I have used a number of different plumbers in the over 30 years we have been in Hoboken. None have been more reliable or easier to deal with than S & B. They show up when they say they will, usually in a very timely fashion, and just get the job done. They have contacts for other people who can do things they can't who also answer and respond quickly. They are great at figuring out what is wrong -- not always obvious -- and coming up with a quick solution. We have had them come in the middle of winter when we were out of heat, and recently when water was pouring from the second to the first floor and no one could figure out why. Steve is great!

I highly recommend Steve and S&B Plumbing. My HWH started to leak and needed replacing. I called and left a message, he returned my call within 10 mins and was at my place in a couple of hours. He was able to have is team member replace the water heater the next day, he was neat and informative. Steve came by to review the work and sign off on the job. He told me to call with any issues or questions, he was a great guy! It was a great experience all around.

I had a leaky in my ceiling and called S & B and received a speedy response. Steve was able to come the next day and ascertain that the leak was not a plumbing, but rather, caulking problem. He was so kind and honest. I will definitely call them next time I have any plumbing related issues!!

I love S&B plumbing. I have lived in Hoboken 23 years and they have handled about 5 or 6 jobs for me. Always very responsive and clear in their explanations of what I need and they have great availability.

They are here right now and installing a new stacked washer and dryer. I had some issues with the shipping company who kept rescheduling. They were great and said just call us whenever it gets there and we will send someone out. I explained that I had 48 hours from day of delivery to have it installed and checked out if there were any problems and I needed to return it. They understood and said no problem, they would make sure they had someone there to install and inspect.

They sent a plumber out a week ago to unhook my old gas w/d. I had them scheduled to come the next day to install the new one, but the shipping company canceled at the last minute. I worked with Joanne on the phone and she said just keep them in the loop. I informed Joanne that it was now scheduled to arrive today and she said no problem. Just call them when it is in my apartment and they will send someone over. Sure enough, it got dropped off and I called. They had Jose here in 30 minutes. The same guy who unhooked the old unit, so he was familiar with everything. Terrific team!

OK where do I begin I see there are four other reviews for the same problem that I am dealing with I have called left numerous messages finally someone came it was the owner to give me an estimate after waiting 5 days I finally got an estimate. I called back the following day no one returned my call I called 6 more times no one return my call finally today Thursday November 1st I called up I got a very nasty woman on the phone who really didn't care if she got the business or not I asked her if she was a relative of the owner and she said no and I said do you usually talk to customers in that tone of voice and she laughed and she said if you don't want to do business with us you could take your business elsewhere not only was his estimate the highest out of 3 other people but the speaking mannerism of this woman who answers his phone is horrible she seems like a very unhappy Person. If you're looking for a reliable plumber do not call them. They really don't care if they get the business or not I had to give them one star or else I was unable to put this throw horrible customer service.

I called them and another plumber yesterday for a dishwasher install last minute. Needed a valve changed. One said a month, S&B stayed next day. Get a call a few minutes later that they had an opening. They got someone out here in time, didn't charge me an arm and a leg, and I appreciated working with their whole team. Would highly recommend.
