Owen and his team were very professional and the resulting work on my basement remodel was spot on. They rerouted our main water line, installed a new gas water heater, installed a new sump and various water & drainage connections. These guys are a perfect vendor if your looking for a small business plumber with a high level of expertise for a remodel project.

Owen and his team ran two gas lines and setup two gas firepits. Him and his team were professional and courteous and very communicative! I would definitely recommend them to friends and use their services again in the future!

We recently hired Owen and company to fix a burst hose bib on our roof. Owen responded quickly and was able to come out the same day for a free quote. He was honest and offered multiple ways to fix the problem. His team came prepared for the job so if they had to go to plan B they already had all the supplies. They answered all of our questions and were a great value. I would highly recommend Safe and Sound for your plumbing needs.

Owen and his team were top notch! They redid the plumbing in our kitchen and bath, and also added a shutoff valve for the hose. They were on time and professional. Would definitely hire again.

After calling several plumbing companies, I contacted Safe and Sound Plumbing and discussed with Owen the need to replace a sump pump in a storm drain adjacent to my townhouse. I was making the call on behalf of all 8 townhouse owners, as I explained to him. Owen gave me an estimated range for his fee over the phone after I described the job. My description was accurate. Two days later, he looked at the drain and pump and almost doubled his estimated fee. I was very surprised at the increase, but we needed to get the work done, so I agreed to pay it after checking with the other owners. Owen confirmed that he would start Monday morning. We arranged to meet at the job site first thing Monday morning, when I was going to pay him a deposit. I received a text from him 30 minutes before the meeting saying that he would need to reschedule for the afternoon. I replied, ""Ok, what time?"" I didn't hear back from him until the afternoon. That afternoon, he texted me and said he was too busy to do the job and lacked the necessary expertise. Lacked the expertise? To replace a sump pump? After looking at the job and providing a bid, and confirming he would start Monday morning? I immediately called him to try to work something out since we needed to get the job done. I left a voicemail and asked that, at a minimum, he refer me to someone who could do the job. He never called back. I texted him, and he didn't reply. I left one more voicemail the next day. No return call. What a complete and total flake.

This was the absolute worst experience we had throughout our entire basement remodel. Owen was so completely overbooked that it took him days and sometimes weeks to respond to an issue or a job that needed to be completed. We hired him through our general contractor who highly recommended him. It soon became a nightmare after we were convinced that he was fully equipped to install radiant heat throughout our newly remodeled basement. We spent a good four months without heat in our home (the project started in late summer) because Owen couldn't figure out why our heat wasn't working. Rather than getting to the root of the problem and taking the time to dissect the issue, Owen repeatedly came to our house while we were at work and told our general contractor that everything was installed correctly and it was working fine. We started to feel like we were going crazy since Own and our GC didn't seem to believe that our heat wasn't working. We would take pictures of our temp gauge and send it to them each morning when we woke up freezing. We finally had enough and called the company who Owen bought the equipment from. The technicians came out and checked our system for about $1,000 since they weren't part of the installation. Turns out Own forgot to flush the filter after the installation so no hot water could run through the pipes to heat our floors and house. They told us this is a well known piece of the installation process - everyone knows to check the filter after installing radiant heat. When we asked Own to reimburse us for the technician fee he started deducting money from the overall amount saying he did extra things for us that he hadn't changed us for! He only sent us $500 weeks later. Having two kids and spending months without heat is inexcusable. Owen had the worst customer service, follow thorough and work ethic. You couldn't pay us to work with him again or recommend him to anyone else for that matter.
