Improperly installed water heater. Failing after only a year despite the general life span of a water heater being 10 years. I had two other plumbers from different companies come out and tell me they should have used a brass fitting. Safe Cali refuses to take any responsibility. Run away!!

I have a home warranty program with American Home Shield and my hot water heater failed which is covered. They contracted with Safe Cali Plumbing Inc. out of San Fernando Ca. and they told me the hot water heater was covered but they had to do up grades that were not covered by AHS to install the new heater. Cali Safe Plumbing wanted over One Thousand dollars to install a expansion tank which you can buy at Lowes AO Smith part # let5 for $16.17. They are trying to rip people off to recover the money they lose by the contract with AHS. These people should be jailed for there dishonesty. Do not do business with Safe Cali Plumbing they are completely dishonest.

This company deserves zero stars. A tech was supposed to come to my house and on the day of service, he texts me that hes on his way. However, he never showed up. I had to keep calling and texting for two hours to find out he wasn't even going to come that day. the phone operator Karen apologized and said they will reschedule to another day. That day came and again they were a no show. I had to call again to find out that they weren't coming again....Karen states she made a mistake on the scheduling and that my appointment is in a week. My kitchen sink doesn't work and its been a week now. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. Unacceptable to flake on customers two days in a row.

I was assigned Cali Safe by AHS home warranty and was a little uneasy about it after reading their reviews. I even tried to get AHS to change to another plumber, but they insisted no one else was available, so I figured I'd give them a try for a complete blockage in our bath tub. Tyler came and he was very neat and efficient. He removed his shoes, laced out a drop cloth and got to work solving the problem which was 20 ft down the drain. Great work.

To Clarify - the plumber got the 5 stars for doing great work but Safe Cali Plumbing delayed the work because of parts mix-up which was not ordered and I had to reschedule my appointment the third time.

I was assigned to this plumbing company by my AHS home repair service company. For those who get assigned to this plumbing company I'll state immediately that the plumbing company plumber may want to see your exterior faucet to put screw on a pressure gauge - this is to find out what the water pressure inside the house.

Why you may ask? In my case, its because the shower diverter was leaking water though the shower head even though the shower diverter was shut off.

Thank goodness being in property management, I knew long ago to put in a water pressure regulator and a water pressure gauge so that I could see if the water pressure of the house was within the National Plumbing Standards PSI all the time. Never had a plumber ever check the. Water pressure of my residence before doing work. Very interesting - was this to deny the work order because the water pressure was too high? But my water pressure was perfect!

But the plumber had to order the part - which took another appointment - then I called prior to the Safe Cali Plumbing company to make sure that the plumber ha the part - it turned out that the part was back ordered - so we had to cancel the second appointment and then make a third appointment. The Safe Cali Plumbing never called to confirm the part was ordered or tell me that it was back ordered. I had to make all the calls to make sure that the plumber was actually coming with my part.

The plumber did a good job, especially since there was calcium on the shower diverter and it was hard to remove the shower diverter because of the calcium build up which caused the shower diverter to be very difficult to remove - but the plumber had a ""stick-with-it"" attitude! And that fact that I was there helping Ike his assistant really helped him get the job done since there is a lot of up and down movements to getting the parts and the tools in his hands. I should had a solution to help loosen the calcium build-up - so next time I'll use it - vinegar - no chemicals since I don't want it getting into the plumber's eyes - and eye protection!

The water pressure is much higher in the shower - so I'm assuming that the new shower diverter, having been replaced - how allows more water to go through the shower diverter to the shower head.

Our water heater was leaking and AHS sent out Safe Cali Plumbing. Couldn't have been happier with the service. George came out right away that day, and was able to replace the water heater in less than 24 hours. Very knowledgeable as well

This company works closely with American Home Shield and their strategy is to collect the flat fee for the service call, then get your warranty coverage denied. Safe Cali Plumbing never answers their phone - it just rings and rings and no alternative number to call for emergencies. Service repair person came out, was unwilling to go under our house to look at piping. Don't walk, RUN AWAY from this shady company.
