Had a leak in the basement this afternoon. Called Saffer plumbing and they had someone out within an hour. Miguel was professional and knowledgeable about his job. Within an hour the leak was fixed and my husband and i are very happy. Very honest and professional company.

They did a great job. I needed a washer/dryer hookup installed in a somewhat unusual spot. Another company took a look and said it couldn't be done, but Saffer was able to do some problem solving and come up with a workable plan. On the day of the job, the crew arrived and went right to work, executing the plan well. They got it done in the specified time frame and price, and so far (3 months later) the work is holding up well. The office staff was pretty easy to work with as well. It was not cheap, but good work never is.

Jason and Jack came out to trouble shoot decreased water pressure. This was the second company we called (the first ones didn't look around much and recommended we replace all of our pipes inside and out- which would have cost us thousands of dollars). Saffer came out, checked our whole house, determined it was our water filter on our main pipe, brought all our water pressure back and then some! Down the road we will eventually need pipe work, but they are working perfectly fine as of today! They were pleasant, took the time to teach and explain to us what they were seeing, and made short and long term recommendations for us. We will not hesitate to use these guys in the future, and when our pipes do eventually go, we will be happy to pay them the money for replacement!

I had them work on my house yesterday and they turned off the gas (i.e. heat) for the work. The worker forgot to get my heat working again. Was freezing last night, realized it this morning, and when I called they said they would come between 10-2. I am very disappointed. I have two children under 3 in the house and am trying to keep them warm with a space heater in one part of the house.

They said they only have one heating guy on today but it did seem like they could have called someone else in based on what the person on the telephone said.

I called and immediately got through to their staff who was very friendly and helpful. They couldn't get me in the same day but i got the the very first appointment the next morning at 7:30am. When Paul arrived he was nice, polite. A gentleman. He listened to me when i told him what the problem was,a very bad clogged drain in my tub that we tried everything to fix ourselves and couldn't do it. He quick and when it was fixed, he cleaned up the mess that had been left behind. The price i was quoted on the phone, based on what i told them the problem was, was what i paid and it was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them and if i ever have another plumbing problem they will the first ones i call.

We have used Saffer Pluming for nearly 20 years. Our house is old and has had more than a few issues over the years, but they always do an excellent job, are prompt, courteous, and fair with their pricing. We've even gotten tips for emergency, do it yourself fixes over the phone to save us the expense of an emergency service call. I never hesitate to recommend these guys and will continue to do so - Saffer is always our plumber of choice!

Paid $170 for about 3 minutes of labor that only partially fixed my problem (water leaking in the basement). No time was taken to examine what the full problem was. When I later figured out there was another source of water leaking in the basement, I had to pay an additional $150 to fix that too. I feel like I had to pay twice to fix the same problem. Nice people, but I'll just YouTube how to fix whatever plumbing problem I have next time.

Saffer Plumbing got back to me as soon as possible, owner was at my house within an hour for an estimate, gave me a good price, were courteous, and did the job right- the first time. What more can you ask for?

I had the same issue one of the previous commenters - James A. - had with Frank.

I used Saffer for a couple years and was generally happy. I had one issue pop up once - a plumber suggesting work I knew I didn't need - but it wasn't big enough to drop them as the plumber I called.

More recently, however, I had a problem arise following one of their jobs. I called to get a second appointment and was told the follow up work wasn't their responsibility. When I asked what would happen if it was determined that their work is what caused the second problem, I was transferred to Frank.

He immediately became defensive, told me I waited too long to report the problem, and generally lacked any professionalism. I calmly explained to Frank that his tone and manners were unnecessary, that I appreciated the work his company had done for me in the past, but he seemed more intent on winning the conversation.

I guess he won, but Saffer loses. I won't use them anymore and I won't recommend them anymore. It's a shame that they employ this guy at an otherwise good company.
