is a complete nightmare. They will trash your unit with careless demo ruining and chipping new tile, vanities, doors, bathtubs, carpet. Every homeowner had to pay and have been paying for a special assessment between $50,000 to $60,000 depending on the unit. You will have to remodel your unit after their lousy job. Perhaps they know how to do pipes, but the restoration of the bathrooms in the units leave much to be desired. The tile work looks like an amateur job, not a professional installation. Don't think if you paid 60K you are done. They will continue charing you for a soap dish or a towel left in the bathroom at $200/hour.
They will charge you for any electrical work extra at about $500 plus 25% surcharge. Just give them your checkbook and don't expect any quality for this $20 million dollar project. I would like to hear from the founders of the company Peter Page and John Ellis. Did we provide enough money to fund their living? We are broke as a result of Sage Water project.
